Special Chapter #5- Braids and Ponytails!
~Third Person POV~
The day seemed to be just another ordinary day. The girls had finished all of their work and were in the gardens along with some of the boys. Shay-chan was playing around with Kuppuru along with Nanami, and Musical was resisting herself from petting the black cat she knew to be Cecil.
Moonlight had fallen asleep after reading one of her favorite books. She had been deeply inmersed in it that she didn't notice herself nodding off. It was then that she leaned onto Otoya's shoulder who was also coincidentally falling asleep to his music with his headphones still on. He felt a pressure on his shoulder and turned to see Moonlight fast asleep, her hands just barely clutching the book. He felt his face slowly heat up, and felt the stares of his friends. Musical surreptitiously took a load of pictures on her phone and giggled softly to herself. Nanami was smiling all knowingly towards the pair, and held her own urges to squeal. Otoya decided to shrug it off, ignore his bashfulness, and carefully wrapped an arm around Moonlight. "She seems quite tuckered out huh," Otoya remarked softly while looking at Moonlight's peaceful complexion.
"Yeah, she's been reading that book nonstop, it's got her hooked," Shay-chan responded while moving the string she had with her to the side, making Kuppuru chase it.
"I relate with her," Musical commented while stretching. She decided to lay on the grass and relaxed her limbs, thinking about what to do. She looked to the side and spotted a certain bluenette next to a dark haired boy. The bluenette was concentrated on some fairly large sketchpad with a paintbrush in hand. The boy beside him was busy jotting something down in his journal. With her curiosity peaked, she stalked over to the boys and walked behind the two. "Hey Masato and Tokiya, what 'cha peeps doing~?"
Both appeared to have jumped and tried to cover their respectful work, and turned to look at the brunette. "I-I'm painting something Musical-san," Masato stammered while trying to cover his painting. "And I'm simply writing something down. I'll admit, you shocked both of us," Tokiya said while holding his closed journal. Masato simply nodded, a blush dusting his cheeks.
"Awws, can you two tell me??"
"I-I'm afraid I can't at the moment," Masato replied hesitantly. "It's not finished yet."
Tokiya looked left and right and whispered close to Musical. "I'll show you only if you promise not to tell anyone."
Musical's eyes brightened up and said, "Alright! I promise!!"
Tokiya took another glance and then ushered Musical over. Musical read through and gasped, squealing inside. "Oh my gosh this is amazing!!!" Tokiya smiled slightly and said, "Now don't go around saying anything until I say it myself, Capisce?"
"Got it!!" Musical had a strong urge to tell her friends, but knew she promised and she was going to keep that promise. She went around the bench and sat in another adjacent to the two boys. She found herself just observing and saw that Masato continued to stroke the painting he was currently working on with his brush. Her eyes flickered over to the bluenette's hair and she felt an overpowering urge to touch his hair. It looks so soft~, Musical mused to herself. She noticed a petal flying and land gently on his head. The brunette took this as a chance to touch his hair.
"Masato, you have a little something in your hair, let me get it for you!"
Masato merely looked up from his work, having been lost in his thoughts and only noticed Musical reaching out towards his face. He rose his eyebrows and felt his face flush. Soon Musical ran her fingers through his hair and blushed slightly. After filling her curiosity, she removed the petal and showed Masato. "A petal was in your hair," she stated innocently.
Masato sighed, and said, "Thank you Musical-san, I appreciate it."
The quiet boy noticed that Musical was staring at him, and started to feel bashful. He thought that she looked lost in thought and saw her jump up. "Hey Masato, I'm about to ask something weird and random." He blinked and nodded, encouraging her to go on.
"Would you let me by any chance braid your hair?"
Masato was slightly taken aback, but softened his gaze. "Go ahead."
Musical squealed and quickly went behind Masato's head. Masato almost naturally leaned his head back, allowing Musical to have complete control over his head. "Thank you Masato! I'm sorry if that sounded weird, I just really like doing braids and normally don't have people around to let me braid their hair."
"It's alright. You know my little sister Mai?"
Musical nodded, but remembered that she wasn't facing Masato so she hummed "yes."
"She tends to like braiding my hair as well, and asks me to braid her hair at times."
"That's awesome, maybe you can braid mine as well when I'm done," Musical chirped as she continued to braid the soft blue strands.
"Your hair is really soft and easy to work with! How do you get it to be so soft?"
Masato chuckles and says, "I just use shampoo and conditioner, nothing special."
While Musical was finishing the braid, she had already caught the attention of the others.
"Look, Musical-san's braiding Hijirikawa-san's hair," Nanami pointed out. She turned around expecting to see Kuppuru but saw that the cat was already dashing off to somewhere else. While Nanami followed Kuppuru, Shay walked over to the bench where Tokiya and Masato were.
"Woah, that's a nice braid you're doing," Shaylah commented as she walked over and rested her head on the top of the bench close to Tokiya's head. She looked over to the dark haired boy who shut his journal and looked beside him and saw the raven haired girl. That's when she also got an idea.
"Hey Tokiya, do you know how to do braids?" Tokiya raised an eyebrow.
"Do you want me to braid your hair?"
"Would you pleeeeeaaaase do it?"
Tokiya sighed, then said, "Sure, com'ere."
Tokiya scooted over while Shaylah hopped over and sat in the space Tokiya made for her. She turned around, and Tokiya seemed to pause, thinking of what he wanted to try to do.
"I'm ready, Tokiya!!"
