Special Chapter #6: The Boys Discover Fan Fiction, Specifically Wattpad~ >:3
There was one peculiar afternoon in which the boys were particularly bored. They each had their own laptops in which they were trying to find something to entertain them. They were each doing their own little thing, but wanted to try something different.
"I've seen up to date all of Hyuuga sensei's movies and the Prince of Fighting, so I'm not sure what to do?" Syo said. He sighed to himself, looking up the dates of the next movies and shows his idol would star in.
"Syo, wouldn't you like to see them again?" Otoya asked.
"I've seen them a bunch of times, but I'd really like to see the newest one which isn't coming until a few months," said Syo pitifully. "Plus it'd be nice to do maybe something different for a change."
"We could all read books. Why don't we go to the library?" Natsuki asked.
"Unfortunately the library's nearby are closed so we can't go take out books there, nor in our own library since they're repainting it," explained Tokiya while skimming through the internet.
"Well, who knows how else we'll kill time," sighed Ren. One of his hands supported his head while he scrolled through the laptop mindlessly with the other. His mind suddenly thought of something and he soon proceeded to go into a certain website.
That's when they heard peals of laughter coming from three boys.
"Hey, Taiyou, Francis and Shane, what are you guys laughing about?" Otoya asked curiously. The rest tuned in, also curious about their random outburst.
"We were just reading a story on Wattpad," Taiyou said nonchalant. He wiped the tears from his eyes.
"W-Wattpad?" Everyone questioned aloud.
"Yes, Wattpad is a site where one can create all sorts of stories and publish them for others to read," said Francis. He noticed how attentive the boys became at once.
"Y-You c-c-can also read o-other people's stories," Shane said.
"Plus it's a really fun way to meet new people over the world and find things in common with them!" Taiyou said at last.
"You have to make an account!" The three boys exclaimed.
"Actually, I already have one," said Ren as he turned his laptop over to show everyone.
"Jinguji, when did you get such an account?" Masato asked, perplexed.
"I made one a while ago, and used it to read a couple of romance novels," Ren said. He leaned back and stretched his arms. "It's a really great website for finding fan fiction and has a variety of genres," he added.
"'Fan Fiction?' What's that?" Natsuki asked.
"They're just what they sound like. It's when someone who is a fan of a show, anime, novel, movie, and or whatever would like to write a story that revolves around that said obsession if you will," responded Francis.
"For instance, you can create or find a story where you can be included in the story, or in other words, a reader insert," Ren said.
"You mean to tell me that you can even find stories where you are apart of Prince of Fighting?!" Syo exclaimed incredulously.
"O-Of course," Shane said with a timid smile. Syo's eyes sparkled, and then he said, "Well, it's a start, but I definitely want to be apart of the Prince of Fighting series one day with Hyuuga-sensei or at least work with him. He's so cool!" Syo said, allowing his own secret fanboy to come out slightly.
"I think I've heard of the term all too well," said Tokiya, remembering the times he performed as Hayato.
"Ehh? How so Tokiya?" Otoya asked, genuinely curious.
"Did Ichi look up some fanfiction with Shay by any chance~?" Ren teased, causing Tokiya to blush. "No, i-it's not like that." He looked at the floor, and then back to his screen, only eavesdropping on the conversation.
"Well, if anything, I think you should all take a shot at writing fanfiction," said Ren smirking slightly. Most of the boys blushed madly. "Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?" Syo said, his mind already flipping out.
"Why not? What do you think I'm suggesting Ochibi-chan?" Ren asked.
"Don't call me that," Syo growled, crossing his arms. "And don't dodge the question."
"I think you should all try it out and get a feel for that style of writing," said Francis.
"Yeah, who knows? It might be fun and it can be helpful by inspiring you all," said Taiyou with a grin.
"Then let's get started," Otoya said, slightly more encouraged than the others.
Everyone created their own account and started browsing the books found in the large selection of Wattpad. They were all quite intrigued by some of the features.
"This is also a great way to write and collect your lyrics if you think about it," said Tokiya, already composing a song on his account.
