Spillin' Da Tea

This story's gonna be a doozie... There's a bit too much to go over, so bear with me. Because it's so long, I'm going to incorporate a 'chapter' system. Gonna be split into two parts, too. Good luck!

Meet Her Better

Dirty, Dirty Tracer

Species Showdown

Money Snatcher

Birthday Disaster

So, for context, I live in a small town that surrounds a lake. I lived right around the corner from my elementary school at the time, and because all the schools were around the same area, I grew up with the same people. I had a group of friends who we'll list as follows:

Grey: Closest friend and amazing person. (Now female to male trans)
Panda: (At the time) overly attached friend who enjoyed spending time with us. (Kinda got annoying, sorry gurl- love you)
Zoe: Panda's close friend. Equally as clingy but still a great person.
Koala: Amazing artist (who got me into art) and a great friend that I've known since preschool. (Now female to male trans)
Me: Chubby idiot with absolutely no brain cells.
(Grey is no longer with us, having to move with her mom to Arizona.)

MEET HER BETTER

Now. I'm kinda known as the 'fat weeb girl that everyone hates' so I was glad to have the select few friends I had. So near the middle of fifth grade, a girl, who we'll call Baka because it honestly sums her up, joined the school. Me, Grey, Zoe, and Koala were in the same class. Charlie and Panda were in a different class from both us and each other. Baka ended up joining Charlie in the class besides my own.

Layout context, as a fifth-grader, we had an area we shared with the fourth graders. It had two wallball courts, two volleyball courts, four basketball courts, and three handball courts. Grey, Koala, Zoe, and I exited the classroom to find a huge crowd beside the handball courts. Koala told us it was because of a new girl. According to him, she LOVED to draw.

Seeing as we did too, we ran over to introduce ourselves. Baka was already showing off her sketchbook quite proudly. The page turned to a piece of Mangle fanart (Traced, but I didn't know that until Grey pointed it out.) I said it looked really cool. A bunch of the people around had begun to leave because of me, but me being the oblivious little brat I was, I didn't notice.

Grey, as I stated, pointed out she had seen something exactly like it while scrolling through Google+ (Rest In Peace, Bro) The conversation went something like this. (Won't be exact seeing as it was 4 years ago. Sorry.)

Grey: "Hey, Wait! I saw that art while scrolling through Google+"

Me: "Wait, you did?"

Baka: "Oh, yeah! I saw it too so I just used it as a reference."

Okay. I just wanna say that the art was an almost EXACT replica of the piece that Grey ended up showing me later in the afternoon back at my house. I just brushed it off, Not really caring.

Not much ended happening that year, but nearing the end of it, I invited her to my place for a sleepover with Grey.

(Something I should have mentioned, Grey had a crush on Koala and the two had dated for a few months that year before Koala cut it off. Grey was still currently recovering when Baka showed up and kinda... Stole his heart--)

DIRTY, DIRTY TRACER

The two of them were at my place and we had just finished making ramen when Baka decided to show me Amino. It was obvious she was a furry. Me, being the 'innocent' cursing machine I was back then, Had absolutely no idea what a furry was despite me drawing the anthropomorphic animals constantly. The two of us spent a good hour drawing to make a profile for Furry Amino.

Now, that's around the same time she showed me her profile. It was FILLED with traced art from other people. Not even bases. Actually, a good section of them was TRACED bases. I had no idea that it was bad at the time, so I just complimented her for being so good.

That's all that really happened that night beside me chasing them around the house with a knife because I wanted to sleep and they wouldn't let me. (True story.)

Nothing huge happened until we rolled into our sixth-grade year. Our middle school was down the street from mine and Baka's house, so it wasn't uncommon for her to offer me a ride if she caught me walking.

Context For The Next Part: Grey had to fly to Pennsylvania to stay with her father all summer, so it left Baka hella lonely. She texted me a lot, and because she lived down the street, I frequently asked to come over. A good majority of the time, she said yes.

SPECIES SHOWDOWN

Baka was aware of Greys little thing for her which is why Grey texted her quite a bit. Baka never wanted to respond to her. She did that frequently; Ignoring people's texts. She even did it to her parents.

Anyway, During that time, she had made it apparent that she thought I looked like complete crap. (Not that she's wrong, but it kinda stung hearing it from her.)

A bit after we started school again, she had started talking about making a new species. I found the idea interesting and decided to make my own! Of course, she hadn't shown nor told me ANYTHING about the thing beside it looking like a wolf demon goat hybrid.

