I want to die.

Hades had suggested that we use his limo that way we arrive on time. I won't lie getting into his territory was scary. I was searched as if I was carrying a bomb. If eyes could kill, that pack member would be seven feet under

He apologized for that and then led me to his limo. How rich was this dude? In rogue territory, it's like calling thieves towards you. This kind of lifestyle was a dream for me.

What made me think it is a good idea to sit with the rogue king in a slit black dress without anyone around?

He kept looking at my legs, then playing it off like he wasn't staring. He kept adjusting his tie and moving in his seat. I am getting agitated.

"I'm I making you uncomfortable Hades?"

"Huh, no. Not at all." He seemed nervous answering that.

"Why then do you keep fidgeting, it's making me nervous as well." 

"No it's not that. I didn't actually think you'd wear a sexy dress and with all due respect you look hot  in it."

I am too flustered to even come up with a comeback and he noticed it.

"Umm, thank you and don't flutter yourself I didn't wear it to please you."

"Never had such compliments I assume," he smirked now looking more confident in making me uncomfortable.

"Actually I have, just not expecting that from you," clearing my throat I tried to hide the slit from him.

"Don't hide, I'm sorry if I made you uneasy. I just couldn't help telling you that."

I looked at Hades, like actually looking at him. I won't lie he's attractive. From his lashes to his lips he was dashing. He had shaved so I could see his features more clearly.

Unlike the first time we met, today he cleaned up nice. His hair was gelled down and held in a ponytail. He had beautiful black eyes, just like his soul, I'm sure. Small, plump lips that looked kissable.

With that thought, I licked my dry lips and I noticed Hades follow the movement. No way. I shouldn't think this way I had a mate.

"So tell me something about yourself. We can't travel without taking, it gets awkward," Hades tried to make conversation.

I agree on that.

For the rest of the journey we spent our time talking about everything and anything. I learnt that Hades name was Gabriel Black. I think Hades suits him more. He told me of his travels looking for rogues to recruit and how many rebelled.

I was surprised how he was easy to talk to. He is surprisingly good company. I don't know what but I'm already feeling attached to him. Like I wanted to stay by his side and I wanted him to stay by mine.

It weird cause I only felt like that with Xander. I don't what to overthink this feeling but I'm sure I've felt this somehow. Which is terrifying if I'm being honest.

He somehow convinced me to sing with the condition that he sings as well. It was hilarious.

"You have a terrible singing voice," I laughed after we were done. I felt like I was going to die of laughter.

I looked at him only to find him observing me already. Like he was literally checking me out, without hiding it. He has audacity I'll give him that. I wonder if he has a mate, shameless as he is I'm sure he's good to her. Maybe.

"You have the most beautiful laughter I've ever heard."

Fuck!

We arrived at my grandfather's palace after a while. The limo stopped in the forest next to his house. I could see that the palace was indeed ready for guests. I can only imagine how it looked inside.

"Let's go, don't want to keep grandpa Everest waiting."

He helped me out, and only then did I notice his gloves. Why did he have gloves on? It wasn't even that cold!

He seemed to notice my stare," I just like gloves."

Huh, weird.

It started as whispers and murmurs.

Then loud chatting and curses.

Hades was subject to the talks. Everywhere we went someone had something to say.

"She has no shame bringing the rogue king here."

"How dare a murderer come to the elder's house?"

"A rogue, how low she stomped!"

"Just look at his scars, he's a killer and destroyer."

I am getting tired of these people insulting him as if that made them any better. I went to confront one of them, but Hades stopped me. He held my arm and shook his head.

"He's right, they aren't worth it. Let's look for your grandfather."

I made sure my attention was on finding grandpa and Hades, no one else. I just wished I noticed HIM sooner.

"We have to be quick Klaus doesn't want anymore fucks up. Follow the plan and please answer you fucking radios."

I just wanted to see her again, I won't care what happens to the plan or me, just her.

"I'll keep that in mind Amy, I already know the plan. I'll see at the check point," kissing her cheek in snicked around the house.

Klaus saw it was a good plan to surprise Everest during a ball, this man and power.

I wanted to see her, Stacey.

"I'm coming my love."

"Stacey why in goddess's name did you think it is a good ideas to come with Hades to the ball?"

Wow, never heard him talk that much.

"Grandpa it's nothing big, plus he wanted to be here. Please don't scold me, I've heard enough already."

