A girl was screaming.

Girl: Ahhhh

A boy pushed her and she felt on her stomach. Her head hit the corner of table and it started bleeding.

Sm1: Sid...Siddharth

Sm1 shaked him. Tears were rolling down his eyes.

Sm1: Firse wahi soch rhe ho?

He didn't speak anything. Sm1 gave him water.

Sid: Avu mein kya kroo?

Sm1 is Avu.

Avu: Sid shant ho jaoo. Tum aese toot jaoge to humara kya hoga?

She wiped off his tears.

Avu: Chlo jldi se breakfast krlo jldi se

Avu made a bite and forwarded it towards him. He shooked his head.

Avu: Sid khana khalo

Sid: Mera man nhi hai

Avu: Sid thora sa to kha lo. Dekho aadha khalo. Zyada nhi boloongi

Sid: Nhi khana mujhe

Avu: Dekho ek roti khalo bass. Bacho jaise zidd nhi krte. Bimaar ho jaooge

Sid: Avu...

She put the bite in his mouth. She made him eat a little. She gave him tiffin. He took it.

Sid: Achha ab nikalta hu

Avu nodded. She prepared another plate and went inside a room. A girl was sitting beside window looking outside. There were no emotions on her face. Her eyes were swollen and there were dark circles under her eyes. There were scars all over her body.

Avu went and sat beside her. She caressed her face and kissed her forhead.

Avu: Didu

Vaish looked at her again turned her face towards window.

Avu: Di breakfast

She slowly fed her. She ate quitely without any reaction. Avu brought medicines after her breakfast.

Avu: Di medicines?

Vaish: Baby ke lie?

Avu controlled her tears and slowly nodded her head. She quickly took the medicine. Avu applied cream on her scars. She was about to go out bit Vaish held her wrist.

Vaish: Avu

Avu: Hnji di aapko kuch chahie?

Vaish: Mein ghar wapis kab jaaungi? Ab mera baby aane wala hai thode time mein, to uske papa ko hona chahie na uske paas. Sid ko poocho na kab chhodke aayega. Mujhse to wo baat hi nhi krta

Avu hugged her. Tears were rolling down Avu's eyes. She caressed her hair. She wiped off her tears.

Avu: Mujhe nhi pta di. Jab Sid ko theek lgega

Vaish became sad and looked down. Avu went out and broke down.

With Sid

He was at work but his mind was somewhere else. He was trying to concentrate on his work but again and again his thoughts were revolving around something else.

He completed his work asap and walked to some place. It was police station. He went inside. He went to an officer.

Sid: Namaste sahab

Off: Tu fir aa gia. Tereko bola hai roz roz nhi aane ka idar

Sid: Dekhie sahab mujhe bass meri behn ke lie insaaf chahie aur kuch nhi

Off: Hnn dekhte hai. Ab nikal

Sid: Aese kaise dekhenge? Aap complaint to likhte nhi. Pichle 3 mahine se roz chakkar maar rha hu. Ek baar meri behn ki haalat to dekh lijie

Off: Tu hume sikhayega kya krna hai ab?

Sid: Dekhie mera matlab wo nhi tha

Off: To?

Sid: Ek baar meri baat to sun lijie

Off:(shouted) Uthake bahar pheko isko, roz chla aata hai

He ordered officers on lower post.

Two officers came forward and dragged Sid. He kept begging to listen to him once but they didn't pay any heed to his pleadings.

Off: Insaaf chahie inko. Huh!!!

Officers threw him outside. He felt down on ground and got his elbow and knee injured. But the pain was nothing in front of pain in his heart. One more day passed and no one listened to him. He got up. He didn't know how to even go home. He was too shameful of himself and to show his face to his wife and sister.
