~Thomison's pov~

"RYLA STOP" I yelled to get Ryla to stop the incantation. The Demon and Ryla both look at me and the rest of the group.

"Oh, well, if it isnt the heartbreaker." Torathan said as he stood up with Ryla in his arms.

"What do you mean, 'heartbreaker'?" I ask, genuinely confused. Torathan chuckled and smirked. Locking his yellow and red eyes with mine.

"Are you really that stupid? Ryla had feelings for you, up until your little fight. Her heart shattered so badly that she came crying to me~"

"Tom, this cant be true, you said that Ryla got lost after we found the inn." Edd said.

"Oh~ so you lied to them. You lied to your friends. Well, why dont you tell them the truth." Torathan said smugly. God, I wanted to punch him in the face.

"Tom. What is he talking about?" Angel asked. Her voice laced with worry.

"Yeah, Tom... what's really going on." Luna asked not quiet as gently as Angel.

I take a deep breath and face my team. Hopefully they wouldn't be too mad at me after this.

"...Riley didnt get lost. She was sitting outside of the inn and we got into a verbal fight..." Matthias, Edd and the girls looked at me in shock. Torathan clicked his tongue and set down Ryla.

"That isnt the entire story, Thomison." He says with a smirk

"I... accused her of being disloyal to the team and siding with Torathan and... I told her that I couldn't trust a 'Hybrid Witch'..." the all gasp and look at me dissapointedly.

"Tom... why would you ever say something like that?" Edd asked.

"Yeah! I should punch you in the fucking jaw for saying that to Ryla! Shes a goddamn saint!" Luna yelled and tried to advance toward me. Luckily, Angel held her back.

"I was angry. I didn't mean anything I said," I turn to Ryla.

"Ryla, I am so very sorry... you are a strong, intelligent, beautiful, young woman and you were right, you were right about everything. You were right about fighting techniques, about directions to the inn, about... me not listening to you..." As I look down to avoid eye contact with Ryla. She walked slowly towards me. He placed her hands on my cheeks and gently lifted my head so that I looked into her warm, amber eyes. She smiled gently and stroked my cheeks lightly with her thumbs.

"I forgive you, Thomison."

~Ryla's pov~

I could hear Torathan growling behind me. He must be angry since I forgave Tom. 

"No! You Cannot Forgive Him!" Torathan roughly grabbed my arm and pulled me away from Tom. He grabbed me by the shoulders and made me look at him.

"Ryla, Just think about what he said to you, think about how he made you feel! He ignored you, accused you of disloyalty, and called you a witch. Are you really just gonna forgive him after how poorly he has treated you?!" Torathan explained/yelled. I sighed and look Torathan straight in his eyes. the white parts of his eyes were yellow probably due to the sulfur concentration in his blood and his irises were the color of fresh blood. 

"I did think about how he has treated me. I thought of all those painful moments, Torathan. I thought about how he treated me as more of a pawn rather than an equal. But, he apologized and I am willing to forgive him. Just as I am willing to forgive you. " Torathan's went slightly wide with a slight gasp, the look of total disbelief on his face. I gently grab his two curled horns and pull him down so that I can give him a gentle kiss on his head. I heard the team gasp. I let go of Torathan's horns and let him straighten himself out. He stands up straight and lust looks down at me, not knowing what to say.

"Forgiveness is a powerful thing, Torathan. It's sometimes cruel and complicated or it just doesn't work at all. But the most willing to forgive have the biggest hearts and care for others more than themselves... I don't know all the havoc and chaos that you have cause. But I don't see a Demon Prince, who deserves to be feared, standing in front of me. I just see another person who has taken a few wrong turns in his life. I am willing to accept you as a friend, Torathan."

And that's how the team had a new addition to help them fight for what's right. Ryla and Thomison later got married, Matthias and Luna became very close with one another, and Torathan started to take interest in Angel. Along the way, Edward met a neko and became very good friends with him.
