Chapter 10- Working on the Songs!! In Moonlight's Group~
~Third person's POV~
The group of people went to their respective classes, and noted that the teachers placed a sign on their doors, saying "Good morning class!/Ohayo-pu~ class!! (The other being from Ringo's of course XD) Tsukimiya/Hyuga and I decided that you all should take the time to keep on working on your projects and should go to one of the many practice rooms to practice, and keep on making your plays!! So, we cancelled class, but want you to go to these practice rooms, and we will be inspecting all the practice rooms to make sure you are all working on the project. Please sign your name and the time you came below" and under the note was a sign in paper. The boys and girls signed their names, and then headed off to find their group mates.
~Syo's POV~
"Oh, so our classes are cancelled, " I commented. "I guess I'll call Otoya, since I don't have Moonlight's phone number," and went to dial Otoya. "Oi, Otoya, are you with Moonlight? Ok, let's meet up and go to a practice room. Ok, I'll meet you two there"
I hit the "end call" button, and started heading to my designated place.
I arrived at the practice room where I already hear two familiar voices inside. I knock on the door, and see Moonlight's face after the door in our way is moved to the side.
"Hey Syo!," she greets me with a close eyed smile.
"H-Hey, Moon-chan," I stutter slightly and facepalm at myself. Am I seriously still embarrassed about this morning?! A flashback occurs, and I blush furiously.
"Hey, Syo, your cheeks are red," Moonlight pointed out, and touched one of my cheeks. I shake my head and said, "I-I'm fine, can I come in?" It was her turn to blush out of embarrassment and said, "Yeah, sorry about that, come on in!"
I entered the room, and saw Otoya already seated down with his guitar in hand. Shoot!! I forgot my violin, I should have brought it with me. With a sigh, I enter, feeling slightly unprepared.
"Ok, so we pretty much have our play done, we just need to come up with some lyrics and music for this big moment in the play, where the two princes try to obtain the hand of the princess," stated Moonlight and looked at us when she said the two princes.
"Ok, so I'm the more serious, determined and romantic prince, while Otoya here is the sweet, somewhat childish prince, right?," I say while looking through our scripts.
"Yup!," replied Otoya with a smile on his face. Well, at least we know he's got his part down, I thought in my mind.
"Uwaah, but I'm not that great at writing lyrics," whined Otoya, and looked to Moonlight while saying, "What would you suggest for lyrics, Moon-chan?"
Moonlight was deep in thought, and said, "Well, here you two are battling for the princess' hand in marriage, while she is unable to decide who she can be with. So, maybe you guys are describing yourselves and how you met each other."
That's when she went to the piano, and started playing a melody, and sang (get ready for some cheesy, and probably bad lyrics on my part XD it's going to be kinda freestyle I guess, you can tell me what you think n.n):
My dear princess, won't you choose me
I have been with thee
Through thick and thin
It was I who met you by the lake
As it was written by fate
Come with me and you shall see that I am the best choice for you.
I understand you, I know how to treat you right
You know that I would fight for you, yes, fight!
She paused while she kept on playing and said, "And this would be your part Otoya," and sang once more with her sweet voice:
Darling princess,
Don't listen to his words and think less,
Of me, your kindly prince who had wonderful adventures with you
Has thou forgotten of me??
Can't you see, I want to be with thee
My heart wrenches at the thought of your loss
Please choose me, I might not go on like this
This smile smiles for you, this voice sings for you, these lips exist to kiss you with bliss
She then stops, a blush on her face, and lets the last notes of the piano ring and fade into the air.
I must have been in a trance all the while, because I finally found the words to speak, but could only muster out to say, "Beautiful.."
She seems to stammer when she says, "T-Thank you."
Otoya said, "WOW!!! Moon-chan that was amazing!!! Did you think of this just now??!!," and got close to her face. A little too close for my liking...
"Oi, Otoya, not too close, you've got the poor girl blushing for Pete's sake," I say, my tone sounding slightly angry, while placing my hand on his shoulder. He jumps and says, "S-Sorry," and scratches his neck while laughing nervously.
