Hybrid All-14 [Breakfast]

I think it would be adorable for them to all be hybrids... so here we are. This doesn't really have any plot, but I enjoyed writing it. Sang is a bunny hybrid, Owen is a wolf hybrid, Sean is a koala hybrid, Axel is an otter hybrid, Raven is a bear hybrid, Luke is a monkey hybrid, North is a panther hybrid, Gabe is a peacock hybrid, Marc is a labrador retriever hybrid, Victor is a falcon hybrid, Nathan is a lion hybrid, Kota is an owl hybrid, Silas is a turtle hybrid, Brandon and Corey are squirrel hybrids. Please tell me if you agree/disagree with my choices :) ON TO THE FLUFF!!!

Sang woke up in a pile of limbs, as was becoming increasingly common. She held in a sneeze as a fuzzy grey ear tickled her nose--Dr. Sean. On her other side, Sang felt the brush of feathers. Hmm. She couldn't quite remember who it was, but feathers narrowed it down. Either Meanie, Vic, or Kota. When Sang tried to turn to see which it was, she found herself unable to move. Dr. Sean was clinging to her too tightly.

Her attempt at movement didn't affect the sleeping koala hybrid in the least. The feathered boy on Sang's other side must have been awake, however, because he began to trace circles on her hip, and Sang could feel a warm breath in her hair. "Good morning, Princess."

Victor, then. "Good morning to you, too, my Prince. Could you rescue me from the clutches of the dragon?" Sang breathed quietly, not wanting to wake the doctor. He needed all the sleep he could get.

"Your wish is my command, my lady." Victor carefully tugged the small bunny hybrid from Sean's grip and put a pillow in her place. Scooping her up in a bridal carry, Victor peppered kisses over her face as he walked them down the stairs to the kitchen.

Sang was all giggles and smiles and sweetness. She loved being able to wake up with her boys in the morning, in the house they all shared. It was wonderfully domestic. Sang had always wanted a family, and theirs was the greatest.

North looked up from the bacon he was frying, to take in the adorable sight of a red-faced, giggly, sleepy bunny. "How did you sleep, Baby?"

Victor stopped his assault of kisses to allow her to answer. She patted his shoulder as a way of asking to be put down. When Victor obliged, she skipped over to her North Star and was engulfed in a panther hug as she told him enthusiastically about a cool dream she'd had.

"---and then the unicorn turned out to be Luke, which made sense because of how much candy he ate, but just when he was about to share with me, I woke up," Sang finished.

"I like your dream, little bean."

"Marc!" Sang squealed. Jumping into the arms of her puppy hybrid excitedly, she asked, "When did you get back?"

"Just now," Marc responded. "I was just going to say hi and grab some breakfast before I crash."

North grabbed a plate from the cupboard and filled it with eggs, toast, and bacon. "Here."

Marc put Sang down to gratefully inhale the food. His last mission had taken 36 hours and he'd barely slept or ate. Sang scratched his ears as he finished his food. She'd missed Marc a lot and she felt horrible that he'd gone so long without food and rest.

"Oy, why didn't you invite me to the breakfast party!" Meanie strode into the (thankfully large) kitchen, clad in an orange jacket over a black shirt, the outfit finished off by acid wash skinny jeans. His feathers looked freshly plummed and magnificent. Sang could never get over their majesty that somehow fit Gabe so well, even though the course language he was known for tended to clash with his regal plumes.

"You don't need an invitation, Meanie! You're always welcome at all the breakfast parties," Sang reassured him.

Gabe pecked her on the lips on his way toward the food. "You're too cute, Trouble."

The other boys emphatically agreed. Sang blushed. If the stove ever broke, they could probably fry the bacon on her cheeks. It was impossible to control her reactions to the boys, even after so much time had passed since they met.

Marc finished his food and quickly gathered his bean into a hug, tail wrapping around her leg briefly before he said his goodbyes and left to get some much-needed sleep.

With Sang's attention no longer focused on Marc, she went to grab some breakfast of her own. North pushed a plate towards her. He had wanted her to start eating as soon as she'd entered the kitchen, but he was getting better at letting her eat when she was ready.

