I step outside into the cold winter wind that bites at the small amount of skin I have exposed. The snow sloshes and crunches under my boots as I make my way around town, to the main road.

Once I get there, I pull myself over the ledge and jump down.

I crash as ungraceful as possible, collapsing into the snow, and crawling under the bridge, on the ledge overlooking a semi-steep ledge graffitied until there wasn't a clear spot left.

I sighed as I stared out over the graffitied ledge and small river that ran past it. At the bottom of the ledge there was a trail, then a railing guarding the river and rocks that littered it.

I took in a breath of the cold morning air, the wind now beating against the sides of the road, instead of my pale thin skin.

I turned and laid on my side, pulling my legs up onto the edge at the top. Now, from the trail I was invisible.

I closed my eyes and listened to the sounds of cars rushing by, the wind, and the river's water rushing.

Maybe I should just move out. Or should I just let him move out...? Well, if I'm the problem, then it would make more sense for me to move out and spare him the uncomfortable time getting used to a new house.

"Ay!"

My eyes slowly force themselves open, to reveal a boy in an orange parka standing below the steep ledge on the trail waving to me.

I sit up, lowering myself off of the block I was sitting on and let myself slide down the ledge where I was a little more than 4 feet from the bottom.

Kenny smiled at me, "Whatcha doin' here?" he asks.

I look up at the sky and then back at him. He nods slightly, "Craig again?"

I nod slightly, "Let me guess, the jerk brought home another girl, didn't he?"

I nod again. "Ah, that asshole."

I shake my head. He cocks an eyebrow at me, "Really?"

I nod. Craig's not that bad. It could always be a lot worse.

Kenny climbs the steep ledge to sit next to me, only a few feet from the ground.

He pats my shoulder, "It'll get better, dude. It will."
