New species!!
Sorry for the super horrible picture taking. Let me elaborate.
Tropigons
These creatures are very small, about the size of a drinking cup. Their skin is made of a clear glass substitute, and they are filled with strange, colorful liquid. Their organs are clear as well, and surrounded by the liquid, so you cannot see them. They have many spines and spikes, and are quite territorial.
The fluff on their chest and around their face is hardened drink foam. It is super tough, and is used as gills. When they go underwater, the gills take in toxins and carbon dioxide, and filter them into oxygen, which is released. These creatures breathe carbon dioxide.
They have tons of spikes. They have three claws on each paw, three points on each of their two antlers, and two spikes on their tail. Their tail is long and whip-like, and they use it like a whip for self defense. The antlers and the tail spikes carry potent venom, which is strong enough to knock out a full grown man for several days.
They mostly eat fruit, though what type of fruit depends on their subspecies. They all occasionally eat poison dart frogs, which helps create their venom.
There are 11 subspecies, and almost all of them are tropical fruit. Most of them have one color for their body, and a different color antler and tail spikes.
Pineapple- golden insides with brown spikes
Coconut- milky white insides with chocolatey brown spikes
Mango- golden orange insides with bright red spikes
Watermelon- red insides with green spikes
Strawberry- entirely red, both insides and spikes
Hibiscus- fuchsia insides with pale yellow spikes
Orange- entirely orange, both insides and spikes
Kiwi- green insides with brown spikes
Lemon- entirely golden, both insides and spikes
Mint- entirely green, both insides and spikes
Banana- entirely pale yellow, both insides and spikes.
Oh yes, their organs are clear, and their flesh is colored liquid, so they just look like strange clear cat-dragons with colored water sloshing around inside of them.
Singular they are a Tropigon, plural they are called Drinks.
Hybrid Drinks exist, and it is easy to tell if the Tropigon is a hybrid. Either it's insides or spikes will be two colors.
For example, if a Kiwi and a Banana had a baby, the insides would be green fading into pale yellow, and the spikes would be the darker spike color of the two, meaning it would have brown spikes. But, if two Drinks that have mostly the same inside color have a baby, it will be spike color that changes. If a Watermelon and a Strawberry had a baby, the insides would be red, and the spikes would be green fading into red.
They lay their eggs underwater in clusters of about 50 at a time. Once in heat, the female Tropigon can carry 5 clutches of eggs. They lay quite a few so that if some of the eggs get eaten, there should still be a few babies left.
The eggs are the most vulnerable part of a Tropigon. The eggs are squishy and fruity and quite pleasant to eat, so you can sometimes find them in fancy, expensive restaurants. Fish and other sea life enjoy them too.
Once the baby hatches, it's glass skin is so hard that not even dynamite could harm it. The only way to eat them would be to swallow them whole, and then you'd probably get poisoned. The skin softens as they get older, since they have very few natural predators.
Once hatched, the babies make a frantic swim to the surface, where they know by smell and instinct who their parents are. But babies' gills aren't fully developed yet, so there is a high chance of them drowning, depending on how far down the eggs were.
When they are reunited with their parents, they live in tree trunks until they are about 6 months old, and at that time they know how to function and life their life.
These creatures are incredibly smart, and if you have one as a pet (VERY BAD IDEA) you could train them easily if they weren't trying to escape.
Tropigon's biggest enemies are humans. As adults, strong bullets can injure them. There isn't anything stopping all of their liquid from spilling out, and that is what keeps their organs pumping. If their organs are exposed to air, they will shrivel up and not work. All of their organs are vital.
Humans like to hunt them for their juices, which can be served as very expensive drinks, like the fancy version of a piña colada. It costs a lot of money to even have a small amount of this drink.

Has a smaller build
Always moving
So yeah, that's my new species!
How to adopt
Since this species is currently closed (meaning you cannot just make them) you have to do one of several things to get one.
•Draw to Adopt•
The DtA is simple. I put out a picture of a Tropigon, and give a set date. You must draw the Tropigon and post the picture in a book, tagging me in the process. I go through the entries after the due date and decide which one I like best. That person gets the Tropigon.
•Win to Adopt•
To participate in the WtA, you must win a contest. Sometimes I will give a Tropigon as a prize for winning a raffle or a contest. If you get one of these, then you get to design it, along the guidelines of course.
•Friend to Adopt•
The FtA works like this: you are my friend, so I give you a free Tropigon. All of you are my friends, but some people deserve Tropigons in their life.
So, congrats! You read all of this! Put your favorite subspecies of Tropigon in the comment section if you really read the whole thing.
