ANNIE HAD BEEN at the UConn dorms for a little bit now, but she had yet to seen KK as she had left before the actress arrived and hadn't come back since.

So currently, the younger Fudd sister was sat on the couch with Amari in front of her, helping her take out her braids. They had some random reality show on Amari's laptop, so that the time would pass by faster. Annie had one section in the back left and Amari was working on one of the front sections of her hair when KK came in yelling, "If any of y'all eat my food again we're fighting!"

Paige then silently nudged KK before nodding her head in the direction of Annie on the couch, which then turned into a whispered fight between the two of them going back and forth saying, "Why didn't you tell me she was gonna be here," and "I didn't know she was coming!"

"Ya know we can hear you?" Amari turned her head to look at the two girls in the kitchen, who immediately stopped their arguing and turned to look at them.

"Azzi know you're here?" the blonde asked after placing her food into the fridge and walking over to Annie.

"Mhm," Annie hummed detangling another braid of Amari's. "Plus I promised someone I'd come surprise
them," Annie said, her eyes still not leaving one of the braids in her hands.

"Ah," Paige nodded her head before turned to look at KK, who had just been watching them talk the entire time. "Ion think I've ever seen her this quiet," she said, directed towards the girl on the floor, who just started laughing.

"Me either," Amari agreed with Paige as she looked up at a shy KK.

"Here, I'll finish and you two can hang out," the blonde sat down on the couch, attempting to push Annie off it. Annie's eyes opened wide, showing that she was obviously nervous to hang out with the girl for the first time, "Dude. Go," Paige said before pushing her off the couch and immediately taking her place so she couldn't sit back down.

Annie then nervously walked over to the freshman, her arms crossed against her chest self consciously, "So, you gonna hold up your promise and turn me into a D1 athlete or what?" she asked turning her head to the side and looking up at the girl who was slightly taller than her.

"I never break a promise," KK smiled, looking down at the girl in front of her, "You wanna change then meet back here in like 10?"

"Sounds good," Annie nodded, biting back a smile before she disappeared into the hallway, so that she could go change. KK stayed in the living room as she was already in basketball shorts and an athletic shirt, so she didn't need to change.

"I can literally feel your nerves radiating off you," Amari laughed finishing the last braid she had.

"Girl boo," KK shook her head sitting down on the couch, pulling her phone out and starting to scroll on TikTok as she waited for the Fudd girl to return.

"She truly is ass at basketball by the way," Paige looked up at KK, "Like...it's bad," the blonde laughed.

"It can't be that bad," KK responded before Annie walked back into the living room wearing a light blue Alo matching set, a sports bra with biker shorts, and her braids pulled back into a ponytail. KK found her eyes roaming the girls body as she looked her up and down before feeling someone hit her and bring her back to earth.

"Stop staring weirdo," Paige said staring at KK sternly before looking back at the tv show that played on the laptop. The brunette then got up from the couch and walked over to Annie, who clearly seemed nervous.

"Sorry, these are the only like athletic clothes I have, and I didn't wanna take any of Azzi's clothes," Annie nervously rambled as she played with the water bottle in her hand, her eyes avoiding KK's gaze.

"It's all good little Fudd," she smiled grabbing her own water bottle before opening the front door to let Annie walk out first.

THE WALK TO the practice gym wasn't long and soon enough they were inside of where the UConn team practiced everyday. And as they walked through the building KK said hi to multiple people, as well as introducing Annie to a few new staff members that she had yet to meet through Azzi.

Once they were in the basketball gym, both girls put their water bottles down and KK walked over to the basketball rack, grabbing one, and then walking back over to Annie. "I wanna see you just shoot it first," she said handing the ball over to the girl.

"Umm," Annie practically tried to hide her face with the ball out of embarrassment, she couldn't stand the fact that she was so terrible at something so many people she cared about loved and were fantastic at. "It's not gonna go in," she said holding the ball in front of her stomach with her arms.

"That's ok," KK attempted reassuring her, "Just wanna see what I'm workin with."

