Everyone met up at Yukinari's house to try to get any information useful for Music Guardian purposes. They turned the news on to see if there is anything funny happening. Hoshiko says, "I'm not sure if there is anything about the Dark Musicians on tonight." "There might be something related to their business," explains Yukinari. A news story about a man being released from jail is on. Suzume asks, "How is that gonna help us any?" "Be quiet real quick," Mizuki says. She knows the man who is getting released for child abuse and DWI charges. It was her father.

"Mizuki?" Akemi asks. Mayu asks, "What's so important about this story to you Mizuki?" Mizuki just watches as she feels her bandaged cheek. She know that man. It was her father, Mizuhiro Yamanaka. Yukinari asks Mizuki, "Do you want me to turn the channel, Mizuki?" "No," she says, "I would like to see why they let this bastard out of jail real quick." Oh dear, Yukinari thinks, I had a feeling this would happen. He soon hacks into the Yamato City Police Department files for Mizuhiro.

He finally stopped his drinking habits, and went into anger management class, so they released him once he was cured. "Mizuki? Are you okay?" Akemi asks. Mizuki says, "Yah. I just don't want to talk about it," and rushes out of Yukinari's house. Kenji asks Yukinari, "What's wrong with Mizuki, Yukinari?" "That man that's getting released from prision," said Yukinari, "he's Mizuki's father, Mizuhiro Yamanaka. He got arrested for drinking and driving, and abusing Mizuki when she was young."

"So the bandage on her cheek?" Mayu asks. Yukinari said, "Mizuhiro did it. Even to this day, Mizuki refuses to remove her bandage." "I'll talk to Kyouya Onii-chan about this later on," Takara says, "He works at the police station." Mizuki was looking at cats through the window of a local pet store, thinking about her past, and looking at an image from her wallet of her deceased mother, Miyuki Yamanaka.

Mizuhiro was at the cemetery with newborn Mizuki, visiting Miyuki. "I'm so sorry Miyuki," he says crying, "I didn't realize how much I was drinking. I didn't mean for you to end up like this. Please forgive me. I'll take good care of our daughter too." He soon looks at baby Mizuki and says, "I'm sorry for taking your mother's life Mizuki. I hope I don't do the same to you."

(time-skip in flashback)

When Mizuki turned three, Mizuhiro got fired for drinking too much. He was at home drunk. "Daddy?" a young, scared Mizuki asked, "Are you okay?" Mizuhiro slaps Mizuki's left cheek and yells, "HELL NO YOU LITTLE BITCH! I JUST GOT FIRED TODAY FROM ANOTHER JOB! AND YOU'RE ASKING ME IF I'M OKAY?" Mizuki then runs into a room, screaming, but Mizuhiro catches up with her, and beats her with his belt. The next day, Mizuki went to her aunt's house, covered in bandages and belt markings, while her left cheek has a big, purple bruise on it.

"Mizuki?" Ayano asks, "What happened to you?" "I fell down a hill Auntie Ayano," lied Mizuki. Ayano, Mizuki's aunt, says, "Your injuries sure don't look like it. Now tell me what's wrong, I'm your aunt." "I'm alright!" Mizuki yells crying, "I just don't want to talk about it!" Ayano lays her niece down on her lap, and says, "There there now Mizuki. You don't have to tell me if you want to."

"I wish Mommy was still here," Mizuki says. "Mommy is in a safe place Mizuki," Ayano says. Three years later, Mizuki walked into the living room with a mochi cake and said, "I bought you this mochi cake Daddy." Mizuhiro just angrily groan, sipped his beer, and said, "I don't want it now." "I'll just put it down, and leave it here until you're ready for it," she says.

Mizuhiro threw his empty beer bottle at Mizuki, but it missed her, and a chunk of glass from it hit her left cheek, which bleeds. "I SAID I DON'T WANT IT!" Mizuhiro yells, "WHEN I DO GET HUNGRY, THEN YOU CAN FIX ME SOMETHING! BUT FOR NOW, JUST GO AWAY!" Mizuki cries and says, "But Daddy, I was just being nice!" and hides in a closet.

(pause in flashback)

Mizuki soon feels her cheek, and then stops by her mother's grave. She then thought about her dead cat, Nekoru. Mizuki was thinking about when she fell in love with Yukinari too.

(resume flashback)

Mizuki, who's cheek was bandaged, snuck out of her house at night with her suitcase, and money. She soon approached an injured cat. "Poor kitty," Mizuki says, grabbing her first aid kit, and picking up the cat. Once the cat's arm was bandaged, Mizuki says, "I won't abdon you like your owners did. I'll take care of you Nekoru." She stopped in the middle of an alley.

