Okaayyyyy.... So I've been planning to talk about my opinions on Aphmau for a few days now, and I wanted to make it now, so... Yeah. Here are my thoughts on Aphmau, or Jess.

Warning, there may be Spoilers to stuff in here, I don't know how far some of you are if you watch Aphmau, so be warned.

Ok, so first of... A lot of people don't give Jess, Jason, and their crew enough credit for what they do. Heck I didn't give them enough credit for what they do. But I thought about it and realized,

They've been doing this for like... 3, maybe even 4 years now? I don't know it may be five. Actually wait, I started watching them in 5th grade when they were on Minecraft Diaries Season 1, Episode 60. Wait, I can check... No no, it was episode 53. Sorry.

Um, Laurence Undone, Episode 53 of Minecraft Diaries Season One, is the episode they were on when I joined the fandom.

That was three years ago. They've been doing this series, for three years, and probably plan to continue it from how things are going. And honestly, no offense to other Minecraft role-players but, Jess and her crew are the best Minecraft role-players, and set a model for those starting out.

What they are creating is beautiful, and they probably didn't expect to go this far. I remember seeing a really old Minecraft Diaries video, like, the very first Minecraft Diaries episode. Not season one, but... The original. The one where she was basically just playing around with mods, with no order, and practice.

She and her crew have come a long way, and at first it was only her and Jason, and what they made out of the series was amazing. An amazing storyline, great characters, themes, setting, all of it. And sure, the character Jess plays, Aphmau, is kind of a Mary Sue, but I feel like it's better that way.

Not saying that making Aphmau a non-mary sue is a bad thing. I think it would be better for the series if they made her less of a mary sue, but I feel it's better for the fans, whether they know she's a mary sue or not.

For those who don't know she's a mary sue, Aphmau will just be the best character to them. Someone they can... look up to. And I know this is stereotyping, but I feel most younger viewers, probably around the age of nine or ten think this. Yeah, yeah, I know its stereotypical, but I'm basing it off of my own, and some of my friends experiences.

Heck I didn't even know what a mary sue was back then. I didn't even know it was a THING!!

But, back to Aphmau.

I feel she'd be a better character as a mary sue for those who DO know that as well. It shows that even people like Jess, a person who writes brilliant stories and characters, can make mistakes. The series isn't perfect by no means, it definitely has some flaws to it, but I feel that it's better for people to see those flaws so that they-

A) know not to make those mistakes in any story/role-play they create, and B) Learn that not everything is perfect.

Another point I want to make, is that they branched off to other storylines, and not just Minecraft Diaries. They then went off to make MyStreet which turned into the more... humorous, side of the channel.

There are some things that were in MyStreet that I still find really funny. Like Garroth's obsession over Sprinkles, and then in Pixel Painters he found out about Aphmau being Sprinkles. And Garroth and saying, CAW CAWW!! I liked that too!

And Garroth with his little feather obsession, and thinking that was how to woo the ladies. Now that I think about mostly all of these were Garroth... Hm.

But anyways, you get the point. MyStreet was a good series, and I'm happy they continued it, as well as Minecraft Diaries! But, now we'll get on to the stuff I don't like...

Okay so, one thing is... Aarmau. I HATED that ship, and still do to this day. There was no.. growth. It was literally just Aphmau finding Raven who gave her a baby, and then Aaron was like, "Oh, I can take care of kids, I'll help!" And that's it.

They trained together, sat in a forest, had like, two picnics with Lilith, and bam, he dead she pregnant.

I feel like if they introduced him sooner, or at least fleshed out his personality more, I would've liked the ship. Like Garmau, that had tons of growth, and Garroth gave up his life to save her, and get her and her friends home.

And if you really think about it, isn't it Aaron's fault in the first place that Garroth got that amulet? Aaron took the amulet from Jacob, and no one knew what he did with it. Whatever he did with it, it definitely wasn't a good thing. I don't remember how Aphmau, or whoever found it first, got their hands on it, but all I know is that it started with Aaron. I'm not trying to be rude to Aaron, I honestly found his character interesting, and would have loved to learn more about him before his death, but... He never really clung to me. Even in MyStreet.

SPEAKING OF MYSTREET!! Why don't we think about Season one for a moment, hmm.. And then think about Phoenix Drop High for a second...

Oh yeah, after Phoenix Drop High came out you might as well just throw MyStreet S1 out the window, because that didn't follow up at all! Sure, they came out with Phoenix Drop High long after MyStreet S1, but a lot of stuff in that season was important to future plot points. 

Like Kawaii_Chan (Nana's), love for shipping people together! Sure they kept it in PDH, but MyStreet was where it started. Where we introduced the characters in modern day times.