Annie let out a deep breath before bring the ball to her face with both hands under the bottom of it before just full sending it across the court with a loud bang against the backboard before the ball dropped to the floor and bounced away.

Annie hid her embarrassed red face with her hands as she turned away from KK walking over to her. "Come here," KK laughed, her hand finding Annie's waist and she turned her around to face her. She had the ball balanced against her hip as she used her free hand to remove Annie's hands away from her face. "It could've been worse."

"Don't lie," Annie cocked her head to the side, her arms crossed against her chest and KK's hand resting against the girl's hip. Annie recognized the warmth against her hip, her eyes darting down to look at KK's hand, which was then immediately removed and found holding the back of her own neck.

"Here," KK handed her the ball, and Annie held it the same way as she did before. "Have one hand directly under the ball, with your elbow in line with your shoulder, and the other on the side of it," she told Annie, but wasn't exactly getting it right so KK placed her hands on top of Annie's, putting them in the correct position. "Make sure you spread your fingers so you have a better grip on the ball," KK corrected and Annie did as told before looking at the girl for confirmation, "Mhm, just like that," she nodded.

KK then made her way behind Annie so that she could direct her to shoot the ball correctly. Granted, she most definitionally didn't have to do it like that, but she wasn't gonna miss a chance to be close to her.

"Make sure you keep your elbow in so that you are able to maintain control over the ball," her voice was low due to their close proximity. KK's hand came up to Annie's right arm, her fingers trailing down to her elbow before slightly moving it more in to correct her. "It'll also help you have more accuracy when shooting." KK then took a step back to look at Annie to see what else she could tell her to do. "When you shoot make sure you jump with the ball. And as you release, use your right hand to make sure it's aimed at the hoop. Then straighten your elbow and push your wrist so that ball arches, instead of just going straight. And you gotta follow through with the shot, okay?"

Annie nodded her head before letting out a deep breath and shooting the basketball using all the techniques and advice KK gave her, and surprisingly the ball actually went in. Though it rolled around the rim for a little bit, Annie couldn't be happier and that was evident by the shriek she let out as the ball went through the hoop.

"Holy Shit!" her jaw dropped as the ball bounced off the ground, "It actually went in," Annie covered her mouth with both her hands as she was in shock she was actually able to do that.

KK then spent hours teaching Annie other things about basketball and by the end of the night they were able to actually play a 1v1, though KK obviously won.

"Wait take a video of me, so Paige will shut up," Annie giggled, handing the phone over to KK, which she gladly took. Annie then went back to the free throw line and did everything KK had told her to do before and when she shot the ball it made a perfect swish in. Causing Annie to turn to the camera with a smile on her face and putting her hands under her chin before she ran over to KK to watch the video.

Then two then got all of their stuff and walked out of the gym and back to the dorms. As they did, Annie's hand brushed against KK's making her quickly retract her hand to her body, too scared KK would find her weird or something.

Once they were back at the dorms, Inês quickly ran over to Annie tackling her in a hug, "When did you get here!?" she asked excitedly, still keep Annie in an embrace.

"This afternoon," she giggled, finally letting go of the girl. And that's when she realizes KK standing behind her and she gives her a look. The two had been close since last year when Azzi introduced the two since they're only apart by one year. So, obviously when the interview came out revealing her crush, Inês messaged her immediately to try and set something up, but Annie shot her down, not wanting to get rejected. And right as Inês went to open her mouth Annie's hand flung to it, "Don't."

"I wasn't gonna say anything," she said removing the girls hand and walking into the living room. "Wanna watch a movie though?"

Annie looked back at KK standing behind her, "Do you wanna join us?" she asked, wanting to include her in as much as possible.

"Imma take a shower, so maybe I'll catch the end half?" she smiled and Annie nodded her head before join Inês on the couch.

"You gonna tell me what happend or?" Inês questioned turning to look at the younger girl.

"Put the damn movie on," Annie laughed, slumping into the couch.
