"I wish I was never born."

You felt Shakky stiffen in regret, you had never once voiced your guilt or regret to anyone, not even tried to think of it but you could no longer help it. Everything was compiling on top of you.

"Honey you need to calm down, your emotions are starting to affect everything even outside." Shakky's voice was starting to feel far away, and you couldn't think straight.

"Hey Y/N. What's wrong?" You felt yourself being lifted into the air and squeezed into a chest that smelled amazing. "Why are you feeling all these feelings? I am confused, I can't figure them out."

Your power was being drained from you, helping you to calm down, and relax.

"L-Luffy?"

"Yeah it's me. What's going on? Are you okay? Do you need food? Meat?"

You felt even more of your power being drained away from you. But at this point you didn't care, all you cared about was that you were feeling numb, sleepy and that is all that matter.

"I don't want to be here."

"Okay, where do you want to go, we'll fly there."

"I want to see my mom." You felt the tears coming down your face.

"Okay where is she?"

"Heaven most likely."

With that you fell asleep.

~Shakky POV~

This wasn't good, none of what was happening was good. You were trying to break the blockers she had put on you. She didn't know if you were doing it purposefully or if your powers were just exceeding what she could hide.

Even worse the incubus was marking her more deeply than any of them thought. That only meant one thing...fated mates.

"FUCK!" She screamed, her own powers were out of control with her anger flaring.

"High Witch!"

The fucking ogre this is all his fucking fault. She wanted to kill him, she wanted to hurt him, destroy him by killing those he was guardian to. But knew she couldn't.

"High Witch please."

"What are you doing here?"

"Pops! Something is wrong with Y/N. She said she wants to go see her mom, but she says she's in Heaven. Where is that?"

Shakky saw the ogre's eyes soften to her niece. Shakky wanted to tear her hair out, everything was going so very wrong. If only River had sealed Y/N's powers none of this would be happening.

"It isn't Y/N's fault that you are jealous of her powers! It is not her fault that one day she will replace you as High Witch, none of this is her fault! She is the result of a fated mate bond."

That wasn't it, she couldn't be getting more powerful than her already.

"Shakky." Rayliegh, she both loved and hated him at the same time. He was the only one besides River who could stop her from spiraling, and sometimes she wanted to, she wanted to let go and fuck the consequences. "Shakky. I'm sorry."

She didn't understand what he meant until he slapped an iron bracelet on her wrist. She looked at him in shock and betrayal, iron sealed a witch's power, hot angry tears streamed down her face, she launched at him, scratching his face, and yelling calling him all kinds of foul names.

By the time she calmed down, her mate was bleeding and bruised, and it brought her relief.

"High Witch...you have been demoted..."

She heard the Ogre state her anger coming back in full force.

"I have not."

"A witch of life is always the head of Covens, I am guessing that you haven't told your niece that or your mate."

She looked to Ray, who was also sporting an angry look of his own.

"She didn't. I am assuming you have already started the transition of power, since an Ogre is needed for that."

Shakky couldn't breath, she couldn't be losing her position as High Witch...she just couldn't. Her Coven was scattered around the world, her power slowly depleting due to sealing Y/N's power, but what choice did she have?

"You can't do this to me..."

"You are not even thinking about Y/N's well-being anymore. All you seem to care about is that she is slowly becoming more powerful than you and that scares and angers you. And if what I suspect is correct...than that young Incubus is her fated mate. Meaning she will be stronger than you no matter what you try to do."

Shakky wanted scream, her fated mate had been a mere human, his weakness disgusted her. When she met Rayliegh his fated mate, a water nymph had been killed and she helped him with the loneliness that created.

"No this cannot happen! I am the High Witch!"

"No longer Shakky, I will not let you continue to treat Y/N how you've been treating her due to your jealousy. This iron will remain on your wrist unless it is an emergency."

Rayliegh and the damn Ogre all left the greenhouse. When Shakky looked around the incubus and Y/N were also gone, where were they?

"Y-Y/N?" You wouldn't want to be High Witch, she just had to convince you to take the band off her wrist.

She ran up to your room, only to see you asleep with the incubus wrapped around you. He was running his fingers through your hair, and looking at your face.

"I don't like you sad Y/N. We'll eat lots and lots of meat when you wake up, and maybe go back to the amusement park? Won't that be fun. You need a break."

Shakky wanted to tell the boy to leave, and forgetting what was on her wrist, attempted to manipulate his mind, the iron started to burn she nearly screamed, and her anger came back.

"Leave them alone Shakky, just because you didn't want your fated mate doesn't mean you can try and take Y/N's away from her. That is where I draw the line."

Shakky was horrified no one knew about her fated mate, not even River had known.

"This is dangerous for us Ray and you know it."

He shrugged actually shrugged with only infuriated Shakky even more.

"Maybe, but maybe not. If that Ogre had been like his kin he would've already turned us in. But he hasn't. If anything he seems to want to protect Y/N since she's also benefitting his son. I love you Shakky but I will no longer stand by and watch you put Y/N down and stop her from living her life."

"I have every right as the High Witch to put my coven in their places when they go out of line." She hissed.

"She's your superior now Shakky."

"Fucking danmit! This is all Y/N's fault! River's too!"

Their was a low growl and then Shakky felt her energy being drained from her, turning she saw the incubus striding up to her, his full demon form on full display, and with her powers sealed she was severely and totally fucked.

Was this what they call a power shift?
