Baekhyun felt bad about leaving his mate who was still unconscious at the nurses office, but if he got home late he would be in big trouble.

Hoping to at least get home before dark he rushed home.

He couldn't believe how good he felt.

He had never had so much energy and even if he didn't check himself in the mirror, he could feel that most of his visible scars had disappeared.

His skin was as smooth and as clear as a new  born baby's skin.

It was truly a miracle and a gift his mate had given him.

The same mate whom he had planned to reject because he didn't fit the criteria of an alpha.

Maybe Baekhyun was wrong to push him away. He felt really guilty for hurting his mate who obviously was willing to risk his own life for him.

But on the other hand if the pack knew his mate was a fairy they wouldn't hesitate to kill him.

Especially his father and Daehyun.

He couldn't do that to Chanyeol. He could never put his life at risk.

Even now the handsome fairy lay unconscious because of him.

'He is giving up too much of himself for a useless wolf like me' the little omega said to himself with a frown.

He honestly don't know what to do.

Baekhyun was shocked when he suddenly bumped into a wall and fell down on his butt.

Baekhyun looked up with a frown but it turned to shock when he saw a tall man stood in front of him.

Seeing the mans hand reaching towards him, Baekhyun's first instinct was to crawl back as fast as possible before covering his face as a form of protection.

The little omega couldn't help but shiver in fear when he caught the scent of an alpha.

But strangely the scent was familiar somehow.

The tall alpha frowned when he saw how the little omega acted.

All he wanted to do was help him stand up but instead he scared him.

He couldn't imagine what had happened to fill a person with so much fear.

"Hey. I'm sorry, I was just going to help you up. I don't plan on hurting you," the man finally spoke to break the ice.

Baekhyun slightly lowered his elbows to get a good look to the man without letting his guard down.

"I promise. I'm not planning on hurting you. If I did, I would have done it the first time we met in the forest," he said.

It took a few seconds before it all made sense to Baekhyun.

"Oh, it was you. The alpha who gave me meat," the omega said in shock.

"Yes, that's me. Trust me. I have no intention of hurting you. I just want to talk," he said but Baekhyun still didn't take his hand but he did lower his own hands from his face.

"Say whatever you have to say without coming closer," the omega said.

The alpha realized this is the best scenario he would get and so he followed the instructions.

"My name is Kris. What's your name?" He asked.

"Baekhyun."

"That's a pretty name. It suits you," the alpha said and the omega visibly blushed but didn't respond as he looked away.

"I brought you a gift," Kris said as he passed Baekhyun a small box.

The omega wouldn't hold it but actually moved back even more.

Kris put the box on the ground between them before taking a few steps back to male the omega comfortable.

Baekhyun took the box before slowly opening as if afraid something dangerous will pop up and eat him but was shocked instead.

There was a leather bracelet inside with two wolf charms. One bigger than the other.

Baekhyun admired the gift in awe.

"It's an Alpha and his Omega. It represents the special relationship within the two. How the omega builds the home while the alpha protects the home. It's the alphas duty to protect what is precious to him. His omega. His home," Kris said as he took a few steps forward.

Baekhyun was too focused on the bracelet and only noticed how close the alpha was too late.

Hi back hit a wall which meant he was trapped but instead of feeling a slap he felt a gentle caress against his cheek.

He looked up at the alpha in shock as the other male smiled at him.

"You're so beautiful Baekhyun. Please allow me to be your alpha. I know we aren't mates but i promise i will treat you right and take good care of you. You deserve the best. Allow me to give you that best."
