Chapter 4
"So... You're a Black." Bill stated late at night the next day. The two were sitting at the kitchen table, having a cup of tea.
"Yes. Sirius Black is my step brother even though he doesn't know it yet." Juliane answered before smiling slightly. It was still strange for her to be using her voice, but it felt amazing.
"Really? How?" Juliane gave her boyfriend a look.
"Well when a mommy and daddy really love each other-" She cut off abruptly when a very tired looking Ginny came stumbling down the stairs along with the rest of the family who took a seat at the table. Charlie, and Adria sat next to Bill and Juliane. Juliane and Adria were like sisters to each other and had kept in touch not only when Juliane left school, but when Adria quit and went to work with dragons.
"I need to go to bed" Ginny yawned.
"You almost missed sending us off while you were taking a nap." Bill answered getting up for more tea.
"You're leaving already?!" Ginny exclaimed now fully awake as the others sniggered.
"We have to get back. There's a lot to be done at Gringotts." Juliane said resting her head in her hands. Bill placed a hand on her back.
"B-But you were barely here for a day!" The young Hogwarts student yelled, exasperated.
"I'm just kidding Gin, you know we're actually staying for the-" Bill's statement was cut off by a loud crashing in the next fireplace. The entire group that was sitting at the table, turned to see the Potters stumble out of the fireplace after a laughing Fred, Alex, and George.
"Ooh! Did he eat it?!" Alex squealed. Harmony nodded furiously, doubling over in laughter.
"What was that thing?" Hope asked.
"Ton-Tongue Toffee." Alex started.
"We invented them over the summer. Been looking for someone to test them on all summer..." George trailed off. The entire kitchen exploded in laughter. The three looked around and noticed the three sitting at the table.
"How're you Harry, Harmony, Hope." Charlie said sticking out a hand. The three took turns shaking his calloused hands. Bill stood up with a smile, also shaking their hands. Before he could say anything, a very angry Arthur apparated into the kitchen.
"What did you give him you three." He yelled.
"We didn't give him anything... I simply dropped my sweets. It's his fault he went and ate them." Fred grinned evilly
"You dropped it on purpose!" roared Mr. Weasley. "You knew he'd eat it, you knew he was on a diet —"
"How long did his tongue get?" Fred asked jumping up and down like a little kid on Christmas.
"About four feet before his parents would let me shrink it." Arthur said. The family roared with laughter.
"It isn't funny!" Mr. Weasley shouted. "That sort of behavior seriously undermines wizard–Muggle relations! I spend half my life campaigning against the mistreatment of Muggles, and my own children-"
"We didn't give it to him because he's a Muggle!" said Fred indignantly.
"No, we gave it to him because he's a great bullying git," defended George.
"Isn't he, Potters?" Alex finished turning to the group.
"Yeah, he is, Mr. Weasley." said Harry earnestly, trying to cover for the triplets.
"That's not the point!" raged Mr. Weasley. "You wait until I tell your mother —"
"Tell me what?" said a voice behind them. They turned to see Mrs. Weasley enter the kitchen. "Oh hello, Harry, Hope, Harmony dears." She smiled, spotting the three awkwardly standing there. Then her eyes snapped back to her husband. "Tell me what, Arthur?" Arthur hesitated. They could all tell that, however angry he was with Alex, Fred, and George, but he hadn't really intended to tell Mrs. Weasley what had happened.
"He gave Dudley a Ton-Tongue Toffee." Ginny smirked.
"Mum I swear we never-" Fred tried but one look from his mother shut him up.
"YOU GAVE THE BOY CANDY FROM THAT WEASLEY'S WIZARD WHEEZES!?" Molly shrieked. Juliane began to chuckle. Soon enough, her, and the entire kitchen were laughing. Molly wheeled on them.
"This is not a laughing matter!" Molly hissed at the them, but unlike the rest of the Weasley's, who stopped laughing instantly, Juliane didn't back down.
"It was kinda funny Molly." She said giving the woman innocent eyes.
"They used the poor boy as a test subject." Molly shot back.
"Okay... That was completely and utterly wrong, but I mean if you think about it the three only used one." Juliane said.
