Dom's hands are clenched into fists as he stalks through the hallways of Cipher's hideout, his jaw tight, his expression a storm of fury and guilt. New York had been a close call, too close. Letty had almost slipped away with the nuclear football. Almost. If it weren't for Rhodes stepping in at the last second, she would've gotten away, and Cipher would've been furious.
As Dom approaches the room, he notices movement on the other side of the glass. Dom's heart sinks when he sees Cipher and Rhodes inside.
Rhodes moves swiftly, grabbing Elena by the arm and tying her wrists behind her back with brutal efficiency. She struggles, her eyes wide with fear, but Rhodes only tightens the knots, shoving her into the chair near the crib. Cipher, meanwhile, crouches beside the bed where Alexandra lies unconscious. She presses two fingers to Alexandra's neck, checking her pulse. Satisfied, she stands and looks toward the glass wall, where Dom now stands, his expression frozen in horror.
"Well, there he is," Cipher says with a smile, cradling the baby in her arms as she turns to face Dom. "Daddy's home."
"Put him down," Dom steps closer to the glass, his voice low and dangerous.
"You really don't get it, do you, Dom? You're here because of choices. My choices. Your choices. And now, their consequences," Cipher chuckles, rocking the baby gently as he starts to stir.
Dom's gaze shifts to Elena, who struggles against her restraints, and then to Alexandra, still unmoving on the bed. Dom chest tightens, rage bubbling beneath the surface.
"What are you doing, Cipher?" Dom asks.
"What I've always done," Cipher replies smoothly. "Showing you the stakes. You went soft out there today, Dom. Letty almost got away with the codes. I can't have you forgetting what's at risk."
"Let them go," Dom growls, his fists slamming against the glass. "This is between you and me."
"Oh, it is about you," Cipher says, her voice dropping into a chilling whisper. "But they're the leverage."
Rhodes raises his gun, pointing it directly at Elena's head. Elena stiffens, her breath catching as the cold barrel presses against her temple.
"No!" Dom shouts, his voice booming as he slams his fists against the glass again. "Don't do this!" Cipher tilts her head, a mocking pout on her lips.
"What's the matter, Dom? You thought you could have it all? A family, a life free of consequences? That's not how the world works." Cipher says as she glances at Rhodes and gives a small nod.
Elena struggles against her restraints, screaming into the duct tape Rhodes wrapped around her mouth. Elena's muffled cries are heart-wrenching, and Dom's fury boils over.
"Cipher, don't!" Dom roars, his voice cracking. "You don't have to do this! Please!"
"You've made your choice, Dom. Now I'm making mine," Cipher says as she meets his eyes, her expression devoid of emotion.
Rhodes pulls the trigger twice. The deafening sound of the gunshots echoes through the room.
"No!" Dom's scream of anguish shakes the glass wall. The baby starts wailing, his cries piercing the heavy silence that follows.
"Shh, shh... it's okay, little one. Mommy's just... not here anymore," Cipher hums softly, rocking him in her arms.
On the bed, Alexandra stirs, her eyelids fluttering open as the sound jolts her awake. Alexandra gasps at the sight of Elena's lifeless body slumped in the chair, the blood pooling beneath her.
"Alex," Cipher says sweetly, turning toward her. "You're awake just in time."
Cipher hands the baby to Alexandra, who instinctively takes him, her trembling arms cradling him protectively.
"You... you monster," Alexandra chokes out, her voice thick with emotion.
"Take good care of him. You'll need each other," Cipher only smirks, leaning close to Alexandra's ear.
Without another word, Cipher turns on her heel, signaling Rhodes. He drags Elena's lifeless body out of the room, the blood trail staining the floor as Cipher walks out beside him.
Dom stares through the glass, frozen in place, his fists pressed against it as tears stream down his face. Inside the room, Alexandra clutches the crying baby tightly, her own tears falling as she whispers, "I've got you. I've got you."
