I wiped the table harshly, completely panicked in my thoughts. This is just begging to be misconstrued and turn into a crazy problem.

"Uh Tweek?" I ignore her. "Tweek," Karen says louder as she grabs my wrist. "Tweek is something wrong?"

Karen looks concerned. Oh good going now she thinks you're off the rocks. "I-I-I'm fine."

Karen nods sadly, "Uh huh, but you've been washing this table for the last fifteen minutes." Karen pulls me gently over to one of the stools behind the counter and sits me down. "Do you want to talk about it?" She asks, beginning to make something.

I shake my head, tangling my hands in my apron. Karen finishes the beverage she's making after a few moments of near silence, and hands it to me.

"Let's talk. Please," she says, sitting down in the other stool, "I'm worried about you."

I shake my head, "I-It's fine. Every-Everything is fine."

Karen looks sadly at me, as if she disappointed and I can't take that look on her face, feeling my hands twitch tightly in my apron.

"I th-think Craig wants... er to-to date me."

Karen looks surprised and smiles, "Tweek, that's great!"

I shake my head, "No!" I shout, "No it's not. He didn't s-say that he wanted to date date me- h-he said that he w-wanted to erg hang out or something. I don't think it's ac-actually a date-"

Karen pats my shoulder and I pick up the mug from the counter and take a quick sip, "Then just act normal. Ask him if you have to, but just act like you guys are just hanging out. He already knows how you feel about him. You've been on good terms with him lately, haven't you?" I nod. "Then don't worry about it. Friends or something more, you'll be fine. Just try and have a good time, okay?" I nod again.

"Excuse me, can I get some service over here?" Karen jumps slightly.

"Uh yes! O-Of course!" She rushes over with a "What can I get you today?"

I set down the coffee Karen made me and head toward the back room. I sit down on the bench in there and sigh, as I rub my face trying to calm down.

Karen enters a few moments later, "Tweek?" She says as she pops her head in, "You can go home if want. I'll close up today."

I nod and take off my apron.
