SvS Redux (Sanders Sides)

Me: Hello everyone!! Welcome to another episode of Musical Characters React!

Veronica: We hope you guys survived midterms!

Peggy: Yeah! And PSATs. We wish you guys luck.

Sonny: Yeah, I had midterms and PSATs on the same week, it was very stressful.

Catherine of Aragon: Anyway....what are we going to react to in today's episode?

Me: Today's winning request was by FreakyRoses.

Me: They are talking about Putting Others First, or SvS Redux, not the new Sanders Asides that came out recently.

Philip and Sonny: Oh sh*t...

Me: Yeah, that episode was pretty emotional , so prepare yourselves. Okay, without further ado, here it is...

https://youtu.be/KCr3SN6vWFQ

Angelica: Oh! So he's at a wedding...

Me: Yeah, he had to decide between going to this wedding or coming to a callback for a big movie role, but he chose to go to the wedding instead.

Anna of Cleves: Oof...looks like he's not having much fun...

King George: Well...why is he pixelated?

Me: Oh, this episode is video game themed.

(After the intro)

Heather M.: Oh! This part is just like the trailer!

Me: Yep...

(After Thomas storms in)

Katherine Howard: Whoa there! Language!

Anne Boleyn: He must be really pissed...

Heather C.: Well, no duh.

J.D.: "F friends" is such a whole mood.

Veronica: (referring to the Heathers) I mean, MY "friends"  were crappy as heck, and J.D. moved schools a lot so he didn't really have a chance to form lasting friendships so....

Hamilton: Heh..."effable as F".

King George: FINALLY! Roman shows up!

Me: Well, there'll be a LOT of Roman angst in this episode so...enjoy this while it lasts...

(When "Rhythm Redux" starts)

Catherine of Aragon: This song is very catchy!

Benny: Ooh! Was that an Ace Attorney reference I saw on the screen?

Me: Yeah.

[Onscreen: "f my one interaction with them was any indication they obviously wouldn't have cared if I wasn't there at all."]

Everyone: Oof....

King George: Well, looks like going to the wedding was not the best decision...

[During the Pokemon scenario]

Burr: Leslie Odom Jr.? Heh...

Catherine Parr: I would personally help him, I guess...

King George: I'd use "run".

Jefferson: Same.

Laurens: Oooof course you would.

[When Logan first appears, in animated form]

Usnavi: Oh! Is Logan going to be in animated form for the entirety of this episode?

Me: Yep.

Mulligan: OHHHH! Roman pushed the "ignore" button!

Vanessa: I feel kind of bad for him, he's blatantly being ignored....When Roman pushed the ignore button, he is basically saying "I don't care for your input at all, I don't want you here".

Nina: Holy crap, we gotta read! Um...(pauses the video so she can read Logan's Lowdowns) "It would be an estimated annual cost of 20 billion dollars to eliminate homelessness in the United States according to Mark Johnston, the acting assistant housing secretary for community planning and development. Americans spend more than 20 billion dollars on Christmas decorations and flowers every year so it would seem that many Americans do have the currency to spare to end homelessness in the United States forever."

(She unpauses the video for the next bit of dialogue, and then another Logan's Lowdown pops up)

Nina: "Similarly, if every U.S. household were to give up just 1% of their wealth, then that would be enough to end homelessness in the United States for the next 50 years."

Jefferson: Wow....all that was a mouthful.

[During the Mario scenario]

Hamilton: Oh! Leslie Odom Jr. again...

Philip: What's a scute?

Angelica: (Reading the Logan's Lowdown) "Scutes are the short, wide, rung-like scales on the underside of a snake."

Eliza: I mean...Patton does have a point...doing a good deed because you so want to be rewarded for it is kind of screwed up...

Heather C.: Isn't doing a good deed in and of itself just enough?

Veronica: Oh! Another Logan's Lowdown! (Pauses the video, reads) "A study was conducted at Berkeley that looked at the correlation between an individual's happiness and the amount of selfless acts that they performed. This was done by comparing three groups: Group A was not instructed to perform any acts of kindness, while Group B was instructed to meet the quota of five acts of kindness within a week. Group C, however, was instructed to perform all five acts of kindness within one day. It was found that Groups B and C (both of which performed acts of kindness) saw an increase in how they rated their own happiness, but the most significant increase was in Group C (five kind acts in one day)."