Mizuki got tired, and fell asleep there, with her blanket, and Nekoru underneath it. Young Yukinari woke up to the sound of a cat outside and looked out the window. He saw Mizuki and Nekoru sleeping in the alley, and were freezing. "Mizuki!" exclaimed Yukinari as he hurried outside. She was cold, and dirty. Nekoru was also freezing. Yukinari put Mizuki on his back, and Nekoru on his shoulder.

"Yukinari?" asked his mother, Hanaka, "What happened? And who is this young lady and kitty?" "It's my classmate Mizuki, Mom. I found her sleeping outside with this black cat in the cold," Yukinari says. Yuuto, his father, says, "We did tell you not to go outside, but I guess it was a good reason now." "I put her in the guest room," says Hanaka, grabbing Mizuki, who felt happy that Yukinari saved her.

(end of flashback/Yamato City Police Station)

Takara was at the police station, talking to Kyouya. "You're asking about Mizuhiro Yamanaka?" asks Kyouya. "It's very important Kyouya Onii-chan," Takara says, "Mizuki Yamanaka, that's her father." He soon asks, "How do you know?" Takara explains, "Hoshiko and Otoyan know her, and we saw the news. Yukinari Aono told us about it." Kyouya grabs Mizuhiro's files from his drawer, and sees his charges.

"I do remember her aunt said he abused her, cursed her out, and caused her to not be seen without her band-aid on her left cheek," Kyouya says, "In fact, Ayano is the one who pressed charges on him. She even said Mizuhiro was drinking on the day he and Miyuki picked Mizuki up, and got drunk, which caused him to crash the car and kill Miyuki. Ayano said that's why he abused Mizuki."

"This is a first I've heard about this," Takara says. Minaru came by with Minamaru, because she's visiting Kyouya and bringing him lunch, and says, "Oh, hi Treasure. What are you doing here?" "Little Miss Police Gal found out about a man who was released today," Kyouya explains, opening his bento, "and she knows that he's the man who abused his daughter, Mizuki Yamanaka." "Why did he take his anger out on Mizuki, then?" Takara asked her brother-in-law.

"It was the alcohol taking over him Treasure Hunter," Kyouya says, eating an onigiri, "and he would constantly drink to forget his wife's death. He couldn't control it. And he would use anything he could get his hands on and beat his own daughter, even when she didn't do anything wrong." "Is that really why Mizuki always wears her band-aid?" Minaru asked, feeding Minamaru.

Kyouya said, "Ayano said Mizuhiro threw his beer bottle towards Mizuki, and a chunk got her cheek," he then grabs Minamaru to burp him. "Poor Mizuki," Takara says, "That's really sad. To lose her mother, and to be abused by her father. But I won't tell anyone." "That's my little sister," Minaru says to Takara.

It was already night, and Mizuki was walking home. She heard footsteps behind her. "Who's there?!" Mizuki asked, grabbing her gloves and claws, "I'm not afraid to fight!" Then a man appeared behind her. Mizuki walked backwards and bumped into the man. When she turned around, armed to fight, Mizuki notices it was her father, Mizuhiro. "Man you scared me Dad," says Mizuki, putting her claws away.

"I'm sorry honey," says Mizuhiro, "I didn't mean it." "You never said that to me before. So why are you now?" Mizuki asks. He says, "I wanted to restart. I am sorry for hurting you. At least I stopped drinking." Mizuki says, "How the hell is that suppose to make me happy, father?" "Now don't you dare talk to me like that!" Mizuhiro exclaims.

"I'M AN ADULT DAMN IT! I CAN TALK HOWEVER I WANT TO NOW!" Mizuki exclaims to her father, "YOU NEVER CARED IN THE PAST! ALL YOU DID WAS DRINK, ABUSE ME, AND CURSE ME OUT! I AM NOT GONNA FORGIVE YOU!" Mizuhiro says, "I'm still your father. Now listen to what I say!" and gets ready to slap her. But she grabs his hand, and in turn slaps him. "The abuse made me stronger, Dad!" Mizuki says, "And I never saw you as my father. You killed my mother! You bastard!" She ran to her home.

Once she left, Mizuhiro felt his cheek that Mizuki slapped, and saw his hand he almost slapped her with. "What did I do?" he asks himself, "Why did I almost do it? I'm sorry Mizuki. I lost both a wife and daughter. And now I have no home." Inu was hiding behind a lamppost, and saw the whole thing, and she says, "I have to talk to her." She heads to Mizuki's resident.

"Who the hell does he think he is, trying to boss me around like that?!" and angry Mizuki asks herself. She soon sees Inu on the couch with some groceries. "Inu?" Mizuki asks, "What are you doing here?" Ink tells Mizuki, "It's about your father. Now we need to talk." "I have nothing to say about that jackass," Mizuki asks. Inu says, "Well you should forgive him." "Why were you eavesdropping?" asked Mizuki.