When I got home, I sat back in my grandfather's recliner and turned on "American Pickers ™" While I drew. I had drawn something along the lines of a feline-ish dog with curly horns and feathered bird wings. I made a post about it on my Amino account and the next day, I run up to Baka with a goofy smile.

"Hey! Did you see my post yesterday?" Not a good idea, Icy. BAD IDEA!

Baka looked at me with a harsh glare. "Yeah. You completely ripped off my species." I was completely shocked.

"Uhm, what-? I-I don't even know what yours looked like..." I fumble over my words a lot. She does too when put under pressure.

"Here, look." She took off her backpack and pulled out her huge sketchbook. Flipping to a page near the middle (?), Baka shoved it in my face. "See? The wings, horns? Everything!"

I stared at her for a second, honest to god confused. "I see where you're at with the horns, but what the hell are you talking about with the wings? Mine have bird wings and can be changed to bat-like wings if I'm paid extra." I said, passing the sass right back.

She kinda snarled. I really don't know what it was, and stalked off. It was obvious she was fed up with it because she didn't talk to me for a good few days. (We had second period together and she actually asked to move tables.)

Grey, being the shy, calm, and levelheaded boyo he was (And still is), Was remaining neutral with everything, Even going as far as to calm Baka down when she got salty with me. By this point, I was fed up with her attitude towards it too. I dropped it after a while and even took down the post. The day after I did that, Baka started talking to me!

MONEY SNATCHER

More Context: Greys' older sister DESPISED me. I want to make it clear that the accusations being pressed against me are utter bull, seeing as the situation was just... You'll see...

So, being a Christian in sixth grade, I went to the church that Grey's grandmother ran. I would be dropped off at his house and we would be picked up from there by the pastor (?). A couple of weeks later, I found out my grandparents might have let me go to Anime Expo 2017. Was super ecstatic, seeing as Baka had been bragging about how she was able to go.

When I told her, she seemed super excited! That changed the next week. I walked up to her and she immediately asked me if I had taken $20 from Grey's sister, who we'll call M. Of course, I immediately denied it and asked her why she thought that.

"Well, M called me and said she saw you take it out of her gym bag!"

I stared at her, dumbfounded. What I didn't think about then was the fact that M was in HIGHSCHOOL, and the only days you took your gym bag home were on Fridays. I was at their house on a WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON! I hadn't even been there for 30 minutes! Not one other time had I been there, either. I admired Baka so much that it hurt to hear that come from her.

Me, being the depresso expresso little coffee bean I was, walked off to try and seem tough. I ended up huddled in a ball, crying against a fence. My friend, who we'll call S, came up to me and asked me if I was alright. I told her what happened and she told me to ignore Baka. Just as I should have.

I went back to class and the next time I saw Baka, her, Zoe, and Panda walked away without another word. Speaking of them, as of now, they had completely changed. The two of them were now considered popular. Panda was just beginning to degrade into the person she is present time, and Zoe was slowly deteriorating into a quiet girl with a shitty attitude.

Grey stayed the same, thank god.

BIRTHDAY DISASTER

Context: Baka ended up getting two rats a few months back as of the timeline. She invited Panda and Grey over. Grey and Panda invited me over. Baka didn't seem to mind.

We ended up building a huge fort, but Baka ran into one of the blankets that was conveniently tied to the rat cage and it came crashing down. She immediately started crying and grabbed her rats, Locking herself in the bathroom.

She wouldn't come out no matter how hard we tried to coax her. Explained we needed her help to clean up the spill, seeing as there was stuffing everywhere. (The kinda stuff used for the bottoms of rabbit, ferret, and mouse cages.)

Grey and I ended up cleaning a good portion of it up while Panda was busy trying to lure Baka out of the bathroom. When she realized that it was a failure, she finished up with the cleaning. Eventually, we found out that Baka had unlocked the door and fallen asleep in the bathroom. Her rats had gotten into the dirty clothes basket and were sleeping in there. We had put the rat cage back up, refilled the floor stuff, food, and put the toys back inside.

Completely ruined the sleepover. We let her sleep in there while we built another fort. She woke up as we were settling back into bed, expecting us to have a dance party with her.

OKAy! That's where I'll stop for this post. I'm so sorry it's a lot. Expect another post(?) if people are interested in the story, I can continue. This was only 6th grade. We still have one more year to go over. :)
