First person pov.

I sat at my desk writing to Congress. They kept telling us to advance on the British but we were not able. We had resorted to eating our horses. I was starting to get annoyed with them. They didn't want to believe me......for whatever reason.

"Alexander" I heard from behind me. It was Eliza. I felt a hand on my shoulder and one on my back.

I took off my glasses and turned around to face my wife. "Yes" I said. She looked at me blankly.

"You need to slow down" she said. I shook my head.

"Eliza you know I can't do that" I said. She nodded sadly. I took her hand and kissed it.

"I shall finish this page then join you" I said she nodded and walked out of the room. I turned back to my work my work was my life. They all said and they were right it was. I wrote most days and when I wasn't writing I was thinking about it.

Ok so this was literally the shortest thing I've every written but I really just want to introduce the characters I'm going to be using witch is quite a bit so I'm trying to go kinda fast. Anyway I hope you liked it. I have a very interesting idea for what I'm going to do. And how the characters are going to over lap each other. ☺️
