Manik was sitting in his bedroom thinking about something when he heard call from anvi.... chucking his thoughts he moved downstairs.... he was one last step of stairs when he felt someone holding his leg....  without thinking  a tiring lashed  he at the person....

Manik  : fuck off.....

He didn't turned around to see anyone or got idea who was there.... he immediately freeing his leg ran back Turned to other side of stairs and ran back to his room  without sparing a glance of the person.....

While the person starts crying as he left.... anvi came running toward stairs and saw Kaira in tears... she immediately hugged Kaira and rubbed her back to calm her down but Kaira didn't stopped crying...

Seeing Kaira crying none stop made anvi worry..... Kaira didn't stopped crying but she hid her face in anvi neck....

Kaka who came out of kitchen and heard Kaira sobs... he immediately ran to stairs and saw anvi hugging Kaira... he called anvi name...

Kaka :anvi beta....

Hearing kaka anvi got up pulling Kaira in arms and walked to sofa in hall... kaka followed them.... anvi sat down with Kaira still in her arms... Kaira sob went little down... her face was red due to crying badly... kaka looked at Kaira sadly then looked anvi who was rubbing Kaira's back....

Kaka once again calling anvi name... this time anvi looked at kaka with teary eye seeing Kaira crying she felt crying too...

Kaka : anvi beta take Kaira out for sometimes...

Anvi : but kaka... Bhai...

Kaka : don't worry I'll be here.... Kaira will feel good going out....

Anvi didn't wanted to leave Manik  alone but seeing Kaira still crying silently she thought to take Kaira out....

She looked at kaka and nods her head... kaka smiled and patted her head...

Kaka : I'll get water for Kaira....

Anvi nods... kaka left while anvi called Kaira name softly....

Anvi : Kaira.... Kaira please stop crying...

Kaira stopped but didn't remove her head from anvi's neck...she held it tight..... anvi could feel it...

Anvi : Kaira please tell me what happened? Why did you cry... did someone shouted at you... did someone said something to you.... won't you tell anvi Di... if you tell me na then I'll give punishment to that person who made you cry ..... promise Kaira I'll scold that person making our Kaira cry.... tell me please...

Kaira peeped from anvi's neck and looked at her... seeing Kaira face anvi felt sad.... anvi cupped Kaira face...

Anvi : tell me....

Kaira looked at anvi then her went toward the stair...

Anvi too followed her gaze but couldn't fine why she was crying on stairs...

Anvi : yes kaira tell me...

Kaira looked at anvi again... while drinking her tears back she told what happened and why she cried...

Kaira : woh..... Bhaiya ..... shouted at me.... I was trying to.... find you when... I saw Bhaiya coming down.... so I thought to play with him.... he ran to him and held his leg.... but he scold me.... he is bad.... he made me cry.... I hate him.... he is mean... he.....

Kaira starts crying again.... anvi hugged her back.... she rubbed her back.... soon kaka brought water and gave it to anvi... anvi thanked kaka and made Kaira drink some sips.... Kaira stopped crying and looked at kaka holding some biscuits in his hand.... seeing her favourite biscuits... she jumped from anvi's lap and took all biscuits and starts munching making anvi and kaka smile at her....

Anvi : kaka I'll take Kaira out some times.... can you stay with Kaira... till I go and tell Bhai that I'm going out...

Kaka nods... anvi ran up the stairs to Manik's  room... she opened the door and saw him resting his head on headboard with his eye closed... she knew Manik  didn't made Kaira purposely... she knows Manik more than anyone...

Anvi called Manik's name like whisper... but her whisper was loud enough to Manik to her voice... he immediately opened his eye and looked at her...

Manik : baby.... come inside....

Anvi stood next to bed and looked at Manik ... Manik was confuse why anvi was staring like if she would kill him...

Anvi : Bhai.... can I ask you something....

Manik : since when you have starts taking permission to ask question?..

Anvi : Bhai I'm not going twist words today but do you realise what you did today....

