"Lucy, please make sure the animatronics are shut down and not going to activate, thank you."

As teen it's tough and I was always having to check they were turned off as the one student we hired usually forgot.

I didn't hate the job in fact I love it, it's just annoying when people don't do their job correctly.

It seemed to be annoying to the other longer paid workers who get the most annoyed.

Finn who was one of the employees from Germany and had been here for the last how many ever years.

Was in charge of maintenance of the park. He had trained in engineering a few years before he ever started.

He got annoyed when people tended to act stupid and make his job even harder.

And Quincy the French woman was in charge of the ticketing and had to try and not lose it on parents.

The ones who always demanded to speak to the manager about the pricing being too high.

Honestly it has to be a tiring job.

Liam who was from Switzerland was the guy who made sure that everything was running smoothly.

Also making sure people were having a good time and making sure everything was accounted for.

It sometimes annoyed him when teenage boys nearly brake the  equipment made for kids.

And then there's me And Akira who's from Japan and we have to make sure kids aren't up on stage and trying  to play with them.

They were still old even though the maintenance work Akira and I do made them look brand new all the time.

The only animatronic that actually walked around was a suit type but it had safety features.

So that the under parts of the suit didn't rip and expose little wires or any sharp pieces of metal.

Hence why the inside is so padded and gets really hot and stuffy. The annoying thing for me was when kids asked.

"Are these like the Fight Nights At Freddy's animatronics that are in the games?"

Some kids just don't give up. I don't even know what the game is based on besides it's mainly used name FnAf and. I seriously get really really pissed but I just say no.

I could do without that question.

I had made my way to the animatronic stage and the suit was inside behind everything.

Although it was set in the wrong place which was behind the princess animatronic.

She was the one animatronic that seriously hated to be touched. She was always playing up and so we usually turn her off all the time cause she's nothing but annoying.

Also it was night time and the lighting wasn't great so i wasn't going to risk having her freak out.

It's annoying when i realize that oh ya she doesn't have a turn off button but she has a remote which only works 50% of the time.

She's old too so I don't expect her to do that much, not to mention she malfunctions and breaks down a lot.

The joys of being a animatronic maintenance keeper (sarcasm). A lot of the time Shadow was easier to deal with as he was made more old fashioned like.

Suddenly a voice was heard.

"Lucy, oh there you are. Why're you around the back with the animatronics this late?"

At first I thought it was Akira but when I spun round it wasn't him and it was someone who I never wanted to see again.

When did he come back to town? I thought he left and on top of that, this was just getting weird.

Looking at me with hazel eyes that was completed with perfect body and looks.

It was none other than my ex Samuel who cheated on me with one of the exchange students, that started work here.

Since then I was more drawn to Shadow after that and can u really blame me?

I wasn't going to put up with him.

"What're you doing here Samuel? I thought you left for Europe with that slut."

He chuckled and stepped closer to me. He then proceeded pull me into a hug holding me against him.

I could feel the anger and sadness swell inside me.

I wanted to shove him, I didn't have to though as Shadow's right arm swings out hitting Samuel in the shoulder, making him stumble side ways.

I decided to run jump on the stage behind the animatronics and luckily I knew them better than him.

I avoided upsetting the animatronics as I didn't knock them or anything which would be bad if I did.

I called for Akira who came quickly and it turned out Samuel was on the run from the law.

Turns out he was abusive to women and was under investigation of a recent murder.

I was so relieved that I didn't stick around, when the cops came he said I was lucky that I ran when I did.

It still sends chills down my spine. Oh man did this night end in a interesting manner.

I headed back to the trailer/house and got ready for bed. I was tired and needed sleep as I had lots of work to do tomorrow.

"Popcorn, get your popcorn only $2 get them while their good."

"Mummy I wanna go on that ride."

"Honey mummy can't she has your baby brother to look after."

"Hey Quincy can u give me a hand here please?"

"No probs just let me get someone to take over the booth."

Today was the busiest and there were lots of people and I mean lots.

Akira and I were with the animatronics as to make sure nothing malfunctioned.

"Hey kid don't touch him! Oi lady get your kid away from the animatronics please."

Akira was trying to stop a kid that looked roughly 5 and his mother didn't seem pleased.

She started to get angry.

"Who the hell are you?! Listen I came her for my kid and paid a lot of money.

You allow that other animatronic suit to walk around and interact with people. There's no difference.

I demand to speak to your manager right now."

The lady had fort hair at the back and had it long at the front and was acting like an entitled kid.

She kept demanding she she the manager, I listened to her voice and picked up an accent.

She was American and I suddenly heard some call out.

"Karen"

Wow please don't tell me this running joke is seriously legit.

Their are people who act like a Karen? Ha this was a first and she was American.

I never understood some people as they never made any sense a lot of the time.

I was too busy monitoring the kids and the animatronics. One girl came up and asked if she could hug the prince.

The prince animatronic was a favorite to the girls as he had a charming look to him.

He was never turned on a lot of the time due to him having a hole in his shoulder where rain had gotten in and so he's kinda faulty.

It didn't matter though as kids still liked him. The princess was started up but we were careful as we didn't know her temperament at that moment.

She was one that we had to monitor carefully as we didn't want any kids getting hurt or injured or worse.

She seemed okay for the time being so that was fine but keeping her from freaking out was different.

"Oh hon don't touch her, please she's not suitable to go near but if you would like to hear her songs."

After hearing that the kids went crazy as expected and the girl was nodding her head fast as well.

She was so excited and it was as she looked adorable.

A mother walked past with her kid and I looked at them as they past. I didn't ever plan on having kids and would only want to get married if that.

I didn't hate or dislike kids I just didn't desire a kid at all.

A lot of the people I knew in high school were either pregnant or were going to end up pregnant.

That reminded me I had school in an hour and had to get the bus.

"Akira can u take over while I get a replacement or are u okay? I ask cause I have to get to school in an hour."

He smiled.

"Don't worry I'll be fine you just worry about yourself okay."

With that I hugged him and then took off at full speed and got ready as fast as I could.

Man today was going to and already was busy and it was 8:30 AM as we only opened up an hour ago.

I walked to the bus stop and took in my surroundings. We were not exactly in town and were more in the country.

The roads were made of gravel and dirt and waiting for the bus sucks. If you couldn't tell I'm not a morning person.

The bus pulls up and it looks like a hippy bus but it had nothing hippy related.

"Good morning Lily, nice day to day don't ya think."

Said a blond perky women who looked as if she was in her 30's and she was really nice.

"Hello Susan, good morning to you too. It is a nice day."

I showed by bus card and then took a seat near the window on the left. As we were heading down the dirt road we were coming up to another house that was kinda run down.

We picked up Micky who was from a poor family and they only had enough for his food and education.

He was a good guy who was never mean to anyone but even so it didn't stop bullies as that was his weakness.

"Hey Micky you want to sit with me?"

He looked at me and nodded, he had a light dusting of freckles across his nose and had a kind smile.

He had raven black hair that came down to his shoulder. He also had green eyes and a light tan.

He wasn't ugly, if anything he was cute like a girl but you could tell he was a dude but his face was on the cute side.

While the bus was driving into town I gave him one of my ear buds that I'd had in my pocket and listened to some music.

After we got to school we walked through the gates together talking about English and history.

I knew today would be a good day.
