"I have decided to spare them." Baekhyun's words were followed by a wave of relief as well as shock.

The pack couldn't believe that after all they put him through he would have mercy over them.

They insulted him, beat him and abused him all his life. They isolated him and made him an outcast. They hurt anyone who he helped him. Why would he spare them when they made his life a living hell.

"But... Everyone except my cousin Chen and his family, I do not want to see or be close to anytime soon," Baekhyun added before turning to his mate.

Baekhyun wasn't going to turn into a heartless man like his father or his pack but that didn't mean he forgave them and would just let it all go.

He didn't trust them and didn't want them anywhere near him. They could still hurt him and he wasn't ready for that.

But honestly he had a heart of compassion and wouldn't be able to hurt a fly.

Chanyeol fell deeper in love at the gentle heart of his mate. It wouldn't be fair if they were both heartless. Right.

"You heard my mate. Can these select people come out to the front as he has spared them from my wrath. My mate might be forgiving but I can't say the same for myself." Phoenix had taken control as he glared at the alpha of the pack who was shaking like a leaf.

Chen and his parents rushed out. Chen ran straight into Xiumin's arms where he was embraced and held tightly.

The two almost lost each other a while ago and they needed time to get a hold of reality.

"My name is Xiumin," the witch said before looking at her mate lovingly.

"My name is Chen," the wolf responded with the same look.

His parents passed by thanking Baekhyun and bowing their heads before settling on the safe side.

They were thankful for being spared but felt guilty because as much as they didn't hurt the little omega they didn't save him either.

Phoenix still had his eyes set on alpha Byun.

He remembered everything that had happened like it was yesterday.

He was only 13 at the time and the tragedy had devastated him. It was worse for Phoenix. Because the pain Chanyeol felt was 10 times worse for the dragon since they feel things way more than humans.

The father when he was still yet to shift and meet died before his very eyes before he could embrace him.

As much as dragons were brutal and violent creatures, they were very possessive and affectionate towards their families and mates.

Chanyeol had spent time with his human father but Phoenix was robbed of that privilege when they took away his dragon father.

Overwhelmed by grief and anger Phoenix was forced to shift too early in life before brutally murdering his father's right-hand man.

He then rushed to the dying dragon that lay helplessly on its side with a long dagger plunged into his heart.

He was still breathing but he didn't have much time left.

Phoenix tried to share his life source with his father even if it made him weaker. He had to save him and when his body couldn't take it he went unconscious.

When he woke up from a 6 month coma, he found out his father never made it and even with his efforts he was still died.

The dagger was dipped in a very rare and fatal poison to dragons which could never be reversed.

It had taken 100 years to create and was not easily obtained. A dragon could not go near it and this is why his evil right-hand man needed Alpha Byun to acquire and throw the final blow that killed the King Dragon. Leaving Chanyeol and his dragon distressed and empty.

"The only reason you're still alive is because of the words of my mate and the fact that you are his father, but that isn't going to save you from my wrath. You are guilty for the death of the late King Park, my father. I don't care how or why you did it but you will receive the punishment. I could just kill you but for that but the crimes you added on by abusing my mate for years shows that death would be too easy and simple" Phoenix said as he turned back to look at Baek.

"How old are you sweatheart?" he asked with a warm smile.

The little omega blushed at the pet name before telling he turned 18 on that day. Phoenix then turned back to alpha Byun and the rest of the pack with a glare.

"Then you will endure your punishment for the same number of years my mate endured his. After that then I will give you the death you will be begging for from day 1. The rest of the pack except everyone younger than Baekhyun will suffer along their alpha and only after 18 will you be set free," Phoenix said before letting out his dragon wings and carrying his little omega in his arms.

"Let's go home," Chanyeol said as he was given back control and soon the pair and their friends and families headed home.

"I have waited a long time for this day," Uncle Park said as he gave Alpha Byun a devious smirk which only made the alpha wish he was dead.
