NEW HOUSE GUESTS

*buzzzzz*

"What is it?" I demanded snappily into the intercom.

"T-There are s-some business men here Miss.... From the Jingo Jang Toys company....." The guard said carefully.

"Shit..." I grumbled under my breath. "Let them in." I demanded coolly.

"R-Right... Are you alr-"

"I'm fine." I cut him off before turning off the intercom. I looked at Kisame and Hidan. "I don't care where you go, but stay out of the living room" I told them with a tired sigh.

"Can we change the others back?" Kisame asked.

"What?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. He motioned to the cats.

"Water will turn them back." He said simply. I sighed as I heard a car coming up my driveway.

"Yeah, go. Then go to the second floor, into the room at the end of the hall. Get some guy clothes from the closet to dress yourself and leave Konan for me to change. Now hurry." I said, shooing him away.

"Right." He nodded, grinning at me. I felt my cheeks burn a bit, but luckily he didn't see because he was already leaving, scooping up kittens on his way.

"Yeah fucking right!" Hidan yelled. I shot him in the arm. "Fine dammit!" He yelled, holding his arm.

*knock knock knock*

I waited until they were gone to open the front door.

"Miss Jentz. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but was that a gun shot we heard?" Asked an older man as he shook my hand, a curious looking man younger than the him at the old mans side.

"You are correct sir." I said politely and calmly. "I simply saw a tarantula." I lied easily. "Please come in."

"You shoot at spiders?" The younger man asked, giving me a look.

"I thought it was something else." I replied as we made our way to the living room. "It was actually my pet."

"Is that blood?!" The old man yelled in shock as we passed my red stained kitchen.

"No sir." I said coolly. "I was simply working on a new cherry jam recipe I found, but I accidentally spilled it."

"But it smells like iron..." The younger said suspiciously as we all sat down in the living room.

"Which is why I've decided the recipe is a dud." I said simply. "Perhaps it would make better fake blood for Halloween. Now I believe we have some business to attend to."

>Kisame POV<

I changed everyone but Konan back and everyone got dressed. I ended up in loose black jeans that wear a little too short for me and a dark blue spandex muscle shirt because all the other shirts didn't fit me.

We snuck to the stairs and spied on what was going on in the living room.

"... And understand that any and all money you donate to the company will be put to good use Miss Jenkins." Said an elderly man as he and a younger man sat on one end of the couch. Nina was seated on the other end, one leg over the other as she leaned her chin on her hand, which was perched on the armrest by her elbow. Her face was bored, yet calculating, as she stared blankly at the two.

"I see..." She mumbled. "And how much are you wanting exactly?"

"We were hoping for around twenty million." The younger man said. My jaw dropped as Nina rose an eyebrow. "From what we've heard that would only make a dent in your wealth."

She hummed uninterestedly.

"Even so that is a lot of money." She said. "My parents would not appreciate it if I invested so much in a company that eventually went bankrupt. You understand. So I'll need exactly three valid reasons why this would be a smart move for me."

"Please Miss Jenkins!" The elderly man said suddenly, leaning forward. "The company just needs a little pick-me-up! If you give us this, then you won't regret it!"

"Mr. Fisher. I don't believe that was three valid reasons." Nina sighed, not budging in the slightest.

"Please Miss." Said the younger man. "I'm begging you. Things will only be slow for a little while longer. Yet I haven't been able to feed my family in weeks. You see, I'm a single father of five, three boys and two girls. Please, we just need a little funding to hold the company and pay the workers until Christmas, when people will start present shopping." The man pleaded, his eyes watering. He buried his face in his hands, shaking his head.

I had expected Nina to give in and sign the documents in front of her as she reached forward and grabbed a pen.

"I commend you, Mister Kirsten, but you do not have children." She said, tightening her grip on the pen and snapping it in half. The man looked up, fake tears gone as he stared at her in shock.

"H-How...?"

"John Kirsten. 39 year old bachelor. You live alone in an apartment on Doe lane. You have a steady income of thirteen thousand dollars a month working as the owner of a medium sized convenience store, decent wager considering you live by yourself." She listed off, dropping the pieces of plastic on her coffee table. "And Mr. Fisher, or more precisely Luke Swanson, 65 year old man. Your wife, Betty, died last year and you are currently retired. You live in a small house by the beach and are living a decent lifestyle." She added, making the old man's eyes grow incredibly wide. "Once again, I commend you. You did an excellent job with the fake website for the company you made up just a week ago. If you were trying to con anyone else, you would have gotten away with it. But I am not the ignorant child you think I am. Now I must ask you to leave." She said coolly.

