Chapter 36

Holy crap you guys! This is the most bestest thing that has ever happened to me... Ever! On October 12th, 2017, at exactly 8:22 P.M. (In North America time) We hit 10k reads. I'm going insane right now! I never once in million years thought that this could happen to me, a fourteen-year-old, anxiety-ridden, weirdo, with a huge imagination, and a love for Harry Potter, and fantasy in general. Thank you all for reading my book, and voting. It's because of all of you that I've gotten this far without deleting the book, and even on the worst of days, wrote because I love all of the positive feedback that I get from you guys and writing is helping me get through a rough patch in my life. It's because of everyone who reads this that I kept going and writing even if I had a major writer's block. Just... Thank you. It's really all I can say. I would say it to each and every one of you if I could, but now, you can just imagine it's me saying it.
                                                                       Always,
                                                                                    ~Emmy

Will fixed up Bill's hands nicely, while Nico watched, petting Bianca with an odd look on his face. Anyone could see that he really loved the cat but didn't want to admit it, and nobody could guess why. The demigods always shared a knowing look when they saw him with Bianca, but the other teenagers didn't understand. Bianca was Nico's sister. She was older and went on a mission with Percy, Annabeth, and their friend Grover, along with the other hunters of Artemis. Bianca sacrificed herself for the mission. When Nico found out, he was livid. The son of Hades made a rather large crack in the mess hall at camp half-blood. All was forgiven, but Nico still missed his sister every single day. Will seemed to help take away some of that pain though, by just being with Nico, and accepting him for who he was. That was all that mattered.

Will looked from Juliane to Bill, and then back at Juliane. He could feel that she was hurting constantly, in a state of depression that was left from her father, and she knew that, but still put on a happy facade for Bill, and for her family. 'She shouldn't do that though. It just makes the pain worse.' Will thought to himself.

"Juliane, can I talk to you for a second?" Will asked. Nico seemed to know what he was thinking, as he nodded at Will, and pulled him briefly to the side, giving him a quick kiss.

"Sure." Juliane said quietly. She put her arm on Bill's shoulder, letting it linger for a few moments, before walking after Will into the empty living room.

"I know you're depressed." Will decided that being bold and just saying it, was the best way to do things. Juliane stared at Will for a few moments before speaking.

"How did you figure it out? I have my mind guarded against people getting in. They can't see my emotions, they can't feel what I'm feeling. Even Demigods can't figure out what's wrong with me." She said.

"Well, I can. You clearly aren't guarded enough Jules. What you're feeling isn't normal. It's really bad for you to hide your emotions like you are. I know you still feel happy some of the time, I can feel it, but there's still a weight pressing against your chest, isn't there? Nico was the same way when I found him." Will paced back and forth. Juliane watched him with dull eyes. "And... After the entire thing last night, you felt even more pain. Your depression crept up on you again when you thought you were getting better. That's why you just got up and moving." Will ranted.

"Will.  It's alright. I have everything under control. See these?" Juliane held up a small orange bottle that had white pills inside. She had been going into the kitchen to get some water to take them when she saw Bill. "These are antidepressants. They help with my depression and make me feel better. I've been taking them since I was twelve when one of the professors, Minerva Mcgonagall, noticed I was acting off and took me to the Infirmary to get help." She said calmly. Will strode forwards and snatched the pills out of Juliane's hand.

"You've been taking pills to get better?!" He exclaimed. Juliane shushed him quickly, hoping nobody heard them.

"I have. And they've been working." She whispered.

"You are never going to get better by taking this medication." Will said harshly. "Juliane you should know that you need professional help! No medication can make all your problems disappear."

"You think I don't know that?!" Juliane shot back. "You think I don't wake up in the morning, wishing that I had a different life. That I was happy? That my father was never born? Because that's what I think. And then I see Rebel and Bill." Her face softened at the thought of the two. "They are the two that keep me living and breathing. They were the two people that got me out of my nightmare last night. My father tortured me like when I was little. He brought a knife to my skin." She pulled up her sleeves to reveal the fresh scars that littered her entire body. "It was the worst experience of my entire life."

"I'll help you get better." Will said finally, sighing, while he put a hand on his nose and pinched the bridge. "But you need to promise me to stop taking these stupid pills." Juliane looked at him strangely before saying one word.

"Fine."

For the next few weeks, Juliane and Will met up frequently. Will would talk to Juliane for an hour before she went to bed over a cup of tea every single night. Soon, it was time for the students to go back to school, and the Demigods to start on their prophecy to help the chosen twins. Juliane was so upset to see Hope leave for the year and Juliane was going to have to head home. She also was nervous. Will was going to be gone until Christmas. How were they going to be able to talk?

