Oneshot 70

I just came up with this depressing song out of no where... So, I thought I'd make a oneshot about it...

This song seems familiar, so I honestly don't know if it's just an old song or I'm just going crazy.

Depressed Alfred
__________________________

Plucking at his guitar, Alfred gazed out the window. He was sitting in the balcony window of his Paris hotel room, watching all the nations have fun from a distance. He felt his entire being slowly shatter upon thinking of the meeting that had occurred earlier that day.

Everyone seemed to have been against him, even his closest friends. After the meeting was finished, he told them how hurtful it was to hear them insult him. But, they just thought he was joking. So, they laughed at his face and walked off.

They didn't believe that the decades of insults were finally chipping at Alfred's soul. They shrugged him off as if he was worthless, as if his depression was a joke. They failed to realize their betrayal completely tore any hope that Alfred has left, leaving a shell of the brightly optimistic man he once was.

As Alfred continued to pluck his guitar, he began to hum a melody. Getting in the groove, he quickly began to sing.

"Rain drizzles down against the windowpane. As lightning fills the sky with light. The thunder keeps the clouds company. All together they share the infinite sky,

This feeling of gray is engulfing me. And I wish I could say it's not so. But time begun to wear down that windowpane. And I fell through its cracking hole~"

His voice grabbed the attention of many passers, who looked up to see Alfred. They stopped and stood there, waiting for more.

"Oh, Do you remember when their words stopped hurting? Do you remember when it was all a game? Do you remember when our world stopped turning? Anytime we laid in the rain, laid in the rain"

A few more people joined the crowd, including a fair amount of nations. None of them could believe that Alfred was singing to angelically, so beautifully, so sadly.

"Endless emptiness fills this void. That once belonged to the warmth that they gave me. My chest is like a cavern with no noise. As I beckon them to just look up and save me.

No, I don't think that they understand. Just how much their heavy droplets hurt. They just keep pelting down on to me. Leaving me to cry in the dirt,"

The crowd had begun to get teary eyed as they realized what the song was about. The nations in particular get frozen. It made their hearts pang to realize Alfred wasn't lying. Alfred was hurting.

"Oh, Do you remember when their words stopped hurting? Do you remember when it was all just a game? Do you remember when my world stopped turning? Anytime I'd lay in the rain, lay in the rain.

Bruises now litter my tattered heart! And I call for help as I fall apart!

But the rain just keeps coming down~ now I know that I will drown~

The windowpane is now completely shattered~ and I begin to question if I ever mattered~ god, please just tell them to save me~ never mind I'm torn apartttt~"

Alfred's voice began to get gritty as tears slipped down his cheeks. Francis immediately took off, followed by Arthur and Matthew.

"it's time that I just lay in the rainnnn~

oh nooo~

I know I have to go~ my heart is broken so~

I layyyy in the rainnnn~

I just let their droplets shatter me~ I just hoped that one day that they would see~ why couldn't they just look up and save me~ cause not I'm just drowning in the rain that they gave me~"

Alfred settles himself and took a deep breath, doing his best to steady his vocals. Gray clouds began to form around Paris and thunder clapped in the distance.

"Do you remember when their words stopped hurting? No I don't remember when their words stopped hurting~"

With one final strum, a tiny water droplet hit his head. Alfred looked up and saw rain begin to come down and a crowd below his dispersing. He looked up to the sky again and took a deep breath.

"How fitting," he whispered as he picked up his guitar. Closing the balcony door, he sat in his bed and cuddled into the covers.

By the time Francis, Arthur, and Matthew got there, Alfred had already cried himself to sleep. The trio stayed in that room with him, just in case Alfred was planning to hurt himself.

They were going to be the first people he saw when he woke up and save him from drowning in the decades of painful droplets.