"I was grocery shopping," says Inu, "and you know the grocery store where I buy liquor and dinner at is not too far from your house." Mizuki says, "He abused me Inu! You never knew what it was like to lose a mother, and be abused by a father." "Well I do too," Inu says, "but I lost my father around the time yours got arrested. And my mother died from an illness a week after my birth. Don't you know how sad that was for me?"

"I guess I get what you mean," says Mizuki. Inu says, "You should also consider Princess Hoshiko's feelings too. She saw Prince Hidehida die in front of her. I may be a music teacher that likes to drink a lot, but I understand what it's like to feel pain. You're an adult. So you should go to him like a mature person." "I can't forgive him!" Mizuki exclaims.

"You're going to have to sometime," Inu said, "but for now, can I have dinner with you. I was suppose to take my groceries home to cook." Mizuki says, "Sure. We can cook something with the groceries you bought." Inu says, "Alright," and goes into the kitchen. Mizuki opens a bag to find the groceries, but finds liquor. "Sorry," says Inu, "I put my liquor in one bag." "Of course," says Mizuki grabbing the bag with food so they can cook.

(Dark Music Kingdom)

"That was an easy mission," says Kurami, "but yet you failed!" "That dumb princess seems to be getting stronger though your highness," Astar exclaims. Wakana says, "What else are we suppose to do? Princess Hoshiko and her friends sure are not fools anymore." Kurami gets up and says, "Sure I only fought her once, but I can do it again without any handicap. Then I'll show you how easy it will be!" "Be careful!" Astar says. "Don't worry about me," says Kurami, "I know what I'm doing." She gets off of her throne and grabs her weapons.

(Earth)

Takara was at Yukinari's place, telling him about what she heard from Kyouya. "You got all of that information from your brother-in-law?" Yukinari asks. Takara says, "Kyouya Onii-chan knows a lot about him, Yukinari. He may be a cop for two years now, but he knows about this case, and even has his release files. Ayano, Mizuki's aunt, pressed the charges." "Well don't tell Mizuki you know this," says Yukinari, "because it's bad enough she has to deal with this situation." "I already made a promise that I wouldn't, and Kyouya Onii-chan trusts me," Takara says.

"Did he tell you why Mizuhiro did it too?" Yukinari asks. Takara explains, "Yes. He said Mizuhiro accidently killed Mizuki's mother, saying he drunk too much. Afterwards, he drunk a lot to get over the lose of his wife Miyuki. He got really drunk and angry, taking it all out on Mizuki. The scar covered by the bandage is from a beer bottle thrown at her." Yukinari says, "Wow. Kyouya really went into detail with this, didn't he?"

"He sure did," Takara says, "and he said if I were to give up my dream of being a drummer, then I could be a cop like him." "With guts and memories like that, you can," says Yukinari. Mizuki is at home, looking at an image of her and Airi Inoue, one of her old leader who took care of her after Mizuhiro's arrest. She was also thinking about Yukinari. I want to thank Yukinari for all of the help he did for me Airi, Mizuki thinks to herself, How can I tell him I love him with my abusive father out of jail?

Mizuki grabs the chocolate statuette of Nekoru for Yukinari she ordered from Cafe Utako. "I hope my 'father' doesn't try to ruin this for me," she says, leaving her resident. Hoshiko and Hinata came out of the supermarket with some bananas and apples. "Thanks for letting me come with you Auntie Hoshi," says Hinata. Hoshiko says, "Anything to make you happy, Little Butterfly." They see Mizuki.

Hinata says, "It's Mizuki. Should we see her real quick?" "I guess so," Hoshiko tells Hinata, "Maybe seeing us will make her happy." Mizuki then stops by the Aono resident with Hoshiko and Hinata in front of her. "Hey Hoshiko and Hinata," Mizuki says, "What are you doing?" Hoshiko informs Mizuki, "Me and Hinata bought some fruit at the supermarket for Kenji, and we wanted to see you real quick."

Mizuki says, "Well I'll buy that. Can you come with me to give this chocolate to him?" "Sure," says Hoshiko. They entered Yukinari's resident. Kurami was behind a dumpster and thinks, Just you wait Princess Hoshiko! I'll get you once you surrender!

Mixuki gives Yukinari the chocolate and says, "Here Yukinari. I bought this for you." "It looks like Nekoru," he says. Hoshiko asks, "Nekoru?" "She was the cat I found while running away," said Mizuki, "Yukinari saw us in the alley and took us in. Sadly, when I was in middle school, Nekoru got sick and died. Yukinari has a small grave for her in his yard." "Poor kitty," Hinata says.