"That's a great idea Tokiya-san," responded Masato. He too created a drafted story and started writing poems, his feelings pouring into the words he wrote. He subconsciously blushed as he typed away.
"Natsuki, can you please stop spamming my message board with the Piyo-chan song?" Syo asked, irritated.
"But Syo-chan, you should have the lyrics on your wall, it'd be a nice touch," said Natsuki while smiling. "You're too obsessed with Piyo-chan," remarked Syo. Syo shook his head as he saw the Piyo-chan background and the profile picture Natsuki had of himself wearing his normal Piyo-chan gear.
"Woah, I got some followers!" Otoya exclaimed as he looked at the notifications he was receiving.
"Great job Otoya!" Taiyou said with a thumbs up. "Did you post anything?"
"No, I was just clicking the stars on books and then I got some messages saying 'Thanks for the votes.'"
"Oh, votes are like liking chapters or parts," said Taiyou. "They probably noticed you liking them and wanted to follow you."
"That's so nice of them! I'm going to follow them back," said Otoya with a smile, his cheeks tinted a light pink. Everyone smiled at Otoya just being Otoya.
"Would you guys be willing to read some stories I wrote?" Ren asked while smirking. Everyone turned to look at the long haired boy.
"Jinguji, what have you been up to?" Masato asked while cocking an eyebrow.
"I've only been writing some lovely stories." Ren looked at some notifications and clicked it and looked up to meet with Francis' eyes. Everyone else noted the sign of a notification and clicked it and found Ren's story.
"I decided that I would tag the others so that they can see their respectful stories, or 'one-shots,'" said Francis.
"What is the meaning of these one-shots?" Tokiya asked with a blush. He noticed the title of the chapter.
"I was having fun and wanted to write some form of fanfiction if you will Ichi," answered Ren. "I was about to tag you all but Francis beat me to it."
"I read them all and I have to say they aren't half bad," responded Francis. The other boys started reading their respectful one-shots and started blushing madly. "I-I-I'm really bold here," Otoya noted, his face matching his scarlet hair and eyes.
"I-I'm not sure how to describe this story," said Syo as his face also reddened. He couldn't hide the smile that was forming on his face.
"Well, it's definitely romantic," responded Francis. He laughed as he saw the boys' faces redden. "I believe Ren has pictured you all well. You may want to aspire to be like your story selves who are more open and such. It's definitely not something I can't correct, being a romantic flirt myself."
"Francis, you would help us?" Otoya asked with sparkling eyes.
"Yeah, I'd say you'd be a great teacher seeing how you're like Ren but nicer," said Syo, already holding back his laughter once he saw the face Ren made. "Are you calling Druitt better, Ochibi-chan?" Ren asked, feigning hurt.
"Cut it out with the nickname, and sure," said Syo.
"Well I can certainly help you win over Moonlight's heart quicker," stated Ren with a huff. "You can quite clearly see that with this one-shot."
"Unfortunately for you Ren, I've been doing some one-shots too."
"Y-You too Francis?" Shane asked, surprised.
"Yes, I tried it out after seeing Mother Dearest writing stories on here while posting her art work," responded Francis truthfully.
"Wait, did you write some of Shayume and Mari and I?" Taiyou asked excitedly. He knew he couldn't see Marigold at the moment, but he'd at least like to read a story with where he's with his girlfriend in a story format. Shane blushed red, thinking of Akiyume. Little did he know, as well as everyone else, Akiyume was peering into their world at the moment and eavesdropped curiously, her cheeks pink.
"Why yes, as a matter of fact I do," responded Francis. "Here's the story." He showed the two his story filled with short stories of everyone and the different ships. The other boys meanwhile were watching, surprised at the conversation.
"Wait, so this means that Moonlight, Shay and Musical have accounts on here too?" Syo asked, amazed.
"Yup! They do," responded Taiyou. "They also use Wattpad frequently." (Would this count as breaking some sort of wall? XD)
"What are their usernames???? I'd like to follow Mus-chan and see what she has on her account," said Natsuki with a big smile plastering his face.
