A request from GallopingFlower

I'm tweaking the idea a little. Basically present America goes back in time and the other nations react to the older him.

December 3, 1861

The nations of the world gathered in Madrid, Spain for the World Conference. The hall was rather beautiful as every nation took their assigned seats, chatting amongst their cliques or butting heads at one another *cough* England *cough* France. Antonio happily strolled in and banged a shiny, oak gavel onto the podium. That quickly silenced the room and everybody went to their seats in alphabetical order. Most nations were present, but England noticed the gap to his left and wondered where his ex-colony was. Just as he was going to ask, Antonio held up a letter.

"Alright, amigos. Before we start, I wish to address this letter from America in regards to his absence," Spain quickly opened it, "Antonio, I am afraid I cannot make it to the World Conference set on December 3, 1861. I am also afraid to tell you my reasons must remain confidential, per my president's request. I will be present for the next meeting that was said to be held in London on January 10, 1862. Best Regards, The United States of America,"

"Confidential?!" England spurted, "what right does that human have to tell America anything?! As other nations, we have more of a right!"

"I vonder vhat's happening," Prussia whispered worriedly.

"I hope he's alright," Denmark added. Russia remained silent, but inside he hoped his only friend was doing ok. Many of the nations began to voice their concerns for America, after all, he wasn't even 100 yet. He was still one of the younger of the bunch and the elder nations felt an entitlement to protect him. This continued for ten minutes before the room began to shake and wind mysteriously spiraled around the room. Many of the nations were too freaked out to move, but some did get up grab onto close family or friends. Suddenly, a portal appeared above the long conference table and loud screaming echoed from it. Finally, a figure fell from the portal and his back smacked as it landed harshly against the table. The portal shut immediately after that and everything went back to normal. Many stayed still, not wanting to approach the weird stranger. But, of course, Prussia wanted to look.

"Hey, jou ok?" Prussia asked as he hopped onto the table and knelt beside the boy's head. Prussia felt his breathing halt as he looked upon the man's face, it was America, "Vhat ze hell happened to jou America?!" Gilbert helped the older America sit up and Alfred found his bearings.

"Where the fuck am I?" Alfred's eyes were still dilated, showing he was dizzy and confused. Many were taken aback by Alfred cursing, he never cursed around them before. Even Prussia was a little shocked. Once Alfred blinked a few times and looked around, he saw he was in a meeting hall with the other nations. But upon gazing at their attire, he knew he was no longer in the present.

"Alfred! We thought you weren't coming! What the hell is the matter with you, you wanker?!"

"what year is it?"

"1861," France replied as he helped America steady his footing. America groaned in frustration.

"Dammit," Alfred looked at the ceiling, "Vlad, I swear on lady liberty when I get back to the present I gonna skin you!" America sighed as he rubbed his temples. Many of the nations were studying America's attire: dark blue jeans, a white cotton shit, red sneakers, and his famous WWII bomber jacket.

"What year are you from, and why are you going to skin me?" Romania asked, hiding behind Norway. America looked and chuckled playfully.

"No worries, I ain't gonna really do it. I figured threatening him, ah, you would get me back faster," America chuckled but began to sweat, "it's hot as hell, mind if I take off my jacket?" America asked Spain. Antonio shook his head and America shrugged off his large bomber jacket. The other nations gawked at Alfred's muscular arms, not knowing what to even think. They also noticed a leather holster on his sides with a weapon they've never seen before. Just then, Russia stood up and walked towards him.

"Fredka, you look very different, da?"

"Yeah, the next hundred years are gonna do this to me. You said it was 1861, right?" Alfred asked the nations, Prussia nodded, "well, right now I'm in the middle of a Civil War. It's me against the Confederacy, most of the southern states. All just so they can keep their slaves, complete bullcrap if you ask me," America shrugged, "but I also go to war with a bunch of others. Most of them I come out on top, the 1960s is when it gets a little messy. If I tell anymore I'll spoil all the fun," Alfred winked cutely, making many of the nations blush. Denmark pointed to America's holster.

"Yo broshinky, what's that?" he asked. America looked and chuckled, undoing the holster and taking out the weapon.