"Yes, well they're lucky they get to go to the tournament." Molly grumbled before walking out of the room and into the kitchen to fix them a meal. Juliane turned to the three Potters.
"Hello there! I'm Juliane." She said sticking out her hand. The three stared at her in shock. Making her put a hand on her face. "Sorry but is there something...?" She trailed off and Bill walked over.
"No little Anne." He sighed. Juliane glared at him before signing.
'I hate you Bill Weasley.' The oldest Weasley only grinned at her before signing back.
'Oh please! You weren't saying that last week.' He laughed at Juliane's face of pure horror.
"The poor children's ears!" She exclaimed covering George's ears.
"Oh please! None of them can read-" Bill turned to the Potters. "None of you can read sign language... Right?"
"Not that I know of... But that depends on what you were talking about." Harmony smirked. Hope swatted her sister's arm before going over to Fred, who wrapped an arm around her shoulder. Juliane cocked an eyebrow and looked over at Bill.
"Did you know about that?" She asked.
"Nope, did you?"
"Nope." Juliane shared a glance with Adria, before the two turned to Fred. "Awww! Little Freddykins has a girlfriend!" They cooed simultaneously. Both of the teens turned red.
"Well I need to take a little break." Juliane said walking over to the couch and collapsing on it.
"No, no, no... You are going to help me set up for dinner." Molly said. Harry, Harmony, Hope, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron had escaped up the stairs to see their room.
"But mum-" George started but Molly cut him off.
"No lip from you three." She said pointing a spoon at the door as they trudged outside.
"I'll help set up the tables." Juliane announced standing up and stretching.
"We'll help." Bill said, pulling Charlie, and Adria out with him. It wasn't long before the underage students came outside with plates and silverware in their hands. With a flick of her wand, Juliane finished with the last table, and Bill set it with a flourish.
"Well, you don't have to show off." Juliane yelled over to him.
"Oh, but I really do." Bill grinned.
"You two make me sick." Charlie groaned. The family sat at the table, eating the delicious food and chatting away until the sun set. The dinner consisted of, Percy boring everyone with Ministry matters, and Molly arguing with Bill about his earring, and hair. The triplets, and Charlie were arguing over the world cup, and Juliane was sticking up for Bill.
"Really Molly, I like his hair like this, and the earring is fine... Nobody gives a damn at Gringotts about what others look like. I mean I have scars running down my neck and not one person gives a second glance at it." Juliane argued with the person who had acted as her mother when she was younger.
"Yes, but I think it would be kind of personal to ask someone about the scars." Molly shot back.
"Well I don't care, I mean yeah, I hesitate to tell people the whole story, but look..." Juliane stood up and shouted, "MY FATHER NEARLY KILLED ME... THAT'S WHY I HAVE SO MANY BLOODY SCARS!" The entire table went silent, staring at the girl as she sat back down giving Molly a look. "Woo, I haven't been able to yell like that for so long."
"We all know. I think I liked it better when you couldn't talk." Adria joked.
"Thanks Dria." Juliane said rolling her eyes. She turned to see Hope staring at her. "Do you need something or..." Hope turned crimson.
"S-Sorry, I was just wondering why-"
"Why I yelled out that my father nearly killed me... Well that's simple, I was proving a point to Molly." Juliane said simply.
"Well yes, but why would a father do that?" Hope asked.
"Well, my dad wasn't a nice man. He grew bitter when my mum died, and apparently, I looked like her, so he took it out on me." Juliane said shrugging her shoulders. The talk died down as the family looked to Juliane. Molly awkwardly cleared her throat.
"Well, it's getting late, and we have a big day tomorrow. Time you all get some rest." She said ushering the group inside.
"Night everyone." Bill called behind him.
"Goodnight!" The group chorused as they walked into Bill's room and shut the door. Bill went to shower, and Juliane changed into a loose t-shirt and some large pajama pants, then crawled into bed. After a few minuets of trying--And failing-- To fall asleep, she felt the covers lift, and Bill crawl into the bed. His now wet hair was tied back as he wrapped an arm around Juliane's waist. She turned around and curled into him before finally falling asleep.