"I'm thinking," he replied. Shaylah laughed and said, "What braid do you want to do?"
"I'm not sure..."
"How about the old fashioned simple braid everyone knows how to do?" Shaylah suggested.
"And that would be?"
"The three stranded braid," Masato replied next to Tokiya. Tokiya looked over to his friend and saw him make motions in the air. "Ah, so that's how it's done?" Tokiya questioned. Masato nodded.
Tokiya coughed, embarrassed at how he wasn't much of an expert with braids, and started by separating Shaylah's hair into three sections as he's seen people do. He recalls seeing a classmate do a braid before class, and tried to do the same. Unfortunately, it wasn't as neat as he wanted the braid to be.
When he finished, he looked at it, and was surprised that it didn't come out as bad as he thought it would initially.
"How does it look?" Shaylah asked while turning to face Tokiya, having heard him drop his hands to his lap. Tokiya smiled, and said, "You make that braid look amazing." Shaylah blushed and said, "Thanks Tokiya, that's sweet of you to say. Wait, did the braid not come out good?" Tokiya took out his cell phone and asked Shaylah "Here, I can show you. Can I take a picture of it?" Shaylah nodded, and turned around so Tokiya could snap a picture. Then the dark haired boy showed Shaylah the picture and Shaylah inspected the braid. "Was this your first time ever braiding?"
Tokiya sweatdropped, saying "Yeah, pretty much."
"I'd say it's pretty good, slightly messy, but you're getting there!"
"Thanks, Shay-chan."
Shaylah beamed up at the boy, causing him to blush at her smile.
Moonlight appeared to start waking up and felt something wrap around her, and opened her eyes fully. She noticed that her two best friends were absent and looked over to find Otoya who appeared to be asleep. She blushed, and felt her inner fangirl want to burst. She tried to contain it, for the sake of the possibly tired boy she loves, and tried breathing in and out. It appears as though her movements managed to wake up the red head, whose eyes fluttered open and met with Moonlight's rosy pink ones. Immediately reading the situation, he removed his arm and stammered, "S-Sorry Moon-chan, I-I hope I didn't make you feel uncomfortable or weird you out." His face was as scarlet as his eyes.
"No it's fine, I appreciate your actions." While the pair were a blushing mess, a tall blonde came running shouting "YOU GUYS ARE SO CUUUUTE!!!" It was obviously Natsuki, and the said man glomped Moonlight and Otoya, almost suffocating them with his strong grip. "Oi Natsuki, let 'em go!! You're asphyxiating them!!" Syo yelled while running to break Natsuki apart from them. "T-Thanks Syo," the two students heaved out, clearly feeling a tad bit dizzy.
"Natsuki! You can't just go smothering people with your hugs!" Syo lectured the tall blonde.
"Sorry," Natsuki said while laughing and scratching his cheek with his index finger. He scanned the area and found a certain brunette. He quickly started running, ready to glomp the girl.
"Ok, I'm do-- KYA!" Musical tried saying but squealed when she was suddenly glomped.
"Hello Mus-chan!!" Natsuki beamed while hugging the brunette tightly. Musical giggled while blushing, and lifted her head upward to see the tall blonde.
"So what are you doing Mus-chan?" Natsuki asked curiously.
"I was just finishing Masato's braid," Musical responded whilst trying not to stammer at the closeness of the blonde boy.
"Ooohh, I want to see!" Natsuki released the hug, and went to see Masato who was already staring back at him. Masato had two braids on the side of his face which then joined together on the back of his head where they were tied up in a ponytail. Natsuki gasped and immediately hugged Masato, saying, "Masa-chan looks so cute!!!!"
Masato sweat dropped and tried to wriggle out of Natsuki's arms. "Natsuki-san, p-please let me go if you will."
"Na-chan, if you want I can braid your hair too!" Musical offered. Natsuki released Masato and grasped Musical's hands quite energetically. "You will?! I'd love to have my hair braided by you Mus-chan!"
While Musical went to braid Natsuki's hair, Moon-chan and Shay-chan watched, giggling at the previous scenario. Syo simply facepalmed while shaking his head. "At least I know that Musical will keep the guy busy for a bit."
He plopped down by one of the benches and rubbed his forehead, enjoying the feeling of now relaxing.
Moonlight looked curiously over Syo, and sat down next to him. "What happened before you came here with Natsuki-kun?"
Otoya, and Shay-chan sat poised across from Syo and Moonlight, their attention focused on the blonde.
"Well, we just came from the movies since this idiot wanted to go see some movie involving Piyo-chan, and we ended up being there for 2 hours, 4 if you count the movie I wanted to see of Hyuga-sensei. It was worth it, but at the same time I had to keep watch over Natsuki to make sure he didn't try to do something insane, knowing him."
"Oh, I see, then again, he is Natsuki," Moonlight commented while remembering the other side of the normally cheerful boy.
"If anything, now you're able to relax right now. Who knows, you might get your hair braided," joked Otoya while pointing over to where the other boys and brunette were.
"Yeah, though we've yet to braid Moon-chan's hair~," Shay sung, looking at a now blushing Moonlight.
"Oi, Moon-chan, do you want me to braid your hair?" Syo offered, glancing at Moonlight.
"S-Sure."
And that day everyone had some form of a braid. They might have received some looks from other fellow classmates, but it was an incomprehensible situation where they had relinquished their strong feelings of boredom.
Don't ask me why I wrote such a random chapter XDXDXDXD it's best to see this as a random special chapter where you peeps were bonding I think XD
