The species' name is Aquanovus, and it's an open species. All the information you need to know about it is below.
Name: Aquanovus
Habitat: oceans all over the globe
Appearance: An Aquanovus can have a wide variety of colours, but they are usually cooler colours. They also have an abundance of patterns, ranging from spots to stripes (or both). They all have the same basic build, but their webbed back frills can be many different sizes. They all have a slit tail with bulbs on the end. These bulbs can be any colour, but are usually the same colour as the Aquanovus' eyes. These bulbs also glow, and are larger on males. (Example below)
Classification: reptiles
Diet: fish and squid
Other: they can hold their breath for up to an hour