"Like hell!" The younger man yelled, jumping up and holding a slightly bigger version of what ever Nina had shot Hidan with earlier. He pointed it directly at her heart and even though I wasn't completely sure what the contraption was, I knew it would kill her.

>Nina POV<

I gave the gun a bored glance before looking at John. He wore a slightly crazed smile.

"What's going to happen is you are going to give us that money, little girl, then you are going to let us go and keep quiet about this little exchange." He said, his hand shaking.

"I don't think so." I said, standing.

"Sit down!" He yelled.

"No." I replied coldly. "And I say that because you aren't going to shoot me, John. You have never done a true crime before, not once. You never shoplifted, never got in a fight. You won't shoot me because you know your dear parents, who died before your eyes eighteen years ago by a robber shooting them, would be so disappointed in you." His eyes got wide as his trembling worsened.

"How... H-How do you know that?" He muttered. I smirked coldly.

"I know everything about you, John. You see, once you and Luke set me that email, I dug up every bit of information I could on you. I know everything, from the football injury that sent you to the hospital on your seventeenth birthday, to the purchase on that exact gun you made seventeen days ago. But it's not just you, I also know all about Luke here as well. I even know that his wife did not die of old age or by accident..." I gave a sly look to the elderly man, who was trembling and red faced with rage. "He murdered her. All it took was a little bit of ammonia in her iced tea, isn't that right Mister Kirsten? And because of her age, no one questioned it and it all went smoothly. Except for one thing, you made contact with me and I discovered the perch aces you made the night before, as well as looked up ever passage I could that focused on your poor wife's Death."

"That's enough!" Luke shouted, getting up and ripping the gun from John's froze hands. He pointed it at my head. "This ninny might not be able to kill you, but I'll blow your fucking brains out. Right now."

I held my arrogant look.

"Very well." I said smoothly. "Go right ahead. After all, my guards saw you come in, people saw you at my drive way, plenty of people know you were here. When they discover my body, they'll notice that two deaths happened around your presence. They'll dig up your wife's body, and get a closer look. Then they'll make the connection, Luke, and you'll be sent to jail."

"Yet you'll still be dead." He smirked. I waited calmly.

"And you'll be on Death row." I said coldly.

A bluish blur suddenly appeared and my eyes widened as I saw Kisame holding onto the barrel of the gun in the old man's grasp, his expression stony.

"She said to leave," he growled lowly, bending the barrel upwards. The men looked at him in surprise and slightly fear. "So beat it before I kick your asses."

Even in his younger form, he was a good head taller than both of them.

"I-Im outta here!" John yelled, running out the door. The old man, weaponless and weak, scrambled out after him. Kisame dropped the ruined gun on the floor before looking at me with... A weird face.

"What's with your face?" I asked, confused as I tilted my head.

"What?" He asked.

"I mean, I'm not used to this expression you're making." I corrected, realizing my first question sounded rude. I walked up to him and put my hand on his cheeks, turning his head from side to side as I studied him. "Sam, Alex, and Jody make this expression sometimes too. What the hell is it?" I demanded. His eyebrows furrowed as I studied the expression, my own eyes narrowed and tongue poking from my lips in concentration.

"What you're referring to is called concern." Said a new voice. I turned my head, still holding Kisame's face, to see the other guys from the Akatsuki.

"That's absurd." I scowled. I looked back at Kisame, who was watching me carefully. "Why the hell would he be concerned for me?"

Kisame blinked and his face started turning purple.

"What's happening to him now?" I asked, tilting my head with a confused face. His face turned even more purple.

"Ha! Fish face is fucking blushing!" Hidan laughed. I tilted my head even more.

"Blushing?" I repeated. "Why?"

"I think I'm going to die..." Kisame murmured, somehow turning even more purple.

"Do you need CPR?" I asked, completely serious.

"N-No!" He said quickly, eyes wide and face plum colored.

"Okay then." I said, patting his head. Sadly, I had to stand on my tip toes to do so. Then I turned to my new house guests. "Now, you can stay with me until you figure out how to get back to your world, but first, we have rules to discuss."