"Juliane. Come on love, it's time to get up." Bill shook his girlfriend, trying to get her to wake for the day.
"Go away Bill. I'll do it later." Juliane moaned from under the covers.
"Juliane it's time for the quidditch world cup." Bill whispered. Juliane shot out from under the covers and was in the bathroom faster than a bullet. Juliane took the fastest shower in the history of the world, and then got dressed.
"Bill, have you seen my wand?" She asked walking out of the bathroom whilst pulling her hair back.
"Should be on the bedside table, is it not?" Bill called from the bathroom where he was getting ready.
"Um...Wait! Found it!" Juliane shouted before securing it in her auburn hair to hold it up. Bill out of the bathroom and let out a chuckle at his girlfriend.
"You're gonna loose your wand one of these days, and I'll be there to laugh and say 'I told you so." Bill said intertwining their fingers. The two walked downstairs to see Charlie and Adria eating at the table, and Molly cooking some eggs in the pan.
"When did the rest of the group leave?" Juliane asked.
"About three hours ago. I told Arthur I'd send you four there about midday. Oh! And Percy left around an hour ago." Molly informed them tipping a large portion of eggs and three sausages on Juliane's plate. "Now eat up. You need to have energy for the World cup, and you look far to thin." Juliane took a bite of the eggs, and grabbed a slice of toast off the plate in the middle of the table.
"You know Molly, I always leave your house ten pounds heavier than I was when I got here." Juliane joked as she cut into a sausage.
"That's good dear." Molly called over her shoulder from where she was directing the plates to wash.
"Yeah Jules, mum's always complaining about you being so thin she can see your ribs." Charlie smiled.
"Thanks Charles." Juliane rolled her eyes before grinning wickedly at the boy. "Hey Charlie... Remember the first time you apparated?" Juliane asked.
"Vaguely." He said narrowing his eyes.
"Well I'll remind you... You Charles Weasley, apparated five miles north of where you were supposed to, AND you landed on an old lady who just wanted to get her shopping done." Juliane laughed along with Adria.
"It was a mistake alright! Merlin, are you ever going to let me live it down?" Charlie exclaimed.
"No. Nobody is." Juliane sniggered.
"Alright you three time to go!" Molly exclaimed glancing up at the clock. Juliane jumped from her chair, in excitement and raced to get some last minuet things.
"Someone's excited." Bill laughed at his girlfriend as she came downstairs with a small bag. He raised an eyebrow.
"It has an undetectable extension charm on it." Juliane explained. "I keep some money, and clothes, and things for emergencies."
"It's the world cup little Anne. We'll be fine." Bill assured her, but she brought it anyways.
"Bye Molly!" Juliane waved after giving the woman a hug, and her and Bill apparated to the world cup. As they got there, the muggle at the gate handed them a map, and they were off to the tent. On top of a hill, two tents were perched next to each other, and Arthur looked like he was having fun with the fire. Barty Crouch was sitting stiffly next to Ludo Bagman, and Percy, who had left a little earlier, was squirming around in excitement.
"Hello." Juliane said politely sitting down.
"Ah! You must be the curse breakers from Gringotts!" Ludo said rather loudly to Bill and Juliane before turning to Charlie and Adria. "And the dragon tamers!" He exclaimed.
"Er... Yes. I'm Bill, and this is my girlfriend Juliane." Bill said sticking out a hand. Ludo took it, and shook his hand vigorously.
"I'm Charlie, and this is my best friend Adria." Charlie piped in.
"Oi! Ludo! We have some bets to shake on!" Alex yelled to Ludo. He jumped up and rushed over, facing the triplets.
"So, where am I staying?" Juliane asked.
"You'll be staying with the girls in that tent." Arthur pointed. Juliane walked in, with Bill not far behind her.
"I swear, you have a bigger tent than we do." He pouted.
"Aww. That's too bad." Juliane mock pouted back.
"Come on you two lovebirds! It's time to go!" Adria called from outside. Juliane smiled as excitement shown in her eyes.
"Let's go!"