"This baby is a Gen 5 Glock 19. Its practical design and smooth recoil make it the perfect gun for first-time users. It's semi-automatic and its marksmen have polygonal rifling, making it very easy to reload. I also designed them to be ideal for the average citizen to use: its durable, corrosion and scratch resistant and has a grip on its handle for a better hold. In my time, many gun owners have one for basic self defense," America then gestured to three certain spots, "I also designed them with three safety locks. This way if a child just so happens to accidentally get their hands on one, it won't fire. Watch," America pointed at a solid beam and tried to pull the trigger, "see, this model, in particular, requires a certain way of holding. If I hold down this one right here," pointing at the safety on the trigger, "this one is the trigger safety, I have to hold it a certain way before it fires," Alfred gently pushed down the trigger safety and held the Glock properly before firing the bullet. Many of the nations were in awe of this.

"Vow," Prussia muttered as Alfred reholstered the gun.

"A lot of my marine corp uses these,"

"Marine corp?" France asked. Alfred chuckled.

"Right, 1861. I see no harm in bragging a tiny bit," America was sat on the table and shrugged, "my military will develop really fast and consist of five separate branches. The army, the navy, the coast guard, the air force, and the marine corps. The army is often the ones seeing frontline battles, navy for the sea, marines for both land and sea, the coast guards is a rescue squadron that looks for castaways, and the air force covers that big sky up there," pointing to the wide blue sky outside the large windows, "you all think Spain's armada is big? Those measly 130 ships are nothing compared to my navy, which consists of 430 ships give or take a few. My military, in general, is the largest in the world with 1.3 million people combined in all five branches on active duty and around 865,000 on reserve in case we need them," England cocked an eyebrow and was about to talk, but Prussia shoved England and sat next to his bestie.

"Vhat else?! Is zere anyzing awesome?!" Denmark sat on his other side, looking like a begging puppy.

"I'm too old for this, aru," China walked out, most of east Asain following. The only one who stayed was South Korea. Austria and Switzerland also left, taking Liechtenstein with them. The Netherlands couldn't be bothered, so he, Belgium, and Luxemburg left. Once everybody who wanted to leave was gone, the group all sat down. England, France, Spain, Portugal, Prussia, Denmark, a teen Germany, both Italies, South Korea, Turkey, Sweden, Russia, Romania, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and Scotland were there. America smiled at the group and pulled out his iPhone.

"This is an invention from my time, called the cell phone. It basically allows anybody to get in touch with each other. Like, I have England's contact right here," he pressed his messenger app and pulled up texts, "I sent a lot of these from my home in America, while Britain was at his place. This baby basically allowed us to talk to each other without seeing each other. It comes in handy since it's quick and more efficient than sending actual letters," America chuckled. France pointed the camera app.

"What iz zat?" he asked. America looked and chuckled, pressing it.

"This is the camera app, where we can take instant pictures! Unlike photos now, this camera has the image instantly! Watch," America got into the frame with everybody crowding him. He then pressed the button and took the photo, "now watch," America pressed the photo square on the camera and showed it to them.

"Bloody hell, that's extraordinary!"

"Laddie! What else do yee have on that cell phone?" Scotland asked. America hummed and snapped his fingers, pressing the music app.

"This is the music app! I have over 1,000 songs on it! Here, let me play something," Alfred scrolled before upon a random piano melody he downloaded, pressing it. The beautiful music rang from the phone as the nations' eyes turned into moons. America then paused the music and smiled.

"What else can you tell us about the future?" South Korea asked, "the future originated in me da-ze!"

"Well, I can name one thing that shouldn't be too harmful to share," America looked lovingly at Russia, who stared lovingly back, "Russia and I are the first nations to marry for the sake of love, not a unification of nations," Russia flew up and hugged America tightly, kissing his cheeks cutely.

