Useless Missions

Ed's POV
I sighed as Al and I walked onto the train. I plopped down onto my seat and let out a breath. I grumbled under my breath, an annoyed look appeared on my face. "Brother? Whats wrong?" Al asked.

"I have to write Mustang's damn report." I replied. Al nodded in response, understanding my frustration. Our mission had been yet again a wild goose chase. Al handed me some paper and a pen. I chuckled softly. "Thanks Al." I said. Al nodded.

"No problem Brother." As I was working on my report, I heard a meow suddenly.

"Al." I stated. He seemed to freeze up.

"Ye-Yes Brother?" He replied.

"DID YOU SERIOUSLY STUFF ANOTHER CAT INTO YOUR ARMOR?!" I exclaimed.

"What could I have done? The poor thing was left alone on the street. I couldn't let it die Brother!" Al replied.

"When we get back to Central Al, you are going to get rid of that cat! Understand?" I questioned him. Al sighed.

"Your so mean Ed." Al muttered.

"You know, I could always take the cat, the windows always open." I declared.

"Brother! You wouldn't!" He exclaimed.

"You never know." I responded, innocently shrugging. Al sighed in defeat and I continued to work on my report.

Roy's POV
I placed my head on my desk and sighed. "Colonel? What's wrong?" Hawkeye asked.

"It's nothing Lieutenant. Just bored." I explained.

"I think I know what you could do Sir." Hawkeye began. I sat up.

"What is it?" I questioned her.

"Do your paperwork." My shoulders slumped down, and I rested my head on my desk.

"Hey! Colonel Bastard! We're back!" Fullmetal exclaimed. I looked at him and sat up.

"Didn't expect you to be back so soon Fullmetal. What happened? Did you hit your head and come back to make sure it didn't stop your non existent growing?" I asked. Fullmetal growled. I was only adding fuel to the fire.

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A SMALL GRAIN OF RICE THAT CAN'T BE SEEN WITH A MICROSCOPE BECAUSE HE'S SO SMALL?!" He yelled.

"That would be you Fullmetal. It's not like your brother is shorter than you, so I can't say anything to him about it." I said, with a shrug. Fullmetal seemed to fall silent.

"Lieutenant, Alphonse could you two leave me and Fullmetal alone for a secound?" I asked. They nodded and walked out. I walked towards Fullmetal. I took his report and placed it on my desk.

Ed's POV
Mustang walked back towards me. "You really need to learn to lighten up." He said. He pulled me towards him in a a hug.

"Mu-Mustang! Wha-What the hell?!" I exclaimed.

"Sh. Fullmetal. I'm helping you. This doesn't mean anything. So let me help you." He said quietly and placed a gentle kiss on my lips.

'Why won't my body move?! I want to run! Ugh! My brain won't corroperate with me!' I thought. He pulled away. I blushed and growled.

"That didn't mean a thing bastard." I grumbled. I heard Mustang laughing. "What now?!"I growled. He smugly smirked.

"Nothing. Just you Fullmetal." He replied. I growled and glared at him before I stormed out of Mustang's office in annoyance.

"Brother....? What happened? Are you alright?" Al asked. I nodded.

"Just fine. Mustang's being a bastard. As usual." I replied. Al nodded.

"Okay Brother." He sighed. I wasn't gonna let Al know about what happened.

'Why wouldn't I push him away?'