"S-So you're meaning to tell us that they also write these fanfictions?" Masato questioned, surprised. His face flushed as he thought of the possibilities.
"Actually, they don't have that much going on their accounts but they're fairly new, but not very new," said Francis.
"M-Musical and S-Shay both have an art b-book," said Shane.
"That's interesting, I'd like to see Potato girl's drawings now," responded Tokiya with a crooked smile. Then an idea popped into Taiyou's head. "Tokiya, you should stalk Shay's account," Taiyou said and snickered at his own idea.
"Why do you say stalk?" Tokiya asked.
"Try it, here's her account," Taiyou said and sent Tokiya Shay's account name. Tokiya started looking at her account and his eyes widened. "Her message board is very....random," he said at last. "Their message boards can be like that," Taiyou said while laughing. "It's fun posting random stuff, try it. You should surprise Shay."
"Alright, but what do I write down?" Tokiya said, clicking on the box to write a message.
"Say 'I poop you.'"
Tokiya looked questioningly at Taiyou who only ushered him on. Tokiya shook his head and did it for the heck of it.
"Fran-chan, can you tell me what's Mus-chan's username?" Natsuki asked.
"It's MusicalDragon," Masato said without looking up from his screen.
"How did you figure that out Masa-chan?" Natsuki asked.
"I got the hang of this website and looked under Francis-san's follower's list and supposed that was her account and read her bio and placed two and two together," Masato responded matter-of-factly.
"Wow, Masato could be a potential stalker," said Francis surprised. Masato blushed and said, "I prefer not to think of it like that. I just inferred some ideas and figured out what Musical-san's account was since I was curious."
"Thank you Masa-chan!" Natsuki said.
"Masa, do you by any chance know which one is Moonlight's account?" Otoya asked timidly while blushing.
"Yes, I do. It's Moonlight123345," said Masato.
"Yeah, Masato can be a stalker or a hacker," Francis concluded.
"He's definitely a stalker since he has the tendency to spy on people sometimes," said Ren while snickering at some old memories that popped into his head.
"Again, I'm only able to know this by inferences. And silence Jinguji, I just happened to pass by and observe involuntarily."
"Wait, she has a background of Otoya and I?" Syo said. He blushed, and smiled. I didn't think that she'd have a picture of me on her Wattpad wall, he thought to himself. Otoya also thought the same and smiled, his mind wandering off.
"What are you thinking of Otoya?" Ren asked while placing his hands behind his neck. Otoya blushed and immediately said, "N-Nothing."
"Just put your emotions into words and write a fanfiction, it'll make you happy," said Ren, already having an idea of what Otoya was imagining. Otoya was bashful, but he mustered up the courage to do so. "Ok, I'll do it." He started typing up a cute story that revolved around him and Moonlight, the large smile on his face never fading. Syo started doing the same, thinking that that would be a great way for him to make something that would keep his mind busy. Little by little each of the boys started writing their own fanfictions that they kept as drafts.
The girls walked into the room and noticed most of the boys typing away. Shay peered over Tokiya's screen and immediately recognized the format of Wattpad. The girls' presence was still unnoticed by everyone in the room.
"YOU GUYS HAVE WATTPAD ACCOUNTS?!" She yelled. Everyone jumped and most of the boys writing fanfiction either slammed their laptops shut or switched to another tab.
"Why didn't you tell us this???" Moonlight asked, intrigued at the new piece of information.
"They just made their accounts," Francis responded.
"So that explains a lot of things," said Musical, remembering the sudden spam she was getting. The two girls agreed.
"So Tokiya, you actually wrote that message on my feed???" Shay asked, looking down at Tokiya. "Taiyou suggested that," said Tokiya with a blush. "Taiyou, you know that I have enough poop on my feed," Shay said as she crossed her arms. "Though I don't mind that message," she added while smiling. Tokiya looked up and noticed Shay's face change. "DID YOU SEE MY DRAWINGS?!"
