Fun Facts/Q&A/Sneak Peek

Welcome, as always, I have some fun facts to cheer you guys up about this story ending before I move on to the final goodbye.

Fun Facts

- Originally, Venom was going to be a storyline in this book, and the Reader would have recieved the symbiote instead of Peter, but I scrapped it in favor of an Easter Egg in the epilogue since I enjoyed the Venom movie so much and didn't want to make him a villain when he's more of an anti-hero

- Every time I got a comment about the Reader's hero name and Percy Jackson or the song, I sighed tiredly. That's fun.

- I was also going to put in a little cameo for Andrew Garfield and Toby Macguire, but I got rid of it in favor of the Into the Spider-Verse crossover. And boy am I glad I did that because I loved that storyline.

- I was totally winging the Endgame storyline, because I didn't have a script for it for so freaking long. I was going on memory a lot, and yet, I wrote some of my longest chapters ever while winging it.

- My favorite storyline from the series overall was probably the Memory Recovery Arc, because I love character development, and I loved arcs that are specifically for development.

Q&A

From dnnesy - What inspires you to write amazing stories?

Answer: Good fandoms and staying up till two in the morning, in all honesty. I absolutely love it when I'm watching a movie, and I think, "This would make an amazing fic. I could add in the Reader, and she would only add to the awesomeness." And of course, I'm most creative at two in the morning, the lack of sleep really helps me come up with good storylines.

From kentscoffee - How long have you been on Wattpad, and what's your story on how you got here? Did you find an anime fanfiction or something like that?

Answer: I've been on Wattpad for almost 4 years. I got on here because I wanted to read... I think it was Aphmau fanfiction. From there I wrote some awful stories, grew as an author, found out what X Readers were, and the rest is history!

From dnnesy - Why is the superhero name called Riptide?

Answer: I thought it sounded cool, lol.

From dnnesy - Can you give some writer tips?

Answer: Never compare yourself to another author. We all walk different paths of life, we all write a different way, and we all like different things. Never compare yourself to someone you'll never be, because it'll stop you from being you. (Lil' self promo, if you want some practical tips, check out my How to Write a Fanfiction story)

From lillibeana - Why did you start writing fanfiction?

Answer: I'd always imagined myself in different fandoms, and fanfiction was my way to share it with other people. In terms of reading it, I love seeing how people interpret fandoms, because everyone does it a little differently and it shows through their writing.

From Captain_Marvelous - Will you be writing anymore Marvel/MCU fanfictions?

Answer: I have a few in The Vault that I might publish one day, but I'm not sure. I'm still in love with Marvel and everything they're doing, but my writing focus has sort of shifted away from them into other fandoms. Who knows?

From dnnesy - What inspires you to write this?

Answer: Modern Marvel, the past Spider-Man movies, other fics, completely different fandoms, and my exhaustion at two in the morning.

From Captain_Marvelous - Why did you chose/inspired you for Y/N to have water powers?

Answer: It's a really interesting power with a lot of possibilities. And I'm obsessed with Avatar: The Last Airbender. So there's that.

From Elle_Alex - What would you say was the most memorable moment in this book in your opinion?

Answer: Tony's death for sure. It really impacted the plots and the reader's development, and I'm super proud of how I went about the lead up, the death itself, and what came after.

If anyone has any last minutes questions (don't feel pressured, lol), I'll be lurking in the comments for a few hours, so feel free to ask.

Sneak Peek

My next story is going to be a Stan Uris x Reader called Burn the Witch. It'll be published tomorrow (December 25th) going by EST. So if you live in a different time zone, the upload time might vary a bit. But I swear it'll be up. I'm super excited for this because the IT fandom is something I'm really enjoying, so enjoy the preview!

"Everyone thinks we're a fairytale. But they're wrong. There's always been witches in the world. There's magic all around us. And magic users can harness it, and do things you'd only imagine in your wildest dreams. It's a life I'd never trade... but witches aren't the only myths that are real."

Stan was listening, understanding, and that's what I needed. He asked, "What else is real?"

"Fairies, demons, nymphs, mermaids-"

"Vampires?"

I laughed, the first real laugh since the Losers Club split, "No. No vampires or werewolves. And the clown, he's something else entirely. I've never seen something like him before."

"What did you see?"

I could tell him now, he knew everything."Our history. What they did to the people they suspected knew magic. They... you, screamed at me."

"What did we scream?"

My answer came out in a whisper. I could still hear it. It was burned into my brain, constantly replaying in my ears, "Burn the witch."

Full of laughs, angst, Reddie, witchcraft, swearing (I can finally say "fuck"!), and- oh my god! Is that a Stranger Things crossover?! Burn the Witch is gonna be freaking amazing so please, please, tune in and read it tomorrow!!

Final Goodbye

This is rough. I'm writing this immediately after publishing the epilogue and I have no idea what to say because I have so much to get out.

Thank you guys. Thank you for your votes, comments, and just for reading in general. Whether you've commented on every chapter, or you've just lurked and never even considered letting me know you exist, thank you. This story wouldn't be half as good without you guys here to motivate me and keep me in shape.

Out of all of my stories, and all of the stories to come, this book will always hold a special place in my heart. This was really the first book that I took super seriously and wanted to make amazing for you guys. There's good original storylines, crossovers, headcanons, and character development that was all super experimental at first. I've grown so much as an author from the first chapter of Mutant and Proud to here. If you go back and compare the first chapter to the epilogue, you'd be able to tell.

Writing has given me such joy and filled me with so much warmth in times that are so hard and hopeless. It's an escape not only for me, but I'm sure for some of you as well. We've gone on this journey together, and that's what I love so much about sites like Wattpad and AO3. You guys are like family, therapists, and friends to me, and I love you all so freaking much.

So, if you ever feel the urge to rant about the newest episode of your favorite show, or cry about the C you got on your Spanish test, I'm right here, forever and always. Because it's the least I can do for the people who've made me feel like I'm worthy of such positivity and love. Never forget you guys, no matter how dark it seems, I love you, I'm here, and the darkness will give way to light someday.

I'm emotional so I'm going to wrap this up before I start crying. I love you, I hope to see you in Burn the Witch! If you want to see more of me and how insane I am in the real world (it gets weird guys), consider following me somewhere below! Each place has different, special content that I'm sure you'll enjoy. (Wow, I love giving a shameless plug after being so emotional)

Thank you for joining me in such a long journey where all I wanted to do was give Peter Parker the love he deserves! Never forget how amazing each and every one of you is, and I'll see you next time.
