Chapter 24

Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I haven't updated in so long. I was on a vacation, and didn't have that much time to write. I swear I'll do better! Anyways. Hamilton in New York tickets went up on sale today and I'm literally screaming right now. But here's the chapter.
                                                                                                  ~Emmy

After Juliane's talk with Hope, which ended in the both of them crying to each other, Juliane went to find Adria and Rebel, and Hope went to get ready for the day. "Dria! Dria!" Juliane called out as she stepped into the back yard, magically enlarged by Dumbledore for the dragons.

"Right here!" Adria called, stepping out from behind Nikio with Rebel in her arms.

"Give me my son." Adria sighed, and handed Rebel over unwillingly.

"Do you know when we're leaving?" Adria asked.

"No idea. Probably soon though. Anyways, how are you feeling?" Adria's stomach was ever growing, even though the bump was still small, it was more noticeable now than ever.

"A tad better. The morning sickness sucks like dragon dung, and I can't have any sort of greens or I end up throwing up in the shower." Juliane shot her friend a questioning look at the shower comment. "It's a long story, but to put it lightly, the first time I had spinach when I found out I was pregnant, I ended up getting sick in the shower and not the toilet. And the shower's farther away from the toilet so I still have no idea why I puked in the shower."

"Okay, moving on from that... Are you excited?"

"I'm so happy and excited to have my little Asher." Adria sighed happily, the thought of her child exciting her.

"You know the gender?!" Juliane exclaimed in a whisper shout.

"No. Not yet. But call it mother's intuition. I believe that my baby is a boy." Adria responded.

"I bet eleven sickles that your baby is going to be a girl. And when I win, I will laugh in your face." Juliane laughed holding out her free hand.

"Oh you are so on!" Adria exclaimed, shaking firmly.

"Did you two really just bet on my child?" Charlie asked, standing in the window.

"What do you think Charles. I need the money, and Juliane needs to be put in her place." Adria answered, giving Nikio a final pat before making her way to the door.

"I do not need to put my place!" Juliane exclaimed, trailing after Adria.

"Oh please Julie." Adria scoffed, pulling Charlie in for a quick kiss as she walked through the door. Juliane went to the table and sat down. "We both know that you're insane."

"Says the woman who owns a full grown dragon." Juliane smirked slightly. Adria's eyes narrowed, even though she knew that Juliane was right, she didn't want to admit it.

"You don't want to do this Juliane." Adria said, her eyes were challenging but had a bit of mischief behind them.

"Trust me Adria. I really do." Juliane smirked back. The two glared at each other before Rebel interrupted. He let out a loud cry, causing Adria to cover her ears, and Juliane to bounce Rebel up and down in her arms.

"The kid has a set of lungs I can see." Adria said after Juliane calmed him down.

"It's alright. Everyone has a flaw. His is just being extremely loud when he cries." Juliane smiled heading up the stairs. Adria trailed behind her chatting away. As soon as they were both in the room, the door was snapped shut, and locked with magic.

"What's wrong Jules?" Adria asked, lowering her wand.

"Me? Nothing. I'm fine. Why? Do I look nervous?" Juliane asked quickly, too quickly.

"Alright. What'd you do?" Adria asked, flopping on the bed. Juliane sighed, placing Rebel in his crib, and giving him his stuffed kneazle.

"Dumbledore gave us the okay on Hope's adoption." She said.

"Are you kidding?! That's amazing!" Adria exclaimed excitedly, jumping to her knees. It made Adria so happy that Juliane was getting her life back together. When she had met Juliane, it was hard for the two to communicate, but they still managed and became so close, they were like sisters. Even though Juliane was older. When Adria left Hogwarts early, Juliane was there, supporting her every step of the way. When Juliane got her voice back, Adria was so happy, she felt as if she could sing. It was a good thing that she didn't, because Adria couldn't sing for the life of her. When Juliane's father attacked her, Adria stayed at the hospital, day and night, until she woke up. Now, Juliane had adopted a child, and was going to adopt another, and Adria couldn't be happier.

"No. No. It can't be amazing. You're supposed to yell and scream at me not to do it." Juliane huffed.

"What do you mean?" Adria hopped down next to her friend, and put her head on Juliane's shoulder.

"I mean, what if Hope doesn't want us to adopt her? What if she laughs in our faces and then walks away? I can't deal with that if it happens." Juliane said, tears welling up in her eyes. Adria's bowtruckle, Quinn, climbed out of Adria's pocket and onto Juliane, wiping away the tears that fell.

"Jules, Hope would never do anything like that. Remember how excited she was when you brought it up in the first place?" Adria asked. It was true. When Juliane and Bill had told Hope that they wanted to adopt her, Hope had screamed to loud, Bill swore he heard a glass crack. Hope was so excited to be adopted, she ended up diving off of the cliff overlooking the home and right into the icy waters down below. That had been funny for the couple to watch.

"I know. But I can't help but think, 'what if she changes her mind?' You know. It seems that the worst things always seem to happen to me don't they." Juliane let out a forced chuckle.

"Jules." Adria sighed. It was then when she saw that all of the things that had happened to Juliane had finally taken their toll. Juliane looked scared, and beaten down, with massive dark circles under her eyes, that she had attempted to cover with makeup. It looked as if she hadn't slept for a week. She was thinner too, her eyes a tad sunken in. Not enough for anyone to notice, except for Adria apparently.

"What? I'm fine Dria. Don't worry about me." Juliane took a deep breath.

"You're clearly not fine Jules. I've known you since I was eleven. I know when you're lying. I'm surprised Bill hasn't noticed."

"Bill has to much going on to notice." Juliane tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear.

"Bill never has too much going on to not notice your problems. What happened? You can tell me anything." Adria placed a hand on Juliane's shoulder.

"My father is out there. He's escaped and he's out there. I can't deal with him finding me again. I just can't Dria. If he comes, and figures out I have a child, and now if Hope wants to get adopted, two children, he'll kill them both. I can't let him kill them both!" Juliane began to hyperventilate, the panic finally setting in. Anxiety and panic attacks had always been a problem for Juliane when she was younger. Both women had thought that they had stopped when Juliane left Hogwarts.

"It's alright Jules. You're safe, and perfectly fine." Adria assured her friend.

"No. No. I'm never safe with him out there Adria. Don't you see that?! I can't relax anymore without worrying about my father, my own flesh and blood, will kill me. That's not normal!"

"Okay. Okay. You're right. I don't understand, but I do know that there are too many people that love you, and will refuse to let you get killed. Me, Bill, Hope, the entire Weasley family, hell, even Dumbledore wouldn't let you die. You're too important to die." The two girl's conversation was cut off by a crashing in the living room.

"What was that. It better not be him. I swear if it's him." Juliane let out a whimper before grabbing her wand and making her way down the stairs. She entered the room, with Bill in front of her, both their wands up. As soon as Juliane saw the figures in front of her, her wand clattered to the ground.

"Wait. Jason? Is that you?"