The entire house was bustling that morning. Juliane sat at the table, staring into her tea, deep in thought. She seemed to be doing that more often since her nightmare. Nobody noticed her though. They were all too busy doing other things.

"Are your bags packed?" Bill asked Hope as they walked into the kitchen. She rolled her eyes playfully with a wide grin on her face as Bill acted as her father.

"Of course I did. I have everything in my trunk. Which is upstairs." Hope answered, sitting down next to Juliane.

"Hey Jules. Can you please pass the syrup?" She asked, grabbing a pancake from the plate in front of her. Juliane shook her head, grabbing some bacon and passing it to Hope before going back to staring at her, now cold, tea. "Um... Jules?" Hope had a questioning tone to her voice as she held the plate in her hand.

"What? Sorry Hope. I wasn't really paying attention." Juliane sighed.

"Why? Are you alright?" Hope asked as Juliane handed her the syrup.

"I'm perfectly fine Hope. Just not looking forwards to you leaving." It wasn't a complete lie. Juliane was still going to miss Hope dearly. She was her adoptive daughter. The papers had been signed and it was official. The family didn't know yet. They were going to wait until Christmas to tell them, but both Juliane and Bill were positive that they were all going to be happy. With the exception of Harry and Harmony. The two were disappointed in not only their sister, but Bill and Juliane. The couple was taking away their older sister. Even though both knew deep inside, she was already gone. Hope barely spoke to her siblings anymore. She was always caught up in something else. It made them both wonder if that was what Hope felt all the time she was with them.

The rest of the family slowly walked in. Fred took his respective seat next to Hope, and they engaged in a heated conversation about Quidditch for the upcoming school year, with George piping in at times.

George was excited to say the least. He couldn't wait to go back to school and see Ada again. She had gone on a holiday to America over the summer, and didn't have time to write, which was a good thing because George wasn't allowed to write her. He still wished that he could because he missed his girlfriend and couldn't wait to see her again. He hoped she was excited to see him too.

Juliane smiled in George's direction, seeing him holding a crumpled up note in his hands. It was an old piece of parchment, probably two or three years old, and he was always reading the note that was written on it. She knew that is was from someone special, whether they be male or female, and she was so excited to know who this mystery girl was.

"Bill. Who do you think that not is from?" Juliane whispered to Bill.

"I have no idea. We should find out." Bill smirked back at her. The two didn't have a chance to, however, as breakfast came to an end and it was time to leave.

Standing at the station, Hope was a nervous wreak. It was now her seventh year, her final year, at Hogwarts and that meant after that year, she was out of school forever. Hope had made her decision on what she was going to do in the future. She was to help Fred, Alex, and George run their joke shop. It was what she wanted to do. There was also no news about the power she possessed. The summer had provided a break from the stress of figuring out what was going on with her, but now that she was returning to school, she had a meeting with Dumbledore once a week to go over what this strange power coursing through her veins was, and how to control it. Harry and Harmony didn't really know though. Hope thought it would be better if they didn't know about her power. It was to keep them safe. It was all to keep them safe.

Sera stood with Sirius on the platform, they were both in dog form, and Sirius had a pink leash around his neck. Sera didn't need one. Mostly because anybody who tried to get near her, got thrown into a wall. Her brothers learned that the hard way as they attempted to clip a matching pink leash with diamond studs to Sera. The walls were alright though. Maddie was trotting alongside Sera in her fox form, but was spelled to look like a little puppy. The three got a lot of stares as they trotted down the train station, Sirius more reluctant than the others, embarrassed of his pink leash and the looks that the remaining Marauders were sending him. Sera and Maddie teased him in his mind. He growled playfully at them both. They finally reached the train and Sirius and Sera pulled Harry and Harmony away. Maddie followed not soon after them.

Juliane and Bill pulled Hope to the side. "Oh I'm going to miss you so much." Juliane fretted over the teen.

"I'm going to miss you two also." Hope said looking at her adoptive parents. It was strange but amazing that in such a few short months, they had transformed into parental figures for the girl. She loved them both so much, and knew that if something happened to them, and her new little brother, she would be devastated.

"Promise to write. Don't be afraid to talk to us, and if you need anything, just touch your necklace." Bill said. "I have the third part to it." He held up his hand that had a ring on the thumb with a red gem.

"I promise. See you all soon." Hope said, giving them all a hug. She reached Rebel last, and as if sensing that she was leaving, the boy started to cry. "Oh don't cry Rebel. I'll be back by Christmas." Hope whispered, blinking back tears. She moved to the train, walking in and waving with the rest of her family until they were out of sight. Then, and only then, did Hope move to find a compartment.

Juliane lowered her hand and used it to wipe away a few tears. "Goodbye Hope." She whispered.