Burr: There ARE studies suggesting doing random acts of kindness makes you happier.

[During the train track scenario]

Heather D.: Ah, yes, the famous train track scenario.

J.D.: We've been asked this question SO many times in school. I say we KILL the one person!

Veronica:...because you're saving the lives of 5 by doing that...RIGHT, Jason?

J.D.:....yeah...let's...let's put it at that.

Me: Oh! And Logan's Lowdown! Again! (I pause the video and read) "That scenario was an illustration of the classic dilemma, the Trolley Problem. "Trolley Problem" is a term coined by Judith Thompson, who also devised its two most famous variants, the "Footbridge" and the "Switch" (the latter being the version that was just demonstrated). The Trolley Problem is intended to raise questions about our moral priorities: is it more important to minimize casualties, or is it more important to strictly adhere to ethical rules (the notion that it is wrong to kill another human being, in particular). Furthermore, the Trolley Problem asks us to examine the distinction between actively killing someone, and passively letting people die."

Veronica: Not ACTIVELY, J.D.!

(I unpause the video)

Peggy: Ha! I love their jab at Trump!

Daniela: Same!

Laurens: Oof, the next Logan's Lowdown got too long that Patton lost 2HP!

[When Roman clicks the skip all button when Logan talks about Nietzsche]

Heather M.: Wait.....why did the cane just take away Logan?

Me: Hmmm....

[When Patton cracks and turns into Lillypadton]

Angelica: Oh my-

Philip: Sh*t just got real!

Burr: WHOA! Why is he threatening the life of Leslie Odom Jr.?!

[Onscreen: Logan yells "ENOUGH!"]

Catherine Parr: That's me during the queen fight scene in Six!

[Deceit's theme plays onscreen]

Anne Boleyn: Wait...DECEIT! Deceit was disguised as Logan?

Me: Yes. But only after the real Logan got taken away by the cane.

Katherine Howard: Ooof...so Deceit is fighting Patton? (Thomas gets hit) Oof...and Thomas is down!

[When the scene goes back to live action]

Veronica: Actually....Deceit is making some real good points...

Carla: Yeah....

[Onscreen: Logan says "Not that any of you care, but I am unharmed, and I don't want to talk about it. I'm just here to deliver one last fact, then I will do you all a favor and spare you my company"]

Benny: Oof, so he's throwing shade at them because he thinks they don't want his company-

Me: Yeah, it's kind of sad that Logan's been in the back burner.

Carla: Deceit is right....Thomas' going to the wedding didn't really do him much good in terms of mental health...

Catherine of Aragon: Yeah...yes, you should do good deeds and help others, but not at the expense of your mental health.

[When Deceit gets ready to reveal his name]

Peggy: Oh my God...is he...

[Onscreen: "My name is Janus"]

Heather D.: That's a pretty unique name.

Veronica: Hey! Roman, making fun of Janus' name? Not cool!

J.D.: Oof, and he gets compared to Remus in return!

Eliza: Janus was being pretty vulnerable at that moment, so what Roman did was uncalled for.

[Onscreen: "I thought I was your hero.."]

Sonny: There ya go...one of the most angstiest lines in Sanders Sides history.

Me:  I actually have a theory that Roman will snap soon.

Veronica: NO! ROMAN COME BACK!

Vanessa: Oof, this episode is pretty intense.

Laurens: So....Janus is trusted by Thomas now?

Jane Seymour: Yeah it seems it.

Heather M.: WAIT! IS THAT THE REAL LESLIE ODOM JR.?!

Me: Yep! He made a cameo!

Catherine Parr: Ooh! He's having brunch with Lee and Mary Lee!

[The episode ends]

Me: So what did everyone think about the episode?

Burr: It was pretty intense, and also very informative.

Jane Seymour: Yeah, I learned that although it is important to do good deeds, your own mental health is important, too.

Benny: That is something we all have to keep in mind.

Veronica: Yep.

Me: Yeah it was a more intense episode, complete with a name reveal...okay, that's all the time we have for today! Feel free to vote, request, and comment! Until next time, guys, gals, and non-binary pals...

Everyone: (Doing the hand gesture thingy Thomas does when he says "peace out") PEACE OUT!