But really, was it the first? No, it wasn't. Do any of you old Aphmau fans remember the slumber party side story when Aphmau and Nicole dressed up as Adrian and Nick to spy on the boys? Yeah, that one.

Uh, remember that Prank Call part? And the um.. Ponies. How Zane went to destroy who called him, Aphmau, and saw the Pony destruction and realized, Ponies are the fricken best! Yeah that also has a big part in the series too! 

And guess what? PDH RUINED IT!! His love for My Little Horsies didn't start until he was a full blown adult, and they decided, yeah we gonna add it to PDH.

WTFF??

But seriously, another thing about PDH is... That's probably one of the things that ruined Aphmau for me. PDH was one of my least favorite of Jess's videos, and they are still making it to this day. And what happened to the Lily and Aaron thing, huh? Lily was there, yet she and Aaron had zero interaction what so ever!!

*breathes* ok my PDH rant is over, now back to more dislikes.

One of my biggest problems is in Season One. No, I don't blame Aphmau for being an in-experienced role-player, but still... YOU CAN'T BREAK THE FOURTH WALL!! THERE IS A LINE AND APHMAU CROSSED IT MULTIPLE TIMES!!! 

I remember her doing this several times-

Aph- Ok, we're gonna talk to you now, and- *opens up character dialog*, WOAH THAT'S A WALL OF WORDS!!

WHEN YOU CONSCIOUSLY KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN A ROLE-PLAY WHEN YOUR SUPPOSED TO 'ACT', YOU CAN'T JUST AAUUUGGG!!! 

This is the worst thing you could do in a role-play, and you wanna know why? Because it makes people think, oh, this is how this is gonna be role-played? I'm out. 

I know this because I was that person! I didn't watch half of MCD S1 because of that, and because I found it kind of boring. There wasn't too much story until, like, the last 10 episodes of Season 1.

Also, another reason I stopped watching Aphmau (just in general) is because they delayed S3 of MCD. I know they were working on Estorra, and that probably took a lot of time and I applaud them for doing so, plus the builds in MCD S3 probably took awhile as well, but... They delayed it for too long, and I was just starting to get really bored of MyStreet, and I only watched episodes that had some interesting title or thumbnail in MyStreet S3 after Love Love Paradise.

Even then I never 'watched the episodes', I just fast forwarded them and skimmed through it, not really paying much attention until it reaches a part that looked interesting.

And then when they came out w/ MCD S3, I was ecstatic! But all too soon, I got bored, and stopped watching Aphmau.

Those are my dislikes, BUT WAIT, I'M NOT DONE!!!

It's time for some serious.... shipping talk. When I left the fandom, there was one thing I didn't leave behind, and that was my ships. I had a few, but one stood out and that was Zane-Chan, or Zana.

Of course I had other ships too, like, Garroth x Lillian (yea I remember her, and was super upset when they didn't bring her back), Garroth x Ivy, Garroth x Azura (If that's how you spell it), Katelyn x Vylad, Zane x Travis, Garroth x Laurence, etc.

And yeah, I was a Katelyn and Vylad shipper. They never really talked much, but, I liked it :3

ANYYWAYSSS!! Zane-Chan is slowly destroying my life. Seriously. And I feel like there's a main reason I ship it too..

IT'S LITERALLY THE ONLY SHIP THAT I SHIP HARDCORE THAT ISN'T GAY!! Seriously I literally only ship hardcore gay ships. Zane-Chan is the only non-gay ones that I ship hardcore.

But yeah, that's really all I wanted to talk about with ships was my obsession over Zane-Chan. I MEAN WHO DOESN'T LOVE THIS--

I MEAN SERIOUSLY, ITS SO FRICKEN CUTEEEE!!!! 

Ok. uh. Yeah, I have a serious problem XD

But anyways, back to Aphmau. Aphmau... Has inspired me so much. I mean.. I know I've said Warrior Cats was the reason I started drawing but really... It was Aphmau.

I was just inspired to draw them as cats because of the WCs series, but Aphmau is one of the main reasons I started drawing. Really, Aphmau has done so much, and inspired so many things in my life.

Heck, Aphmau is the reason I'm here. The reason I'm on Wattpad, the reason I started writing and drawing is all inspired from her works. Yeah, my  friends and Warriors also helped, but it was mainly Aphmau that made me WANT to do this.

People don't give enough credit to her and her crew, as I said before. And they should. I just wanna give a huge thank you to Aphmau and her Crew for everything they've done for me, and people around me. Sure, they have no Idea seeing as they have another 3 million people to worry about, but still.

Part of me misses you, but. A lot of me loves you Aphmau. Thank you.

And thank you to all of those who read this, seriously, geez. XD