Moonlight waves her hands, and says "N-No, it's alright! I'm glad you like the lyrics I just came up with."
"Well, they definitely are good. We should write them down before we forget!" I say and go to get a pencil, and jotted down the lyrics.
"Ok! We should keep on going!!," the brunette says, and I say, "Yosh!"
While writing more lyrics and singing them out to Moonlight, I can't help but feel like I'm actually singing to her. I feel a tingling sensation in my stomach as I think about the words more and more.
~Otoya's POV~
So we've got the lyrics down, and we're now practicing and singing the words and adding music to them. I can't help but feel completely passionate about my words. We're going over the scene where I'm with Moonlight and we're about to sing through the scene I meet Moonlight who "ran away," being unable to choose between the two princes, and I try to console her.
"Silence those tears
Which cascade in their depression
And look up
To see your prince who's here to protect as long as thou wishes
The breeze shall take away your sadness
So quiet my little girl
Heed my pleas
For those tears poison me
And plague me as well as my foe
So please, don't go
If thou struggles, we shall pull through all"
I walk over to Moonlight who pretends to fake weep, and see her actually crying. She's a really good actress! This is both good, and bad, since her face saddens me, and I feel like the poetic words that fall from my mouth in song were truly made to console her. It makes me not want to ever see such an expression befall her face. I naturally feel the urge to get close to her face, and am stopped by Syo, who says, "Otoya, I think that's enough."
I shake out of it and say, "Sorry, I guess I was too in the scene, hehe"
Moonlight sniffed and wiped her fake tears, and said, "It's okay Otoya, that just shows that you are really in character," and flashes a bright smile at me. My heart starts speeding up, and I smile as well.
That's when the door opens, and Hyuga-sensei comes in, and says, "I'm here to check on you three. What do you have so far?"
Syo says while smiling, "We're pretty much done, and we're now practicing the moments with the music we finished making today!," and hands Hyuga-sensei the papers to the play with the lyrics. The teacher skims the first few pages and looks up, saying, "Not bad. Alright, you three seem like you're on the right track. I'll leave you to it."
And, we practiced on and on. While practising, I noticed that Syo was also giving his all, and I decided I would also do my best for this project. He also seemed to be looking at me and be thinking about something. I wonder what? Well, I was also looking at Moonlight a lot, and thought she was perfect for the role as the princess. I also felt like I was really apart of the play, and I was a prince trying to gain the heart of Moonlight. I try to shake that thought away, but it kept coming up, persistent in consuming most of my mind.
We practiced a lot, and only stopped for lunch, and then resumed practising.
Hyuga-sensei would come in here a good amount of times later at random times to see how we'd act, and give us a few pointers, since he himself is an actor.
We were pretty tired after practising most of the day. It was late. We decided that we would go to our own rooms, and texted the others to make sure that we agreed on sleeping at our own rooms, and it seemed like they all finished as well, and were now practising.
"Well, I think we should call this a wrap," said Moonlight, and stretched.
"Yup, I think we've got quite the play," added Syo, and I said, "Definitely, I can't wait to perform it for the whole class with you two!!"
"Ok, well we should probably go to our rooms," said Moonlight, and I said along with Syo at the same time, "I can walk you to your room!"
We looked at each other weirdly, probably thinking the same thing: I offered first!!
Moonlight giggled, and said, "Thanks guys, why don't we all go?"
We agreed, and thus accompanied Moonlight to her room. Once we got there, she said, "Thanks you two!!," and hugged the two of us. I was surprised at first but then hugged back, and saw Syo do the same with a tint of red covering his face. Could Syo and I both have similar feelings for Moonlight?
That stuck to my mind as the two of us went to our own rooms.
Moonlight-chan's part is done!! Next shall be Shay-chan's and then mine! I hope you guys like it n.n and what did you think of the lines that will be apart of the play? Are they too cheesy? They probably are XDXDXD I hope they weren't too bad, they were what popped up in my mind, and yes, when Moon-chan was playing it, I was practically free-styling XD Oki, I'll leave you guys with this hehe and keep on writing the next part!!
