Before you read this one-shot, if you do not know what a yandere is, there's a definition below. Also, this one-shot is quite a bit darker than some of my previous ones, so if you are not into dark one-shots this is not the story for you. But with all that said, I hope you all enjoy :)
Yandere- a Japanese term for a person who is initially very loving and gentle to someone (or at least innocent) before their devotion becomes destructive in nature, often through violence and/or brutality

You sigh a little as you pick up another batch of dough and place it on the flour covered cutting board. This was the toughest part of the day, rolling out the large batches of dough for the crust of your famous meat pies. You grab some more flour and dust the top of the dough before you begin rolling the dough out. Pressing all your weight onto the rolling pin, you begin to notice the dough ball beginning to flatten, causing a small smile to come onto your face. You continue this for a few minutes before a ring from the door causes you to look up.

Standing in the doorway is Mr. Sweeney Todd. You give him a quick smile before returning your attention to the dough in front of you. "How did your last appointment go," you ask as you continue to roll the pin on the slightly flattened dough.

"As good as all the other appointments," he answers flatly. You look up to see that he is sitting in a chair at one of the tables that is close to the cutting board, probably so you two could continue talking.

Surprisingly, you and Sweeney are really good and close friends. You knew Sweeney from when he first moved to this building, back when he still went by the name Benjamin. You used to be very close friends with Lucy, which lead to the friendship you later formed with Benjamin. But once he came back to England after escaping prison, he was different, but he still treated you like he did before he became Sweeney, well, at least as nice as you could expect from him. But, regardless of how he treated you, you loved him, but not in a romantic way, more like the way close friends and family love each other.

You smile as you look back up at him. "You want some gin," you ask, already knowing the answer as you grab a small glass from under the counter before walking to the wall where you keep all the alcohol.

You cast a quick look at Sweeney to see that he is looking at you before nodding and looking away. But before he turned away, you noticed that he had a little blood on his cheek. You shake your head lightly before grabbing the bottle of gin, along with a slightly damp cloth for the blood.

You walk out from behind the counter and place the glass and bottle in front of him. "You can pour how much you want in the glass," you say as you pull out the chair next to Sweeney and sit in it. Once sitting, you turn the chair so you are facing him and begin to look for the blood that you saw on his cheek.

"Why are you looking at me," Sweeney asks as he pulls the cork off the bottle of gin.

"There's a little blood on your cheek," you say as you hold the cloth up. "I was going to get it really quick."

You notice Sweeney tense up. "I can get it," he says as he reaches for the cloth, but you pull it back before he can grab it.

"It will only take a second," you say as you begin to lean closer to him. Sweeney leans away from you and you giggle a little at his stubbornness.

"Stop acting childish," you say with a smile. "Just let me get it." Sweeney looks at you cautiously before leaning a little towards you.

You smile in victory before you bring the damp cloth to Sweeney's cheek and begin to wipe the blood away. There wasn't much blood so the whole ordeal is quick. A second later, you pull the cloth away to see that all the blood is gone. "There," you say with a smile. "That wasn't so bad now was it?"

You see the smallest of smiles appear of Sweeney's face, but it's gone as fast as it appeared. He shrugs and you giggle. "I will take that as a no," you say before standing up and walking back behind the counter to place the cloth in a small basket so you could wash it later. A second after you put the cloth into the basket, you hear a ring from the door, letting you know someone had come in.

Coming out from behind the counter, you see Edmund, the man you were currently courting. "Edmund," you say happily, a big smile appearing on your face as you hurriedly walk to him, hugging him once you were close enough, temporarily forgetting Sweeney's presence in the room. You feel Edmund's warm arms wrap around you, making you feel safe and happy.

"What are you doing here," you ask as you pull away. "I wasn't expecting to see you this early."

"I finished my work early so I decided to surprise you," Edmund says with a smile that reached his love-filled, ocean blue eyes.

A smile graced your face as you took in Edmund's appearance. He has short curly brown hair that perfectly framed his soft heart shaped face. His big ocean blue eyes seemed to be enhanced by his fair skin and semi-lavish clothes due to his grandfather's inheritance that was left to him and his family. And, along with his attractive looks, his kind personality and the way he treated you like a princess was what every girl could ever want. He's perfect in your eyes and you couldn't imagine being with anyone else.

Still smiling, you get on your toes and place a kiss on Edmund's cheek, feeling it heat up a little as you pull away. "Well, I wasn't expecting you until later, so I have a little prep work to finish," you say. You then notice that his hair is a little long and get an idea.

"How about you get a quick haircut while I finish up," you say as you look towards Sweeney. You see Sweeney staring at Edmund with eyes that look almost black. "It's probably just the lighting mixed with London's "beautiful" weather," you think, brushing it off. "Would that be alright," you ask Sweeney, who turns his head to look at you. "I mean if you have a client, it can wait."

"No," Sweeney says, his voice a tad deeper than normal. "I can cut his hair while you finish."

You smile. "Thank you," you say with genuine thankfulness as you meet Sweeney's eyes.

His eyes quickly look away from yours as he turns towards Edmund. "If you would follow me," he says to Edmund before turning towards the door.

