Virtuous, Lovely, or of Good Report
Lately I've been thinking a lot about all the good people who aren't members of the church. I live in a very Mormon community, so a lot of people I know are pretty hesitant to think much about other churches.
While I believe that this is the only church with all the truth, I know that others definitely have great people and good beliefs. There are amazing people to be found in any religion.
Personally, I think that if we act on what we truly believe to be right, and that can make others make good choices, this will make God happier than mechanically living church standards. One of my favorite musicians (Adam Young of Owl City) is a Christian, but not a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. But his influence has inspired me to do so much good and feel the spirit.
While we should always follow our church, we also need to be open to others and the good they do. Don't write someone off because they're, "not a member." You just might learn something from them that no seminary or Sunday school lesson could teach you.
To quote a favorite book, "You can find wise men in any nation and good men in any religion." Stay strong in your faith, but be willing to learn from other's beliefs.
