It was a stormy night but for y/n the storm was the least of his worries as he stared at his evidence board with newspaper clippings of his mother's murder and his father's trial as “I'm not going to drop this case,I know that you didn't do it and I'm going to do it” he said as he remembered the night when he walked in on his mother being surrounded by a ring of flashing red and yellow lightning before be held back by his father who told him to run before he was suddenly outside the house.

As he continued to look at the board he heard someone clearing their throat as he turned around and saw his adopted sister Iris West standing by the door with a smirk “H-Hey Iris how long have you been standing there” Y/n said as he quickly covered up his board as he chuckled nervously. “Oh not much, just about five minutes,you know that brooding isn't your strong suit” she said with a giggle as y/n got flustered before noticing another woman behind Iris as she looked around his lab with curiosity.

“Iris mind telling me who you brought along with you” he said and before Iris could answer the woman had already beaten her to the punch “Lois Lane,future star reporter for the Daily Planet!” The energetic intern said as Iris gave her a deadpan look before reeling her back “sorry about that y/n she always likes this when she thinks there's a chance to move up from being an intern”. “It's fine Iris but can I ask why you two are here?” Y/n asked as he noticed Lois peeking under the cover to look at the crime board.

“Perry sent me here to interview Captain Singh about the Police Officers' Charity Gala and Lois tagged along with me so she can find a bigger scoop…again” Iris said as her and Y/n watched Lois remove the cover revealing the evidence board.

“Woah this is a lot of evidence you're collecting,can you tell me about it” she said as she got close to y/n which caused him to blush before stuttering out a response. “I-I can't this case is…personal to me and I don't want anyone else to know about it”.

Iris looked at the board and realized why he wanted to kept it a secret * poor y/n,you're still holding on to the innocence of your dad* she thought as she looked over at Barry with a knowing look before deciding to cut the visit short and grabs Lois by her arm and drags her out to the door with her struggling “Alright Lois I think it's time we head back to the Planet before this storm gets worse”

“Wait let me just do something first before we go” Lois said as she grabbed his phone before putting in her number in his contacts. “There now you can contact me if you want to talk about your secret case” she said before she was finally dragged out by Iris as Y/N was finally alone again.

“Well that was certainly…something” he told himself as he covered up the board again and looked outside to see that the storm started to get worse as he jumped slightly at the loud crack of thunder before deciding to finally pack up and quickly head back to his apartment. As he was putting his stuff away he noticed the sky quickly flashed yellow with lightning before getting up to close the storm shutters.

While he was closing the storm shutters he noticed that the chemicals he had in his containment shelving started to float out of the beakers and looks up at the window and seeing flashes of light before the window broke all of a sudden as he was soon struck by lightning and launched into the containment shelving and being dosed in the chemicals before losing consciousness as his body started to have an electric pulse.