Manik was confuse hearing her...

Manik : what do you mean?

Anvi : did you went down like half an hour ago... did you shout at someone without seeing the person....

Manik : how do you know this?.... I mean yes I did go down.... but what happened?

Anvi : Bhai you seriously asking me what happened? Bhai you made Kaira cry... she wanted to play with you... Bhai I didn't expect this from you... Bhai she is child... she is the child... Bhai you can't shout at her anytime.. Bhai she was crying because you shouted at her.... Bhai I don't want to fight with you... I know you it's not your fault but I promised avni Di to look after Kaira and take care of her till she doesn't pick Kaira up... Bhai I'm sorry if my words hurt you... I'm sorry... Bhai I'm taking Kaira out with me some times... kaka will be at home.... please have your meal...

Manik hearing anvi outburst didn't say anything... but his mind was froze... his eyes were on anvi but his mind was playing around... he gave her simply nod.... anvi left the room.... soon as anvi left the room... Manik slowly got of the bed and taking small steps walks to to washroom.....

Anvi walked down the stairs and saw Kaira almost finishing the biscuits.. she smiled and walked to Kaira and called her name... Kaira turned hearing anvi and looked at her...

Anvi : Kaira will you come park with me....

Kaira : Park.... but Nandini di....

Anvi : I'll handle Nandini di.... you wanna go park... I'll take you there...

Kaira : yes park....

She starts jumping leaving the biscuits... kaka and anvi smiled seeing her happy... anvi looked at kaka...

Anvi : kaka I have told Bhai about us coming out... and please give Bhai his meal... I'll come back in hour...

Kaka : okay beta....

Anvi : Kaira shall we go now.....

Kaira : yes let's go...

Anvi held Kaira hand and walked out the house... kaka taking the empty plate walked back into kitchen... he kept the plate in sink when he heard Manik's voice from his room... he immediately ran to Manik's room and knocked door....

Hearing Manik's voice kaka pushed the door and saw Manik sitting on couch......

Kaka : baba you called?..

Manik looked at kaka hearing his voice.....

Manik : kaka where is my laptop?

Kaka : baba laptop..... doctor told you not to work.....

Manik : kaka give me the laptop.... I need to send some Emails....

Kaka nods and left the room knowing Manik
Anger... if Manik doesn't get what he want then whole house will see his anger.... Manik mind was only playing anvi's words...

Unknowingly anvi word did hurt Manik very badly... he was hurt not because she shouted at him but because her each word brought bitter flash of his childhood.... his childhood which he hates to his core.... a life, love, care and Family he never got.... was it his fault coming to earth... why did he suffer only....

He was thinking about his cruel past when he heard someone opening the door... he wiped his tears before anyone could notice his tears and stood up and Walked to widow side and stared out of his room....

He knew was in his room.... after 10 minutes later he turned back and saw the laptop on table... he walked to door and locked it from inside and sat on couch... he switched the laptop in and entered the password... he opened one Particularly file and read it through...... while through reading it his whole eye was puffed red... his eye didn't stop flowing tears... he couldn't control his tears... he immediately shut the laptop and hugged himself and cried hugging his knees....

An hour passed when Manik stopped crying... he separated his knees from himself... he picked the laptop and walked to his drawer... he opened it and kept the laptop under his clothes... he closed the drawer and walked to washroom....

He undressed himself and turned the shower on... soon as hot water touched his body... from his mouth hiss came out... he pressed his lips together to hold his hiss and pain at the same time... he stood in shower for good 1 hour... he turned the shower and took a towel which was hanging right hand side of him... he wiped his body then wrapped towel around  his waist....

He walked out the washroom... he went straight to his cupboard and pulled new pair of clothes... he wore his full sleeves shirt then trouser... he then walked to bed and sat down... his eye landed on his phone... he picked his phone up and turned the button on... soon as he turned on his phone phone beeped with message... he pressed it and opened the message... he read the message and smiled sadly... this message was nothing new for him... he kept his phone and laid down  on bed... his legs were dangled from bed... only his upper body was body....