You smile at Edmund as he takes on your hands and places a warm kiss on the back of your hand. "I'll see you in a little while," he says with a smile.

You laugh a little. "I won't be too long," you say. "Now go get your hair cut."

Edmund laughs before following Sweeney, giving you a final smile before he disappears from view. You smile as you watch him disappear, completely in love, before turning back to the dough you need to finish rolling out.

Edmund knows what you and Sweeney do; he knows that Sweeney kills people and that you use the dead people as meat in your pies. He didn't find out by accident or approach you after hearing a rumor; he found out because you told him. You couldn't hide this secret from him anymore, you wanted him to know everything about you. And when you told him everything: your failing pie shop, the first person Sweeney murdered, and the idea of cooking the people Sweeney killed into your pies. And, rightfully so, Edmund was disgusted and stayed away from you for almost two weeks, but he came back and said that while he did not condone what was happening, he would never tell anyone what was you two did. Smiling slightly at the memory, you continuing rolling out the dough as it finally begins to flatten.

You spend the next half hour prepping, but even when once you're finished, Edmund still hasn't come down from Sweeney's. "He must be talking with Sweeney," you think, brushing it off. Edmund has always been a chatterbox and once he starts talking it's almost impossible to stop him. Smiling at the thought of Edmund chatting Sweeney's ear off, you pick up the recently finished pies off the counter and head down to the cellar where the big double door ovens are.

Once in the cellar, you put your recently prepped pies into the oven. "I'll have to ask Sweeney if he can take the pies out while I'm gone," you think as you pull a recently finished tray from the oven before closing the doors. As you turn to place the hot tray of pies onto the rather large cooling rack, a loud thud mixed with the sound of cracks breaks the silence.

Jumping with a small scream of surprise, you turn around to see that it was only a body that fell. You sign in relief before you realize something, Edmund was Sweeney's current client. With the tray of pies still in hand, you walk around the body and kneel a little to see who the body belonged to, praying that what the bad thought you had was wrong. Once you see the face of the person, the tray slips from your hands, landing on the floor with a loud clattering that wasn't heard over your scream. The identity of the body was Edmund.

He was almost unrecognizable; his brunette hair resembled a rat's nest, his beautiful blue eyes were wide open and almost black due to his dilated pupils, making it seem that he had just seen a ghost, his pale skin was more crimson than white, his clothes were a complete wreck, and a long, almost black, from the outpour of blood, line was seen across his pale neck. You couldn't believe the state he was in. How did this happen?

Your hand covers your mouth to stifle the strangled sobs escaping. You feel your knees buckle and you land on the ground next Edmund, tears streaming down your face. "No, no, no," you sob as you take one of Edmund's unnaturally cold hands into your trembling ones. "I'm dreaming. This is just a bad dream. I'll wake up and he will be just fine."

"I'm not sure why you want him alive," you hear a voice say behind you.

With wide eyes, you turn around to see Sweeney Todd standing in the doorway, large spots blood staining his white shirt and pale skin. You feel your body begin to shake in fear as he fully enters the room, closing the iron door behind him. Still shocked from Edmund's death, you stay silent as you watch him, tears streaming down your cheeks.

"He could have told the police about what we were doing," he continues. "I made sure that he wouldn't give us up."

"He wasn't going to," you yell, half-sobbing. "He promised he wouldn't because he loves me!"

You see Sweeney's eyes darken, causing you to flinch slightly. He's never looked at you that way before. "No one, except me, will ever love you," he says, his voice deeper than usual.

Your eyes widened in shock and fear. He loves you......but you didn't feel the same, especially now after what he just did. "Y-you l-love me," you stutter due to the sobs still escaping.

That's when Sweeney's face softens as he begins to walk towards you. Still shaken from what happened, you begin to slowly back away from him. By the time, Sweeney is next to Edmund's body, you are only a little over arm's length away from him, but it was as far as you shaking body allowed you to go.

"I love you," Sweeney says as he kneels onto the ground next to Edmund's body, making you angrier than anything else. How could he tell you that he loved you when he was kneeing next to the body of the man that you truly loved, the man he killed in cold blood? "I have done all of this, the killings and helping you with your pie shop, to provide and protect you from the world that could harm you," he says. "I do this because I truly love you y/n. And I hope that you feel the same for me as well."

"This man is insane," you think. "He killed Edmund since he loved me.....What would he do if I don't accept his feelings?" You feel your blood run cold at the thought. "He wouldn't hurt me.....right?" You didn't want to lie and say that you felt the same for Sweeney, but you also didn't want to test the possibility of what would happen if you denied him.

"I..." you start, but the words get stuck in your throat. Sweeney looks at you, hope in his eyes. As much as you desperately want to tell him that you hate him for what he did and that you would never forgive him, your mind and mouth wouldn't allow you. So instead, you stutter, "I b-believe t-that with t-time, I-I can.......l-love you as w-well."

Then Sweeney does something that makes you instantly regret what you said, he smiles. A genuine smile that you hadn't seen since he was Benjamin Barker all those years ago and it terrifies you. "Of course," he says as he takes one of your trembling hands into both of his blood-stained ones. "We have all the time in the world now and no one will tear us apart, at least not while I'm around."