"I did peek through them, or as you'd say, stalked through them," said Tokiya. "Tokiya's learning how to stalk, that's so wonderful," said Shay and hugged the boy. Tokiya chuckled and said, "I'm glad that you weren't alarmed by me taking a look."
"Say Moon-chan, I like the picture you added of Syo and I on your wall," said Otoya with a blush. Moonlight blushed and smiled, saying, "Thanks Otoya, I'm glad you did. I thought that it would be cute since I took a cute picture of you two and combined it on there."
"T-Thanks Moonlight," said Syo. "I see you really like reading stories relating to Disney also."
"Y-Yeah, it's fun reading them," said Moonlight. "Have you two found things to read?"
"W-Well, kinda yeah."
"That's great! What have you two been reading?"
"I was looking at some music related books and voting on them," Otoya answered truthfully. He preferred not to mention the fanfiction he was working on previously.
"I was going to search for some Prince of Fighting fan fiction," said Syo. He wasn't really lying, since he was doing that before Ren decided to speak up about the stories he wrote. Moonlight sat down between them and said, "Well can I see your username's so I can follow you two?"
"Sure!" The two boys said. While they were sharing their usernames with the pink eyed girl, Musical walked over to Francis. "Mother, you should know that Masato over here figured out your username by himself. He could be a potential mastermind of sorts." Musical turned her curious gaze over to Masato, who blushed and said, "I was simply curious when Francis-san mentioned that you had an account. I'm sorry if I was intruding on your privacy or anything Musical-san."
"It's okay Masato, though it's sort of easy to figure out mine when you see my name on there," Musical said with a laugh. "Plus I don't blame you for being curious. So you were the one liking my art book's chapters. And I assume Na-chan over here was the one also commenting and then posting some things on my message board as well."
"Your drawings are so cute Mus-chan, and I wanted to write on your message board," said Natsuki while beaming at the short girl.
"Thanks Na-chan! I'm glad you liked them," she said. She laughed, remembering the comments she saw and the messages on her board that had Piyo-chan related messages.
"So did you two write anything yet?" Musical asked curiously.
"First Ren-chan and Fran-chan showed us some fanfictions he wrote of all of us and then Ren-chan encouraged us to write some stories ourselves," said Natsuki. Musical gasped slightly and the boys looked at Natsuki, nervous of what the girls would think.
"Oh really?" Musical said, blushing. She was aware of what Francis wrote but she didn't know that Ren had written stories as well. Shay and Moonlight thought the same.
"Since when did Ren write these stories?" Shay wondered.
"A-Apparently a w-w-while ago," said Shane.
"You should read them, they're good," said Taiyou while offering his laptop for the girls to read the stories. They immediately began reading and the boys were on the edges of their seats, slightly embarrassed. The girls' reactions were similar to the boys but some let out a few squeals here and there.
"Ren, these stories are so fluffy!!!" Shay commented. She went over to Tokiya and glomped him, saying, "I really loved that one-shot of us." Tokiya smiled and said, "I'm glad you also liked it."
"You're making me fangirl Ren," Moonlight said while trying to maintain her composure. Otoya and Syo blushed, happy to see Moonlight's positive reaction to the stories. They thought that she looked adorable the way she was pretty much jumping up and down and trying to keep herself calm.
"It was too flipping cute, I don't know what to do," Musical said while trying to cover her face and therefore trying to hide her blush. Natsuki giggled and hugged Musical, spinning around with her and called her cute while Masato blushed, thinking her reaction was adorable to himself.
"I'm happy to hear that I've satisfied you three ladies," said Ren while smiling. "It was a pleasure writing them. I'll continue to write some more. I assume everyone will be pleased with such information."
"Please do!" The three girls almost yelled and laughed.
"Now what did you guys write?" Musical asked curiously.
And the boys became bashful.
Lemme end it there at this sort of cliffhanger in a way XD you guys can imagine what the fanfictions they wrote XD Moonlight helped with the idea of the boys writing fanfiction, so props to her for giving me this idea that sounded cool and funny XD I hope you enjoyed this randomness, and I'll hope to keep writing~! Till then, Adieu~!
