Chapter sixteen
Hades
Continuation is chapter fourteen
Just as I was about to punch her, I felt myself been lifted from the ground, screaming in pain. I felt as if my body was burning from the inside. Been taken apart piece by piece
I was in so much pain I thought I was going to die. I felt like she was twisting my guts and rearranging my insides.
"You think you can fight me without your power. You are worthless against me mutt."
As if the pain I was feeling wasn't enough, she some how stared twisting my bones.
"Gab fight back, you can beat her and you know it. Fight honey, fight."
Hearing my mom pleading like that took me into another trace. She was crying for her mate, her family, for me. And I wasn't going to disappoint.
"Maybe I should just end the most vulnerable one. She looks like a sweetheart, sad I might have liked her."
Flashing my eyes at her, I knew that then I had her attention. "You think you can kill the son of the demon king, you must be delusional."
With her distracted, I had time to sink my claws into her head, "that's for my father you witch."
I dropped her body and then turned towards the rest of the pack. "Leave us alone, we'll leave the pack and you'll never see us again."
"The funny thing about diseases like you, they always find a way back into beautiful things. So, no Black I'm not letting you leave," alpha Toby growled at me.
"You are demons and belong in hell and that's where I'm taking you," the beta shouted. I don't even know this idiot. He was given this position recently.
"If you insist, I'll save you the best seats there." With that we threw each other in a fight of claws, punches and fangs. I made sure to help break the chains they had my family in. My mother was able to shift and help.
I felt my strength draining cause I wasn't used to being in my demon form. Since I was a hybrid, I knew I possessed a werewolf side, but he rarely showed up. I really needed him right now.
"I'm always here Gab."
WHAT!?
That made me distracted cause the next thing I felt myself been stabbed. I looked and saw a pack warrior, Caleb had a silver knife covered in my blood.
"I thought you were my friend," I knew I sounded hurt, cause I was physically and mentally.
"I will not betray my pack for a demon," he was ready to attack me again.
"Baby let's go, we don't have to fight them." Mom was right we have to get away from here. We had suffered enough.
"She's right alpha let them go. This will only lead us to war with the demons. The last thing we need are those diabolical creatures coming for us," one of the warriors spoke.
"I'm giving you one hour to get away from my territory and carry this corpse with you. But don't be deceived that this is forgotten, I will find you."
Giving them a last glance we ran towards the forest hoping that the Toby would leave us alone.
Maybe that had been too much to ask of.
*******************
We found unclaimed land and buried dad there. It had been hard saying goodbye but we had to move.
Mum suggested going back to the demon kingdom but I'm sure we left cause of unsolved issues.
Mom told us that dad was the ruler. He inherited the kingdom from his mother, the first female demon ruler, Agatha. But like every strong there has to a villain.
Uncle Marcel, tried to overthrow dad from the position. She said he was jealous of father and wanted the kingdom. Having carried envy from a young age could really destroy families. Marcel banished us from the kingdom and made sure that we would never step into it again.
*********************
"Let's go back home. We can fight for it. You just have to show me how to use my powers mom."
"No, I'm not losing anyone else. We have fought for too long and no change at all. We have food and shelter Gab, let's be content with that."
I looked around the cave that we were living in," mom I understand but if we don't leave here rogues will come for us. We might get sick, we are staving. Scavenging remains like vultures mother. We have a home and I'm willing to fight for it, if you stand with me. Please."
Mom looked at us, sorrow in her gaze and I'm sure I saw her face soften.
"Okay, but we need allies if we are to beat Marcel. We are on unclaimed land, so we are safe for now. You need to be strong honest and vicious. Never let anyone see weakness.
That was the last time, me and my siblings ever felt a loving mother.
***********************
My family trained, all of us. My siblings had it the worst. Young children had to learn to become killing machines.
We made allies. Others packs refused us entry. Throwing arrows towards us even an inch close to their territories. So we went to the next best option.
Rogues.
They were worse. Already had a leader. Carrying the pain of banishment from their packs. I had to fight many of them, too many. Mom was helpful cause she taught me how to make them submit.
I learnt that lone wolves were easier to manipulate. Give them the promises of power and victory, they are willing to leave with you.
I had to make an army if I wanted to beat my uncle. It was tough, making plans with people who wanted to overthrow you and we're only there for the money. It was also hard trusting them too. Man it was difficult.
Mom told me I had to find a way to make them trust me, fear or submission. That's how we spent two years of our lives. Moving from place to place, catching rogues and lone wolves. Those who fought against me died, those who submitted where saved and for some my reputation already reseeded me.
They made weapons, either from stealing or our already craftsmen. Mom said demons were hard to kill, we had to have a clear form of attack and clever ideas. That wasn't hard cause she already knew how the kingdom looked. But eighteen years is long time staying away from home.
**************************
"Lucia, how nice to see you again. After all those years, banishment became boring."
"No Marcel, just visiting family. Trying to take back what you stole." Mom was never one to beat around the bush.
"I see your children but not my brother. Did he finally die or got tired of mutt stench."
I moved forward, I was going to kill this idiot. How dare he disrespect my father's memory. "Aah, Gabriel I remember now, you were so little when you parents left. What vile stories did they tell you of me?"
"Enough." I moved next to the window. The castle was huge but a distance from the forest where our warriors were. They were just awaiting my signal to attack and with the way this man was talking, it wouldn't be long.
"Marcel, I'll be straight with you incase I already wasn't. You will leave the throne and let Gabriel have his birthright. I'm sure your hellhounds won't be thrilled to know that you lied about their leader. Making them think that their leader abandoned them and having literal satan rule them."
"You continue growing ignorant as you grow old. I'm not leaving this throne without a fight."
Finally.
"Wouldn't have expected anything less uncle."
Now.
I mind linked my pack, I was done dealing with this asshole.
To be continued ................................... ***************************************************
This concludes this chapter. I'm kind of tired and need to go to bed, have classes tomorrow.
My updates may be disrupted but I will do my best. I really want this book to be a success. It is my first Wattpad book and I had high hopes for it. I hoped to have completed it but I'll take my time.
I've learnt that progress is still progress even if it's slow.
Hope you enjoy this chapter. Don't be a silent reader, please show it some love. Vote, comment and share.
Until next time.
