The waves had always seemed to almost whisper to her. They spoke of better tidings, of far off places, of things yet to come. Through everything in her short life, the tide beating into the shore with its unceasing consistency was the one thing that Adreanne could always count on. She had built her life, and her kingdom, on the edge of the ocean to listen to it sing. What she hadn't counted on, however, was how much of her truly belonged to the tides.
