You're Watching Disney Channel!!
Me: Hey, guys! Welcome to another episode of--
Philip (from the bathroom): (Retches)
Veronica: (Winces) Oof... is he all right?
Me: "Ask Musical Characters". Yeah... Philip has been camping out in the bathroom with a bad case of food poisoning for the past (checks watch) 12 or so hours... and counting.
Eliza: Yep. He's been in the bathroom all night without getting an ounce of sleep.
Hamilton: (In panic/crisis mode) Philip! Are you okay?!
Philip: (From bathroom) Yeah, pops! I-- wait a sec... (retches)
Eliza: (Puts her hand on Hamilton's arm) I'll go check on him. (Heads to the bathroom to check on Philip)
Anna of Cleves: Oh, poor boy!
Anne Boleyn: You said it, girl!
Catherine of Aragon: Yeah...
Usnavi: I had a pretty bad case of food poisoning once... I know how bad that feels.
Benny: He actually was working while sick. He looked MISERABLE, like, you don't even know.
Daniela: Yeah, Abuela Claudia had to DRAG him to bed because he didn't want to get out of work.
Angelica: Huh! That reminds me of SOMEone! (Looks at Hamilton)
Burr: He's exactly the type of guy that would do that.
Peggy: Eliza told me that she had to physically MAKE Alex go back to bed and stop working when he was sick once.
Sonny: ANYway... Usnavi had no choice but to have me man the bodega all by myself!
Usnavi: Yeah... never doing THAT again.
Benny: (Nods)
Heather C.: Oh, grow up! Food poisoning is soooo '87!
Literally EVERYONE in the room: (To Chandler) SHUT UP, HEATHER!!!
Heather D.: I actually have to agree with literally everyone. I have bulimia, which does involve vomiting, and it's NOT a walk in the park.
Burr: Neither is food poisoning!
Philip: (retches)
Hamilton: Philip!
J.D.: That's gotta feel really bad.
Heather D. and Veronica: Yep.
Jefferson: Madison was also sick with food poisoning once... that did NOT go well for him.
Madison: No, it did not... (coughs into handkerchief)
King George: Whatever! Can we just get on with the episode, already?!
Jefferson: Yeah! Sooner we start, sooner I can get out of here!
Me: I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that. Okay, today's request is from BlackGirlKK.
Lafayette: What's "That's So Raven"?
Madison: And "Jessie"?
Me: So, Disney also has a TV channel called "Disney Channel", and they make sitcoms such as "Jessie" and "That's So Raven", though both of them have ended. But, there is a sitcom that came out in 2017 called "Raven's Home" that's about Raven Baxter and her children.
Laurens: Huh! That's interesting!
Me: Well, today, we'll react to 3 sitcoms. First up: Jessie! This sitcom is about a girl named Jessie Prescott, who came from Texas to New York City to become an actress, but she winds up becoming a nanny for a rich family instead.
Mulligan: Well, that doesn't seem like fun.
Me: Trust me, Herc, it's better than it sounds. We'll watch the first episode called "New York, New Nanny".
[Timeskip to the episode]
Laurens: Ha! The taxi driver threw her out!
Usnavi: Who's that little girl?
Me: That's Zuri Ross, the youngest of the Ross kids. Okay, so there are 4 kids, Emma, Luke, Ravi, and Zuri. Zuri, Luke, and Ravi are adopted.
Madison: So their mom only gave birth to Emma?
Me: Exactly.
Vanessa: Why did that woman just run out of the building, screaming?
Me: That's the kids' old nanny. She ran out because they were a handful.
Angelica: You know how kids can be.
(Timeskip)
Carla: Now I can see why the other nanny ran out...
Heather M. and Burr: Yep!
Heather C.: I HATE children, so I would NEVER want to be in a position like that!
Me: Heather, do you wanna go to the timeout corner?
Heather C.: No!
Me: Then stop making those rude comments.
Hamilton: Ha! That reminds me of MY kids! I have 8 of them, and it's NOT easy.
Peggy: It doesn't look like that! I wonder how you and Eliza do it?
Nina: The dad knows George Lucas? How rich is he?
Me: Very.
Jefferson: Ew! Why would Luke want to date a full-grown adult woman? That's sick!
Madison: I totally agree!
Katherine Howard: But you gotta agree he's pretty funny.
Jane Seymour: Yeah, he is.
(Timeskip to the end)
Sonny: Yes! Emma won the science fair?! That's great!
Me: Okay, now we'll react to "That's So Raven". It's about Raven Baxter, a girl who can see into the future.
Anna of Cleves: Woah! That's so cool!
Me: We'll watch an episode called "Mother Dearest".
[Timeskip]
Hamilton: The first capital of our country?! That's so easy! It's Philidelphia! How could they not know?!
King George: I'M STILL NOT OVER LOSING THE WAR!
Laurens: Whatever!
[Timeskip]
J.D.: Pretending to be a parent at a conference? Sounds like something I'd do!
Veronica: I agree, especially if I know I'll be screwed.
Anne Boleyn: What's a conference?
Me: It's where teachers talk one on one with parents about their child's progress.
Jane Seymour: ...and Raven is pretending to be her mom at the conference?
Me: Uh-huh.
[Timeskip]
Angelica: Well... THAT did not go well.
Jefferson and Burr: Yep!
Burr: If Theo pulled a stunt like that, she'd be grounded for a long time.
Me: Well, time to react to the last sitcom! It's called "Stuck In The Middle". I think you kids from the barrio will like this one!
Sonny: What's that one about?
Me: It's about a large Latin American family of seven kids, and Harley Diaz, the middle child, is the main character.
Usnavi: Ooh! I'm so glad to see more Latinx representation!
Nina: Me, too!
Me: Well, this is one of two sitcoms that I know of which have Latin American characters. Let's watch the last episode, "Stuck in Harley's Quinceañera".
Everyone except the "Heights" characters: What's a "quinceañera"?
Nina: A quinceañera is a huge birthday celebration for Hispanic girls when they turn fifteen.
Heather M.: So... sort of like a Sweet Sixteen but for Latinas?
Vanessa: Yep!
Veronica: That sounds really fun!
[Timeskip]
Daniela: So... Harley has a list of things she wants to do before she turns an adult?
Me: Yep.
Sonny: Oh! She turned purple! Is it because of the Gelatin Slip 'n' Slide?
Carla: Oof... things have gone horribly wrong...
Vanessa: Oh... her parents arrived at the dress shop too late!
Nina: Aw! Her oldest sister saved the day!
Me: Yep! Her quinceañera is saved! So, which sitcom did you guys like the best?
Angelica and Peggy: "Jessie"!
The Hamilsquad, Heathers, Veronica, and J.D.: We liked "That's So Raven"!
Catherine of Aragon: Yeah, that show seemed really cool!
The "In The Heights" characters: "Stuck In The Middle"!
Me: Well, I'm the most familiar with "Jessie", but it was fun watching all these sitcoms! That's all the time we have for "Ask Musical Characters!"
Burr: Feel free to ask, dare, or leave a request in the comments below! Nothing too inappropriate, though!
Me: You said it, Burr! Okay, guys! See you guys next time! Bye!
Everyone: Bye!
Hamilton: I'm gonna go check on Philip...
Me: Bye, everyone!