"That makes me happy, my beautiful sunflower!" Russia kissed America's face repeatedly while everyone else laughed. America smiled at the group before snuggling into Russia's side, "hm, I grow quite a lot. My country stretches from east coast to west coast, with two other states off my shores. I have a few small territories as well. In total, I have about 60 kids if I were to count my micronations and capital. Russia, you turn out to be one hell of a dad. All of my kids truly adore you. We also have made a lot of advances in warfare," America sighed and looked at the sunset, "the future, while bright is kinda scary. There's a lot of tension between a few select nations and the technology is so advanced I could blink while turning an entire country into a crater. My Glock doesn't even hold a candle to my automatic weapons,"

"Well, America, you truly have done a lot," Finland smiled, kissing his son's temple. Sweden patted his back in reassurance as Norway and Iceland were conversing on their own.

"I think you still will do great," Turkey shouted optimistically. Romania and South Korea nodded in agreement. Italy then felt America's muscles, making the blonde nation chuckle.

"Ya know, in the future, if you call my name from down a hall I normally flex my arm and you swing like a baby monkey. Wanna try it?" America asked chuckling.

"Ve~ That sounds cool!" America got up and got left the room with the others in tow. Italy got situated by the exit as America stood by the conference door, "ready, Alfredo?!"

"Go on dude! Totally ready!" America smiled and turned around. Italy ran quickly down the hall as the other nations spectated.

"Americaaaaaa~" America flexed his arm and Italy indeed swung like a tiny baby monkey. Everybody laughed, even cranky Lovino and teenage Germany. America smiled as Lovino jumped on his back and everyone was playing with America. After the sunset, most of the nations were eating dinner made by Portugal and America. The two had made gazpacho together and bonded over the cooking. Everybody was eating happily as Alfred looked at them. Portugal then spoke up.

"Only you could do this, America," the other nations quieted down. America cocked an eyebrow so Portugal elaborated, "normally, none of us would do this. I mean, since when did any of us ever sit down together and eat a meal together? America, that's what's so magical about you. You bring people together," America chuckled as he finished his soup. He was washing dishes with his dearest Russia.

"Fredka, you are so amazing. I can't wait for the future so I can spend the rest of my life with you," Russia finished the last dish and dried his hands as Alfred put it on the shelve. America was about to say something when Norway walked up to him.

"America, we can send you back to your time. We just need to know the year you came from," Norway gently dragged America back to the conference room with Russia close behind. Everybody was ready to see him off as the magic trio all prepared. France, Spain, and Portugal hugged him closely. South Korea, Turkey, and teenage Germany all firmly shook his hand. Sweden and Finland kissed his temples while Iceland gave him a nod. Denmark and Prussia hugged him close. America began to whisper into their ears.

"You two listen very close. I shouldn't be telling you this but it's important. In a few years, you two will go to war with one another. Don't let what your bosses say cloud your already knowledgable minds with their lies. The awesome trio sticks together, no matter what. Promise?" America embraced them tighter as Prussia and Denmark nodded their heads in total sync. Russia then took Alfred into his arms and spun him around cutely.

"See you soon, my sunflower!" Russia once again kissed America's temple while America got on his tiptoes to kiss his cheek.

"We're ready, America!" Norway shouted. America looked and saw a strange pentagram drawn on the table surrounded by glittering dust. America went to stand in the middle, "now America, after we utter the spell, you must shout the year from which you came. Understand?"

"Yep!" America took a deep breath as he looked to the group, smiling softly. The magic trio each held up their right hands and chanted some mystical language. The pentagram began to glow and the dust began to form a wind tunnel. America was still visible as he stood in the eyes of the magical tornado.

"Now Alfred!" England shouted as the three struggled to keep their hands up.

"2020!" Alfred shouted loudly, making the portal open above him. Just as quick as America came, he was gone. Most of the nations were shocked, while the magic trio tried to catch their breaths. Once the mess was cleaned up the nations opted for staying at Spain's large mansion. As they got into the house they sat in the living area, silent. It was like this until France uttered the statement they all were thinking.

"Zat's not zat far away,"

"Yea, he must grow really fast. He would only be grazing the 250 mark," Spain uttered.

"A 250-year-old with a powerful military and a good heart. He must take after his parents," England stated cooly.

Meanwhile, Alfred was home, laughing at their selfie.