"Nekoru was something special though," says Yukinari. Mizuki says, "In a way Yukinari, you're special too." He says, "Thanks so much Mizuki." As Mizuhiro walked by, Kurami showed up in front of him and said, "Tell me where the princess is!" "I don't know any princess!" Mizuhiro exclaims, "I am looking for my daughter!"

"I'm not asking you about your daughter," Kurami says, "I am asking about Princess Hoshiko." Inside of the house, everyone heard fighting outside. Kurami then drained Mizuhiro's energy. Mizuki put her claws on and transformed. Hoshiko and Hinata are in transformation. Mizuki swipes at Kurami and says, "Leave my father alone!" "Last I heard," Kurami says, "you said that you never gave a crap why about what happened to him, Guardian Mizuki."

"No matter who it is, it is plain cruel!" Hoshiko exclaims, "By the power of music! For the love of harmony and peace on Earth! I'll make sure you seek justice!" Mizuki yells, "BLACK CAT CLAW SLICER!" to attack Kurami, but she forms a black halo and yells, "DEMON'S HALO SHEILD!" to protect herself.

"There is no way an attack like that will work on me!" Kurami tells Mizuki. Hinata throws her pollen and yells, "BUTTERFLIES' PLANT ASSAULT!" which made the butterflies force the plants to grow and attack Kurami. It did not quite work because she jumped into the air and yelled, "DEMON'S MULTI-GRAVITATIONAL HALO TRAP!"

She trapped Hinata and Hoshiko with six halos, which made them levitate in mid-air. Yukinari soon rushed outside. He ends up turning into a wolfman, gets ready to fight, and yells, "What did you do to my girls, Kurami?!" "This is not of your concern Guardian Yukinari," says Kurami.

"MOON PHANTOM WOLF PAW!" Yukinari yells this and has a transparent, gray soundwave wolf paw scratch Kurami. She soon made a soundwave monster with Mizuhiro's energy. The monster attacks Yukinari. Mizuki says, "YUKINARI!" and rushes to him.

Before the monster could hit him with its paw, Mizuki jumped in front of Yukinari. She then got big scratch marks on her back. "Mizuki," says a curious Yukinari, "Why?" Mizuki says, "For one that's my father who is held hostage and is being used. Second, I don't want you hurt, Yukinari!" This was a shock to him. "I've been meaning to say this for many years now," she tells Yukinari.

Mizuki says, "Every since you took me in during my attempt to escape, I was blessed. You gave me a place to call a safe home, Yukinari. You never treated me like garbage. You saved me from the likes of my father. I couldn't be any happier. I love you! I love you Yukinari Aono!" Yukinari thinks, Mizuki, loves me? "It's the truth!" Mizuki exclaims, crying, "I loved you every since that day, and nothing will stop that either!"

She then kisses him to unleash her power. Once the kiss is broken, Mizuki's cat ears and cat tail show up while her Guardian Mark glows. "GUARDIAN MIZUKI! WHITE BLACK CAT!" Mizuki exclaims this, "BLACK CAT'S MEOW!" After Mizuki meows really loud, Mizuhiro regains consciousness and Hinata and Hoshiko are free from the halos. Hoshiko then yells, "ANGEL'S HALO TRAP!" to trap Kurami.

Kurami then got zapped and yelled, "Damn you, Princess Hoshiko!" and leaves. Mizuki runs to her father and says, "Are you okay Dad?" "Yah I'm fine," he says, "Thanks for saving me, dear." She says, "I didn't do it because I forgive you. I did it because you're my father."

"I understand," Mizuhiro tells his daughter. Mizuki says, "I don't forgive you, but I say thanks, for changing for me, and Mom. She seems to be really happy, too." This made him smile and say, "I have to go now. I was offered to stay in a shelter for homeless people. See you Mizuki," and leaves.

Yukinari gets up and asks, "Is what you said, true?" Mizuki nearly forgets that. "Yes," she admits, "and I mean every word of it. I did not want it to affect our friendship." "It won't," he says, kissing her. Yukinari also tells Mizuki, "You didn't have to hide it from me for years though. We've been friends for nearly 27 years, and now you're telling me what you truely think of me."

"I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to feel uncomfortable," says Mizuki. Yukinari says, "I can't stay single forever, and there is room in my home, so I want to say, I love you too Mizuki. And will you be by my side forever?" He gets on one knee and grabs Mizuki's hand, saying, "Will you be my wife?" "Yes!" Mizuki happily exclaims. Hoshiko and Hinata were crying.

"This is so precious!" Hoshiko says. Hinata says, "Yah Auntie Hoshi. I think this is the most beautiful thing to happen to two people in love." Mizuki and Yukinari kissed again, and knew Hoshiko and Hinata were watching, but did not care. They were too happy about their engagement.