North wasn't perfect at trusting Sang with her diet, though. The plate was piled high with eggs and bacon, with some fruit on the side. "North Star," Sang appealed. "I can't eat this much."

"Stick that lip back in, Trouble!" Gabriel reached over to push on her bottom lip with his index finger. When that failed, he turned his attention to North. "F-----, do something!"

Victor took another plate and transferred half the food from Sang's heap of protein and fruit onto the empty one. "You did give Princess enough for two people, North."

"I'll eat some for you, Agelle Mou."

"Silas!" Sang exclaimed. The large turtle hybrid picked her off her stool to immerse her in a firm, gentle hug. She gave off a small, content sigh. Silas's hugs had to be the greatest in the world. She felt so warm and safe; his shell would protect her from the world.

"Put Baby down so she can eat." North was clearly a bit grumpy about everyone keeping Sang from having any food.

Silas placed his hand on the panther's shoulder to calm him. "She will, brother."

Sang quickly placed a bite of the still-warm eggs in her mouth and hummed with happiness. North really was a fantastic chef. Unwilling to stop eating now that she'd started, Sang gave a thumbs up while continuing to inhale her breakfast.

North visibly softened at the sight of his Baby enjoying his cooking. Silas gave him a quick pat on the back before sitting down to consume his own food.

Brandon and Corey came in together, scratching behind Sang's ears and pecking her cheeks on their way to the food.

"North, you and I have a client coming in shortly," Brandon warned.

North quickly took off his black apron (given to him by Sang, it said Kiss the Cook in pink) and handed his spatula over to Victor, who had already finished eating. "S---, I forgot. I'll go get ready now. Love you, Sang Baby." He hurried out the door, dark tail swishing behind him.

Victor looked down at the spatula he was now holding. While he was nowhere near the cooking disaster that was Sean, Victor also wasn't really one to cook. Luckily, Lucian was walking into the kitchen. "Would you mind taking over the bacon, Luke?"

"Only if you let me make chocolate chip pancakes," the monkey hybrid bargained.

Sang turned her pleading gaze towards Victor. "Chocolate chip pancakes?"

Victor sighed and nodded, handing off the spatula to a now-grinning Luke. "I'm not sure how you'll eat any pancakes after that much of the eggs and bacon, but I won't tell North."

The look on Sang's face was comparable to a child on Christmas morning. "Thank you, my Prince!"

Victor looked away to hide how flustered he felt. Nobody could resist the charms of their cute little bunny-rabbit.

Mr. Blackbourne made his entrance just as Luke was searching the cupboards for chocolate chips. "North threw them away," he informed Luke. "Even the ones you hid above the fridge. There's no point in looking."

"No good morning?" Gabe asked, face painted with fake hurt. "What sort of brother are you?"

If it had been anyone else, they might have rolled their eyes or made a sarcastic comment, but Owen merely ignored the peacock and planted a kiss on his Miss Sorenson.

Luke mumbled creative curses on his brother under his breath. With Sang's huge ears, she caught a hint of some of them and had to hold her hand over her mouth to stop her giggles. "--such a broccoli-headed dentist-loving--" "--even if he turned into a sugar cube he wouldn't be sweet--"

"Don't worry, Luke," she assured him. "We can make berry pancakes. They may not be quite as perfect as chocolate chips, but they're still sweet. I'll put chocolate on my shopping list for later today and we can use it for tomorrow's breakfast."

Luke cheered up at that idea, blowing his Cupcake a kiss as he became a whirlwind of ingredients, mixing with his tail while one arm turned bacon and the other measured out flour or water.

Gabe and Silas said their goodbyes and left for the docks and an Academy job, respectively.

Sang, who had finally finished her eggs and bacon, contributed her fruit to the pancakes and sprayed the pancake griddle with nonstick spray.

By the time the pancakes were ready a few minutes later, Mr. Blackbourne had left for a meeting with Dr. Roberts, Brandon had left with North for their repair shop, and Corey and Victor were off coding a videogame together.