He closed his eye... and tried sleeping but soon as he closed his eye flashed with those days.... he immediately sat up and decided to walk in garden...

He wore his slipper and left his room... he didn't notice anyone in the hall... soon as Manik left the to garden... house door rang... kaka was on kitchen heard it.....

Kaka left whatever he was doing and left to open door.. he opened door and saw Nandini standing there... kaka smiled and Nandini returned the smile.... Nandini joined her hands together....

Nandini : hello kaka....

Kaka : hello Nandini beta ... come inside...

Nandini smiled and walked inside the House followed by kaka...

Kaka : take seat I'll be back....

Before kaka could leave Nandini stopped him by calling his name...

Nandini : kaka....

Kaka stopped and looked at her...

Nandini : kaka where is Kaira....actually I came to take her...

Kaka : but Nandini beta ... anvi said you will come in evening....

Nandini : yes anvi was right but i couldn't stay away from Kaira so I came to get her... by the way I am not seeing her or anvi... where are they?

Kaka : beta anvi took Kaira to park....

Nandini : park.... did anvi go alone....

Kaka : jee... beta don't worry park is near our House ... it's 10 minutes walks... you sit ... I'll get you water...

Nandini : kaka it fine... I don't need water...

Kaka : but...

Nandini : I really don't need.. thank you...

Kaka : okay then... I'll go to kitchen...

Nana I nods.. kaka left the to kitchen while Nandini sat done and looked around the house... while looking around her eye stopped at Manik's room... she looked at the room and only one name came cross her mind was Manik ...

Nandini mind) Is Manik home... but why Am I thinking about him... what should i do now... even Kaira is not here.... hmm... let's Roam around the house...

She stood up and walked around the house... she saw every single corner of the house... she stood front one room which was looking very old and dusted... she then saw lock on the door... she frowned seeing a lock in one room.. she chucked her thoughts and walked back to hall...

She was walking down the stairs when her gaze fell on figure in the garden... seeing from back she could guess it was Manik
but thought why he was sitting in garden... she marched to garden and stood behind him...

Nandini stood there for minutes and absorb what he was doing or what made him home in garden... seeing him staring at the sky without blinking for once...

She broke the silent and called his name...

Nandini : Manik ....

Manik ears went dead hearing anyone's voice... he didn't feel anything expect he was in garden... his body was present but his soul was no where near his body...Nandini got worry seeing him not reacting... so she took another step and kept hand on his shoulder... soon as Nandini's hand got touch with Manik's  skin ... his soul felt like coming back to owner if the head... Manik  didn't jerked the hand or he turned... he heard this time his name... it didn't took a second to recognise whose voice was it...

Nandini : Manik ..... Manik ..... Manik ....

She called his name few times... he finally decide to respond.... he didn't turn though....

Manik  : come... and sit...

Nandini smiled hearing him but don't why she felt like that... she sat next to him and watched his face...

Nandini:  what you doing here alone..?

Manik  chuckled hearing the word alone.... Nandini found weird seeing him chuckling than responding...

Manik  (mind) alone... is that even a word..... I'm finding so funny hearing the word alone..... I can't believe there is word alone.... alone.... alone...

Manik  took one glance of Nandini  before diverting his gaze from her...

Manik : what you doing here.... I mean  anvi isn't at home....

Nandini : i didn't come to meet anvi.... I came to take Kaira with me....

Manik  : Kaira....

Nandini : yes Kaira my baby... didn't you meet her....

Then it clicked to Manik's head when anvi brought a girl to house.....

Manik : woh... her... I met her....

Nandini : isn't she cute... she is my world... she is so cute....

Manik : hmm!

He just hummed...Nandini noticed him looked off...

Nandini : can I ask you something..

Manik looked at her before gave nod...

Nandini : why are you like this...?

Manik : huh..... what you mean?

Nandini : I mean.... why you always hide from world.... why you hide your pain......