"Everest always a pleasure." Hades had an unpleasant expression on his face.

"Wish I could say the same. Leave my granddaughter in your scamming, I don't like the game you're playing."

"I haven't forced her in anything, all this is her own thoughts. Plus you have a stubborn granddaughter, more than you actually."

"Okay enough of this," I waved over a waiter, taking the champagne," take this and welcome your guests. I'll stay here."

Grandpa looked like he had something to add, then left for the stage.

"Well that went well." I was already exhausted and this ball hadn't even began. I was especially dreading the dancing and petty talks.

"Everyone I'd like to welcome you to my humble home. Thank you for honouring the visit and coming here. This and annual event that brings us together, please  feel at home. Refreshments are in plenty and please help yourself to anything. Have a wonderful evening, cheers,"  lifting his glass to the crowd he left the stage.

"Humble house, this place is a castle. You're grandfather is very modest." I turned to see a man standing next to me. He looked terrible and trouble.

"Aaah River Wave that's why I smelt trouble."

He laughed at that," you're uncle says the same of you. I'm Jared, gamma of the pack."

"I assume this you know me already and this won't be a pleasant conversation." Xavier's pack was as rotten as him and I'd be damned to believe the word of a serpent.

"You know this so well. Xavier is willing to form an alliance with you as long as Hades is out of the picture. Rumours spread fast alpha and you wouldn't want to be on the wrong side during war."   Was this a threat?

"I appreciate the offer but I will never do business with my uncle. Please tell him to show his face next time, rather than sending a servant. If you'll excuse me I have my date with me." I took Hades hand and went to the dance floor.

Some people were already dancing to some slow song. As much as I hated dancing, I wanted to escape these meaningless conversations as fast as possible.

"Date huh. I had no idea you thought that way."

"Stop and I only wanted to get away from him. He smells like lice."

He laughed at that," ooh and he laughs."

"What can I say, you're a funny little person."

"Hey, I'm not little," if we weren't here, I'd had stomped my feet.

"Whatever you say princess."

"Shut up," I muttered under my breathe.

We continued dancing and at some point I became aware of Hades hands dropping close to my ass. The distance between us is also becoming significantly small as if something is pulling us together. I was feeling quite embarrassed cause I led him here and I wasn't even paying attention to this stupid dance.

"Look at me," he whispered.

I turned to him, found him already looking at him. He looked like he was assessing me, taking me in and judging.

"You look beautiful."

"You don't look that bad yourself."

"No I'm not lying, you're beautiful. Your eyes, nose, your lips. Fuck Stacey you're lips. You have got to be the most beautiful woman I have met. You defend me to your family even though you don't you my story. I am a bad man but you talk about me as if you know me. I have never wanted anyone in this small amount of time. I be damned to not want someone like you."

My breathe hitched at that, we are surrounded by werewolves. I'm sure even though we are whispering the people around us heard. The snickers and clicks proof. I want to stangle them.

"They don't matter, look only at me."

"You can't say that. We don't even know each other that well. Stop." I already had my heart broken once and I refuse to believe a complete stranger.

"Tell me you don't feel it. It's like a pull towards each other, tell me you don't feel it and I'll leave you alone. I'll go and you'll never have to worry."

"Hades I already have a mate."

"I know fuck, I know. Don't you believe in second chances? Tell me."

I didn't realize I had stopped dancing and was pulling away from him.

"I need some fresh air." I excused myself and went to the balcony. I took a deep breath the moment I was there. This can't be real.

"Shit, shit. This can't be happening now! Why him? I want Xander back," Sonia whined.

I feel her.

"I wanted to tell you but it wasn't my place to disclose such knowledge."

"I know grandpa," turning towards him," but why Hades? Why the enemy of all werewolves? I already have my forever person."

"I know that dear but we can never understand the moon goddess. I'm sure it's a good thing."

"How is that a good thing? You hate him, dad hates him more and mom can't even stand the mention of his name. Tell me how that's a good thing?" I want to scream, yell beyond the ends of the world.

"Stacey why are your eyes purple?"

"Huh." What?

"Your eyes turned purple." He seemed fascinated by that.

"I don't know." Should I tell him? "Stacey, please do maybe he knows what's happening to us."

"Dear, has anything been happening...." He wasn't done talking when the door was opened, " Elder there's a problem. Rogues are surrounding the building."

No, Hades not now.