Kota and Axel were discussing paperwork for Marc's mission when they entered the kitchen. Sang arranged their plates into smiley faces and poured each of them a glass of orange juice. Luke was too busy adding mounds of homemade whipped cream to his pancake stack to acknowledge the pair.

"Thank you, Sweetie"

"This looks amazing, Little One"

Sang flung her arms around first the owl and then the otter. "I'm glad you are eating breakfast, my hard-working boys."

Kota and Axel were taken aback. "I always eat," Axel responded defensively.

"Protein bars don't really count."

A harrumph was the only response Sang received. Beaming, Sang bounced back toward Luke to grab the whipped cream before suddenly turning back. "Has anyone woken up Raven?"

Kota's eyes shifted to Axel and Axel glanced at Kota. "No, Sweetie. Would you mind doing it? He probably won't kill you."

"You're all such babies," Sang announced. "I'll do it." She stuck her finger into the whipped cream and then sucked it off, drawing the rapture of all three boys, before skipping off towards the Russian Bear's bedroom.

Luke stared after her, mind now crammed with images of Sang--and whipped cream--and Sang covered in whipped cream--or him covered in whipped cream and Sang--he definitely had lots of daydream fodder.

Axel smirked at the little tease before going back to his conversation with the owl hybrid, whose feathers seemed to be slightly prickled, the only visible expression of his agitated state.

When Sang got to Raven's door, she took a deep breath. Her bear tended to hibernate and it was dangerous to wake him suddenly. The best method, she found, was to spray him with a hose from ten feet away. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option at the moment because his room (though he rarely slept in it, preferring to share with either Sang or Corey) was on the third floor.

Her plan was to throw pillows from a safe distance. This plan failed, however, as the sleeping bear was entirely unaffected by the soft objects. Raven didn't even roll over or grunt. Sang had a Plan B, but it was slightly perilous. North would ground her for even thinking about shaking him awake and then ducking under the bed, but North wasn't there. Plan B it was.

Sang rocked Raven's body as best she could and rolled under his bed in one rapid movement. As predicted, he shot up immediately and looked around for the intruder. Unexpectedly, though, he had a gun out and shot straight through the ceiling. It was lucky the Russian was on the top floor or someone might have been hurt. "Whose there? I am armed, you little cowards.," the bear growled at unseen enemies.

Noises could be heard from downstairs as the other boys ran up to find out what happened. Sang facepalmed. That plan did not go well. She slowly removed herself from under the bed. "Good morning, big bear."

Raven spun and pointed his weapon at her for a moment before dropping it to the ground and pulling her into a crushing hug. "Oh, it's you, Ptichka. Good morning to you, too."

Sean burst into the room, followed closely by Corey, Victor, Luke, Axel, and Kota. "What's wrong?" they all asked frantically.

"Is everyone okay?" Sean looked them both over, worry in his eyes. His bedhead was atrocious and his llama pajamas were mussed.

Raven wouldn't put her down, but Sang was used to it. She spoke as loudly as she could to overcome the muffling of Raven's chest. Not his shirt, as he wasn't wearing one (thankfully he had slept in boxers, or this would have been far more awkward a situation). "Sorry to wake you, Sean. I just went about waking Raven up the wrong way. It's all good now. Uh... aside from the new skylight."

Axel and Kota sighed at the new hole, while Raven seemed smug and Luke and Sean chuckled. Victor and Corey rolled their eyes at their brother's antics. "I guess alls well that ends well," Kota said. "As you were, everyone. I'll call Mr. B."

At that, they all separated back to their various pursuits. Sean was too adrenaline-filled to go back to sleep, so he joined the others in the kitchen and lamented with Luke about the sad lack of chocolate chips. Raven carried Sang back to the kitchen and wouldn't let go until he was finished eating.

Breakfast in the Sorenson-Toma-Blackbourne-Weiland-Lee-Green-Ravenstahl-Taylor-Henshaw-Korba-Morgan-Griffin-Coleman household was as complicated an affair as stating out their entire combined name... but none of them would have it any other way.
