With the beginning of the Internships, the newly formed Akatsuki train under Alucard, D and Seras. As Deidara spars with Sasori, he glances to see Itachi sparring with Hidan and Kakuzu. Itachi takes them down.

Kakuzu: Not bad for a kid.

Hidan: You're lucky I'm not allowed to kill you! Otherwise I'd show you the way of Jashin!

Itachi scoffed Hidan's threat. Deidara felt intense rage and hatred building up about Itachi. He decided to walk up to him and speak with him.

Deidara: You trying to show off?!

Itachi: What is your problem Deidara?

Deidara: You know my problem Aizawa! Just because we're team mates doesn't mean we're equals!

Itachi attempts to walk away, but this only infuriates Deidara even further.

Deidara: Don't walk away from me Aizawa! I'm not done with you!

Deidara grabbed Itachi and saw Itachi's Sharingan still activated. Seeing those eyes reminded him of his devastating defeat at Itachi's hands at the Sports Festival. All that anger and resentment began to pour out. But before a fight could erupt, Nagato stepped in.

Nagato: Enough!

Deidara: Stay out of this!

Nagato: You two will fight me. 

Hearing that caught the attention of the Akatsuki. Deidara and Itachi glanced at each other.

Nagato: You two will work together to try to take me down. 

Deidara: Aizawa will just get in the way! All I need to take you down is my art!

Deidara then crafts two Clay Birds and throws them at Nagato, but he uses the Deva Path of his Rinnegan Quirk to repel the birds away. 

Itachi: Deidara! Keep him focused while I flank him!

Deidara: You're not the boss of me! 

Itachi attempts to flank Nagato, but Nagato kicks Itachi away and then launches his hand using the Asura Path to grab Itachi and hold him by the throat. 

Nagato: That won't work on me Itachi. 

Deidara: Feel my art!

Deidara then launches several Clay Birds and unleashes a powerful explosion. As the Akatsuki look in awe, Deidara laughs.

Deidara: ART IS AN EXPLOSION! HA!

But suddenly, Itachi is thrown at Deidara. Deidara and Itachi slowly get up as Nagato walks away from the smoke without a scratch. Deidara is shocked to see that.

Deidara: What the hell was that?!

Nagato: With both of your Quirks combined, you could've taken me down. But instead of working together, you let your personal grudges get in the way. That is why you both failed.

Deidara: I could've soloed you if Aizawa didn't get in the way! 

Itachi: Enough Deidara! Despite our differences, we both want to be heroes! 

Itachi extends his hand to Deidara in an attempt to make peace. Deidara scoffs and slaps Itachi's hand away from him and walks away. Alucard watches this and is interested.

Alucard: Such an interesting little group! 

Kisame then walks to Itachi and speak with him about what happened.

Kisame: That about went as well as I expected! 

Itachi simply said nothing as he thought about the fight with Nagato. D soon walks up to Itachi.

D: I have need of you for a task.

Itachi: What is it D?

D: Follow me. It is a private matter.

Itachi soon walks with D to an isolated room.

Itachi: Now what do you need?

D: I believe I found a trail regarding Wrath.

Hearing that caught Itachi's immediate attention.

Itachi: What kind of trail?

D: There's a vampire called Victor that hangs around Hosu City. Sir Integra believes that he may know something about Wrath's whereabouts.

Itachi: Wouldn't Alucard or Nagato be the ones to investigate?

D: Alucard is tracking another lead somewhere else. As for Nagato, he'll be training with the other Akatsuki members.

Itachi: When do we go?

D: At nightfall.

After hearing that, he goes to the living room and watches TV to pass the time. He soon sees a commercial for a hairspray featuring The Pro Hero Uwabami. While watching it, he sees Yaoyorozu. He is stunned speechless as seeing his girlfriend wearing her hero costume. Deidara walks in and sees Yaoyorozu in the commercial.

Deidara: Isn't that your girlfriend?

But as he asked that, he saw Kendo in that same commercial. She was wearing her hero costume as well. Seeing his classmate like that caught Deidara completely off guard. 

Deidara: What....what hell kinda internship did they take?

Itachi: I.....I don't....know....

Kisame soon entered the room and saw Yaoyorozu and Kendo. This immediately caught Kisame's attention.

Kisame: Isn't that Momo? And who's that other girl? Say Deidara, isn't she in your class?

Deidara: Shut up. 

Kisame: What was her name? Kendo? 

Deidara: I SAID SHUT UP! 

Kisame simply let out a small laugh as the commercial ended. Deidara walked out without saying a word. Itachi simply turned off the TV to reflect on seeing his girlfriend on a commercial for beauty products. After hours of waiting, D went to Itachi.

D: It's time Itachi.

Itachi readied himself for whatever D's mission would bring. He would find Victor and attempt to make him talk about the current whereabouts of Wrath.