Cipher disappears into the shadows, leaving Dom alone with his grief.
Cipher glares at the monitors, watching the chaos unfold as Dom's team begins to dismantle her plans piece by piece.
"Bring her," Cipher orders coldly, her eyes not leaving the screen.
One of her guards nods, leaving the room. Moments later, the door opens, and Alexandra is shoved inside, her hands bound.
"Why am I not surprised?" Alexandra snaps, glaring at Cipher despite the restraints and pain in her neck.
"You'll be more useful here than as a bargaining chip in the back," Cipher says as she smirks, dismissing her with a wave.
Meanwhile, on the lower deck of the plane, Deckard and Owen move silently through the shadows. They communicate in quick gestures before splitting up with Owen heading towards the cockpit while Deckard makes his way to the baby's location.
Rhodes' smug grin fades when Dom gets out of the car, his face a mask of barely contained fury. Dom moves with lightning speed, disarming Rhodes and delivering a devastating punch. The fight is brutal, raw, and over quickly. Dom snaps Rhodes' neck with a final punch.
In the main control room, Cipher's fingers fly across the keyboard, initiating a data wipe of her entire system. The blaring alarms and flashing lights don't faze her. She's calm and focused until the door bursts open before Deckard steps in, holding a gun. Behind him, in one hand, he carries Dom's baby in a car seat. Cipher's smile falters as her guard drops, realizing Deckard's presence.
"Well, well, well," Cipher says, recovering her composure. "The prodigal son returns. How quaint."
"Let her go," Deckard demands, nodding toward Alexandra. Cipher pulls Alexandra closer, pressing a gun to her temple.
"Not a chance. You're out of bullets, Deckard. What are you planning to do?" Cipher responds.
"Not like I need a gun to deal with you," Deckard replies as he smirks, tossing his gun onto a nearby control panel.
"And how exactly did you find me?" Cipher asks as she arches an eyebrow. In response, Deckard reaches into his jacket and pulls out Dom's necklace, letting it dangle for a moment. Cipher's eyes narrow. "Resourceful."
"You've got a lot to answer for," Deckard growls, his voice dangerous as he starts circling the control panel. "What you've put my family through. My mum. My brother. I'm here to make sure it ends with you."
Cipher watches him closely, her mind working rapidly for an escape.
"There's only one flaw in your plan," Cipher says, her grip tightening on Alexandra.
"What's that?" Deckard asks, his tone deceptively calm.
"Only one of us has a parachute!" Cipher shouts, grabbing a parachute bag from beneath the console and slamming a button on the control panel.
The emergency door behind her hisses open, and the deafening roar of wind fills the room. The sudden pressure shift sends loose papers and equipment flying. Cipher lunges for the door as the car seat starts sliding toward the open hatch.
"No!" Deckard roars, vaulting over the control panel.
Deckard lands hard, sliding across the floor, and catches the car seat just as it teeters on the edge. Alexandra, despite her restraints, slams her head backward into Cipher's face. The impact sends Cipher stumbling, and before she can recover, the suction of the open door pulls her out into the sky. Deckard grits his teeth, bracing himself as he shields the car seat with his body. The baby coos softly, unaware of the chaos around him.
"Close the damn door!" Deckard shouts.
Alexandra, still winded, manages to slam her palm onto the button, and the door hisses shut. As the room returns to a tense silence, Deckard exhales heavily, slamming a fist against the closed door in frustration. Cipher had gotten away. Deckard looks down at the baby, who stares up at him with wide eyes before cooing again. Deckard smirks despite himself.
"Told you this would be fun," Deckard says with a wink, earning another delighted gurgle from the baby. "We're clear, Owen." Alexandra looks up at him, her face pale but resolute.
"Thank you," Alexandra says softly, her voice filled with emotion. Deckard nods, his expression softening for a moment before hardening again.
Together, they prepare to reunite with the team in New York.
