Chapter 6
Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart.
Alia's P.O.V
There rarely comes a time in people's life when there dream comes true, no matter what kind of a dream it maybe and when it does come true, the joy is just beyond the universe.
After changing into some comfortable yet presentable formal dress we all headed downstairs to the function Hall where the announcement about the secret was going to be made.
That is when we realized the whole secret was planned for the bride, from the groom himself.
Destination wedding.
Yes, destination wedding. Apparently, the bride, since her teen years wanted a destination wedding in Agra and her reception in Mumbai, as her closest best friend shifted to Mumbai when they were 14.
I can literally feel the joy of the bride when her parents announced what the secret was followed by the mini explanation speech of Azhar bhai, the groom, seeing her I couldn't stop myself from making a silent prayer for her.
"May Allah bless her, their marriage and their married life." Afifa whispered, I was just about to say the exact same thing, I guess it's just the twin thing.
"ameen"
"ameen"
"ameen"
We replied in unison.
"this is just wayyy tooo cute man." I said dreamily, wishing for something as amazing and lovely as this.
"it's just a waste, tho." I heard the most irritating voice and instead of ignoring him, I turned around. Call it my reflex action 'cuz I wasn't thinking of responding the person I abhor the most.
"it's actually fine if you think that, it's actually normal for stingy person's to thing that way." I said with disgust, hatred, sarcasm and every possible negative emotions lacing my words.
"I am not stingy." he said, getting serious, but I can't care any less.
" 'I am stingy' said no stingy man ever." I said quoting I am stingy, and to my surprise he just turned around and walked away.
"that was unexpected." Aasia said, making me turn around to face her.
"I know right." Afifa agreed.
"I swear, did you guys see the change in his expression, he went from, all humour written on his face, to serious real quick." Hooriya said, making me think, what wrong did I say.
"did his behaviour effect you Alia?" Afifa asked, not really being able to understand her hidden meanings, I just shrugged my shoulder and said 'nah it was weird but I am glad he left'.
Even though she doesn't seemed satisfied, she let it slide.
What is going on in that tiny brain of her's?
Though that question was bugging me, I shrugged it off and threw it away in the subconscious part of my brain and enjoyed the mini celebration that was going on.
Apparently, we have to leave for Agra tomorrow morning, and we would be flying in the private jets.
Both the bride's side and the groom's side have 2 private jet each, so there isn't much of a problem there.
~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~
After the celebration was over we left the function Hall and headed to our respective rooms, changed into our pyjamas and headed to bed, the day replaying in my mind.
I won't lie, his behaviour was weird and it kind of did effect me, like maybe 'cuz it was unexpected or maybe 'cuz I think I've hurt him unknowingly, even tho I didn't mean to hurt him, I guess my words did hurt him.
And the thought of hurting someone is killing me.
Not being able to sleep, I got up.
Unlocking my screen, I saw two notifications, I checked the time, 3:07AM, making a mental note of replying them in the morning, I closed my phone.
Not being able to sleep, I went to washroom to make wudhu and prayed tahajjud.
Not knowing what to do, I decided to go to the garden area of the resort for a walk.
Grabbing my jacket and wrapping my hijab, I unlocked the door, carefully stepping out and making sure non of my relatives catch me, tip toeing with utmost care, I headed towards the elevator.
Seriously the elevators, sometime takes forever to come.
When the elevator finally arrived after the several hours, I stepped in, again making sure nobody saw me.
When the elevator reached the ground floor I stepped out relieved that I wasn't caught.
Yet. Added my subconscious mind, which did the work of scaring me and snatching the relieve I was feeling few seconds ago.
Shutting and ignoring my fear and the crazy heart beats of mine, I walked towards the exit of the hotel and made my way towards the garden area of the resort.
It's beauty at night is just breath taking, the night sky, the scent of the flowers, the silent atmosphere, the peace and calm environment, just makes me want to capture the moment and live it again and again.
Enjoying the moment and the peace that my mind had finally welcomed, I started walking towards the few table and chairs on the other side of the garden.
My steps halted and my whole body froze, when I reached the sitting area.
The mall guy was sitting there, even though he was facing me, he didn't see me, his eyes were closed, his chin resting on his palm and his elbow on the table.
He seems to be thinking of something, and when I was thinking of leaving he sighed.
I decided to act upon my thought and go back to my room, but the moment I turned around, he spoke.
"I see, the chicken is roaming around so late at night." and ladies and gentlemen, the jerk is back.
Any guilt I had for hurting him, vanished in thin air.
Turning back, I replied.
"well didn't know they had owls in the resort though."I said.
"so you agree that you are a chicken." he asked which didn't seem like a question from any angle.
"nope, but unlike me, it doesn't matter if you agree or disagree." I said and for a fraction of a second, I felt like he was impressed by the comeback.
"You wish." he said and walked away.
Did I just win the argument?
Staring at his retrieving back, I was having a mini victory party going on inside of me.
And when he was no where in sight, I did my victory dance and after my celebration was over, I sat on the chair and reminded what just happened.
It's so weird that, we have so many arguments whenever we meet and I never actually win any argument, either he would be forced to leave, or he would win but this time I actually won.
It's actually not at all a big deal but it was amazing, the weird part is, I feel like some connection with him, and despite feeling such connection, I don't know his name.
I don't know for how long I was sitting there, but when the fajr azan went off, I came back to the reality, how long was I sitting here?
I got up from the chair and headed towards my room.
Carefully walking into the hotel, I made my way towards the elevator. Praying to Allah that nobody is awake by now, I stepped into the elevator.
When the elevator reached the 10th floor I was just praying that nobody is standing outside waiting for the elevator.
Luckily the hallway was empty so I rushed towards my room, unfortunately when I was about to open the door, Aijaz taya stepped out of his room.
Not knowing what to do, I pretended as if I was leaving the room.
"Alia? What are you doing?" He asked walking towards me, and I turned a little to face him.
"I.. me... actually... yeah, I actually thought I should wake everyone up for fajr." Darn it, it's the worst excuse ever.
"You know you don't need to, right?" He asked arching an eyebrow.
Unable to think of something I just laughed awkwardly.
"Actually Aijaz taya, She just had a bad dream and wanted to see mom." Afifa said, coming out of nowhere, turning around towards her, I mouthed a thank you to which she nodded.
"What was so embarrassing in that Alia?" He asked me, to which I shrugged and laughed awkwardly.
"Anyways I am going for fajr and girls go pray fajr, Alia you can meet your mom after fajr, okay, now hurry up you shouldn't delay any prayer and always pray on time." He said and we both nodded our head and walked in.
"Where were you?" Afifa asked immediately after I closed the door.
"I just wanted some fresh air, so I went to the garden to get some fresh air." I replied walking towards the washroom to make wudhu.
"Oh and Afifa, thanks a lot for saving me." I said turning around .
"It's okay but the next time you decide to do any such act inform us and be careful." Afifa said.
"Exactly, please save us any heart attack when we don't find you anywhere." Aasiya said getting up from the sofa, I didn't realize she was there.
"Where is Hooriya?" I asked when I didn't spot her anywhere.
"Where else she can be? She is in the washroom" Aasiya replied and I groaned.
"She takes hours to come out." I complaint.
"I know, let's start packing till she comes out." Afifa suggested and we began our packing.
Guess it will be a fun trip and an amazing wedding.
