"Hold him still!" Tord, the pack's Alpha, ordered. Two others forced Tom down on his knees and held Tom's shoulders so he couldn't escape. The rest of the pack gathered around as Tord had ordered them to. Tord stood over Tom and began punching him repeatedly.

~Riley's pov~

I pushed through the crowd and saw the Alpha beating my mate, Tom, practically to death. I was scared to interfere with the Alpha but I loved Tom and couldn't stand to see him in pain. I ran up to the Alpha and got down on my knees.

"Alpha, please! Stop this! He hasn't done anything wrong!" I beg as tears roll down my face.

"Alpha, please I'm begging you! Spare him!" I beg one more but he continues his assault on Tom.

Without thinking, I grabbed the Alpha's arm, keeping him from delivering another punch to Tom's face. He looked down at me with an angered glare and threw me off of him. I flew a couple of feet away and landed roughly on my belly. I tried to get up but he stepped on my back, forcing me down.

"You need to know your place, Omega! I am the Alpha of the pack, and I will not listen to someone as lowly as you!" He yelled. I yelp in pain as he quickly kicked me in the side.

~Tom's pov~

I watched as Tord threw Riley and stomped on her back. I felt so much pain,but I try to struggle out of Paul and Patryk's grip. But I then I heard a Yelp of pain and see Riley curled into a ball, holding her side. She was sobbing and I couldn't take it any longer.

I growled and closed my eyes tightly. Letting my inner wolf out was difficult while I was in pain, but my anger helped it. I grew taller and blue and black fur covered my body. I threw Paul and Patryk off of me and punched Tord away from Riley. I quickly but gently pick her up and dash away from the pack, not taking a second look back.

It wasnt safe for us in the pack any longer. As long as Tord is Alpha, he will show no mercy.
