I swear, are my OC's the only OC's who doesn't have the cliche "one parent died, the other got abusive", "both parents died, must fend for self" or "One parent died, another one became drug addicted"??

Like, sure, I have OC's Who's both parents has died (Like, only 6 maybe. And that's FF, CC, and 4 others). But every OC I have either doesn't have parents at all (Chemically made in a lab or something so they don't have biological parents and is technically the first blood in their family tree), or both parents alive which either isn't in the picture much or a lot, or they just lost them/kicked them out because they couldn't pay for them or they're damn well old enough TO LIVE ON THEIR OWN HQGQAOEBBFKWLF.

But like, when I'm reading forums, I skip backstories sometimes. Cause I be skimming them, and like, 99% of the time it's "Dad died by ____, Mom became abusive and drug addict" and vice versa.

There are actually creative forums I'be seen like some that are "born during a war, both parents died trying to protect [OC]" or "Parents tried their best to help [OC] but due to _____, they were forced to give up [OC]" and so forth.

Like, come on guys. You don't seem to have a "dark" and "sad" story all the time to have a interesting OC. I want at least one, JUST ONE backstory with the goddamn parents trying to HELP and RAISE the child instead of getting ABUSIVE like all the time!

For example, I have an OC Who's royalty. His dad is very supportive of his bisexual motives, and his mother is supportive of his school life. Both parents want to help their son be raised into a responsible King. Not abusive parents who forces him to act a certain way, read their brains out, beat him when he's not at his best, break his arm. None of that. JUST RESPONSIBLE PARENTS.

I know not everyone has good parents, but it gets uninteresting when literally everyone in your forum page has the same backstory :/

Coming back to the Example, the interesting part about his backstory is that during his teen years, because of his persona, it causes him a lot of problems and drama coming adult. Which is where the Roleplay usually starts. Nothing major like murder.

This is just a rant about how not creative backstories can get when it comes to OC's. It's good to have OC's, but I'd every one of your OC's have the same backstory, then there's a lack of creativity.

Just a rant.
