Chapter 41

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I'm sooooooo sorry that it's been so long. I've have literally zero time because of school, and I'm doing piano, and helping with my mother's chorus, and now I'm going to start volunteering at an animal shelter. I'm honestly trying to write as much as I possibly can but it's really difficult right now. Also, thank you all so so so so much for 20k! It's so insane to get this far in this story. Always,
                                                         ~Emmy

As they arrived at the hospital, Juliane's mind was flooded with memories of her time there, and everything that her father did to her. He put her in a coma, but she got to see her mother again. It was a memory that stayed with her. This visit wasn't about Juliane, so she didn't say anything. Molly led them to the front desk, where the group waited anxiously. The line wasn't long, just a few witches and a wizard looking for their family members. The wait seemed to take longer than it actually was, probably because the entire family was nervous to see Arthur. Molly had come home the night of the attack, looking pale and tired, but assuring them that her husband was going to be alright. Since then, they had all been awaiting the day they were allowed to see him with bated breath.

Bill stood in line, one arm wrapped around Juliane's waist, and the other nervously fingering his fang earring. Juliane seemed to sense his nerves, as she looked up with eyes filled with pure caring for Bill. He felt his heart speed up in his chest as he looked back down at Juliane. He loved this woman. She was his one and only. The only person that he could tell anything too and not be judged, or made fun of. Juliane's eyes turned to questioning as Bill realized he had probably been staring for a long while.

"What?" She asked, a small smile playing on the corners of her lips.

"Nothing. I just love you... So much." Bill sighed, kissing Juliane's forehead. Juliane let out a small giggle.

"That's random of you love. Are you feeling okay?" She joked, placing her hand on his forehead. Bill snorted, despite the situation as they moved up in line. Juliane stood up on her toes and kissed Bill. "You'll be fine Bill. I'll be right next to you the entire time." She whispered as they got to the front of the line.

"How can I help you?" The lady at the front desk asked, looking up from her papers.

"We're here to see Arthur Weasely," Molly said anxiously. "His room was recently moved. Could you tell us where he is?" The lady ran one of her long, painted nails down the sheets of parchment that were sitting in front of her.

"Ah yes. Arthur Weasely, first floor, second floor to the right. Dai Llewelling ward." She instructed before shouting, "NEXT!" Molly nodded awkwardly, moving the others forwards. They walked down a long, narrow, hallway, lined with portraits of famous healers. They eventually climbed a rickety set of stairs, and to a hall, marked 'Creature induced injuries' Underneath, there was a golden plaque that read 'Healer-in-Charge: Hippocrates Smethwyck, Trainee Healer: Augustus Pye.'

"This is where we are." Molly instructed ushering them through the door and into the second room. Bill seemed to hesitate, something that nothing but Juliane noticed.

"Bill?" She asked cautiously. Bill took a deep breath swallowing his nerves and shooting Juliane a reassuring smile.

"I'm alright little Anne." He said. They walked into the room to see a slightly pale but smiling, Arthur. It seemed as if everyone let out the breath that was held in the tense moment. He was sitting up, propped up with pillows of course, with a large wad of bandages wrapped around his left arm.

"What happened, dad!" Ginny exclaimed. "Shouldn't you be healed by now?"

"Well, you see, I start bleeding like mad every time they try to remove the bandages," Arthur said cheerfully.

"Oh!" A little squeak left Alex's mouth as she saw her father. They were similar in many ways, Alex and Arthur, and seeing him like this was very hard for the girl as she buried her face in George's shoulder. He patted her on the back soothingly, and the three surrounded each other.

"I'm alright, I'm alright." Arthur assured them all rather quickly. Molly's eyes narrowed suspiciously.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Well-Erm-you-you see Molly dear." Arthur cleared his throat awkwardly. "Have you seen Agustus Pye!" He exclaimed loudly.

"Arthur..." There was a warning tone in Molly's voice as her piercing gaze made Arthur shrink away.

"Fine. Don't get angry dear... But, Agustus Pye... Trainee healer... He was rather interested in... Um... Complementary medicine." Arthur cringed back slightly before continuing. "I mean, some of those muggle remedies." He muttered. "They're called stitches... And-Erm... They work very well on... Muggle injuries." Molly let out a small noise of anger. Everyone instantly knew to clear away.

"Well... I ought to go and get a cup of tea. Come with me, Little Anne?" Bill muttered.

"Y'know what, I think I should get another." Juliane threw away the cup she had brought with her and quickly strode out the door. Remus went to see a werewolf in the next bed, who looked rather lonely and had been staring at the group with what of a wistful look on his face. Remus bent down and started whispering to the mane. The triplets followed Bill and Juliane out of the door, along with Hope. Charlie and Adria said something about finding an old friend from the dragon sanctuary here, and Ren, Ronan, Sera, Kai, and Zander, Kai's boyfriend, all casually strolled out of the room, saying they needed to go for a walk. It seemed everyone wanted to get away from Molly as soon as possible. The woman didn't notice them leave, and Ginny, Ron, Harry, Harmony, and Hermione were left standing awkwardly in the corner.

"You mean to tell me, that you've been messing about with muggle remedies!?" Molly shrieked, her voice getting louder with every word she spoke.

"N-not messing about Molly dear,  but Pye and I thought- I mean- Well- These particular remedies aren't working as well as we hoped." Arthur fiddled with his sheets.

"Meaning?" Molly asked venomously.

"Erm... Do-do you know what stitches are?" Arthur asked.

"Well, it sounds as if you've been trying to sew your skin back together. But you aren't that stupid Arthur."

"Y'know what, I fancy a cup of tea too! Come on Harry." Harmony said suddenly, jumping hurridly to her feet. The others followed soon after. As the door swung shut, they all heard Molly shout,

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT'S THE GENERAL IDEA!?" They left the two to talk it out.

Juliane sat in the dining area, surrounded by people. There was Bill, then the triplets, known for their mischief, and yet, nobody was talking. Mainly because they were all worried about Arthur. Especially Alex, who sat solemn-faced, with Fred and George, each with an arm wrapped around her shoulder. They seemed to be having a conversation without words, and Juliane felt an overwhelming sense of longing for a sibling. She knew that she had three, Sirius, Thalia, and Jason, but she didn't grow up with them. She didn't know what it was like to argue with a sibling, to grow up with other people. It was sad but true.

Adria and Charlie walked down the dimly lit corridor of the hospital in a silence. Charlie was the one who broke it. "Dria?" He asked, Adria, who had a hand on her stomach, turned slightly.

"What's up?" She asked, swinging their hands.

"What do you think Ken will say when he sees you?" Charlie winced as if Adria was going to smack him. Adria let out a laugh, much to his surprise.

"Well, I expect he'll be surprised that I'm both engaged and pregnant, but after the shock wears off, then I think that he'll be happy. I mean it's been around two years since we've last seen him, and I think that he got over his tiny crush." Adria said calmly, a rather large contrast to what she was usually like, a point Charlie made sure to bring up. He stopped dead in the corridor and turned to Adria, placing one of his hands on her forehead with a look of concern on his face.

"Are you sick, what's wrong?" He asked. Adria let out a small giggle, pushing his hand away.

"Nothing, I'm just-" She suddenly stopped and an odd look crossed her face. "Charlie I'm going to tell you something and I hope you don't panic." She said calmly, as the look vanished.

"What? What's wrong?" Charlie instantly went into overprotective mode, checking Adria over. The woman took a deep breath before speaking again.

"My water just broke."
