Me: Hey, guys! Welcome to another episode of Musical Characters React. How's everyone doing?

Veronica: Since it's 7-eleven day, J.D. and I went to our local 7-eleven and got slushies, wearing masks and gloves, of course, even though thanks to COVID, they weren't free this time.

J.D.: (Drinking his slushie) Yeah, usually I would get all the slushies I could on 7-Eleven day since they were free, but I had to actually pay for them this year. Ugh...

Hamilton: Well today's also the anniversary of my duel with Burr...

(The Hamilton family and Burr shudders)

Burr: Yeah, um...we don't talk about that.

King George: Ooh! Tell me more!

Burr: I SAID we don't talk about that.

Anne Boleyn: I'm gonna watch Hamilton on Disney Plus again!

Catherine of Aragon: Anne watches Hamilton at LEAST once per day, so...

Anne Boleyn: But today IS a special day in Hamilton's history, so...

Usnavi: Yeah. The duel must NOT have been fun...

Me: So today's winning request is not a reaction, but it's from abcgrios.

Angelica: Wait...ship battle?

Peggy: How is this gonna work?

Me: Well....we are gonna have a CIVILIZED, key word being civilized, debate! The participating ships will be Philidosia, Hamliza, Usnavi and Vanessa, Benny and Nina, JDRonica, and....hold on!

(I let two people in the video chat. They are Roger and Mimi from Rent.)

Me: Live from the East Village, Roger and Mimi!

Roger: Hey, guys! We're long time viewers, first time guests.

Mimi: It's so nice to be here!

Me: And it's nice to have you guys around!

(Everyone greets Roger and Mimi)

Me: (Lets Theo in the video chat) And we have Theo with us today!

Theo: Hey, guys! It's great to be back!

Me: So we're going to have a ship battle in the style of a debate. The queens and I will be judging. Anyone else who is not in the debate may watch and at the end, will vote alongside us judges.

Catherine of Aragon: The debate will consist of one round of opening statement and claims, one round of rebuttals of other arguments and the closing statement.

Anne Boleyn: No name calling or threats of violence will be allowed, HAMILTON and JD, or you will IMMEDIATELY be disqualified.

Katherine Howard: The winning ship will get bragging rights of being the ultimate musical theater OTP.

Me: So let's get started. First ship to make their opening statement will be Hamliza.

(The Hamilsquad cheers)

Hamilton: We are here today to decide which ship out of all of us is OTP. I'm here to claim that Hamliza is the best ship out of everyone here. Eliza and I have been married for 24 years...

Catherine of Aragon: (Under her breath) Just like me and Henry

Hamilton:...and although we had some rough patches, we rose above it all and became and even stronger couple than before. Our relationship is built on love and trust.

Jefferson: Trust my a**.

Heather C.: Then why did he cheat on Eliza?

Hamilton: SHUT UP, JEFFESRON AND HEATHER!

Me: Jefferson, Heather, do you guys WANT to be muted?

Jefferson and Heather C.: No!

Me: Then keep your comments to yourself.

Hamilton:...and we have been in a relationship for the longest time out of any of the couples here. And we DO have some cute moments.

Me: Thank you Hamilton. Next couple will be Philidosia.

Philip: I'm here today to claim that Philidosia is OTP out of all the other couples here. We have a pretty cute relationship if I do say so myself. And this relationship being technically forbidden by our parents makes it even better.

Hamilton and Burr: Hmph!

Philip: And did I mention all the cute fanart the Hamilton fans created of us?  That should solidify our position as OTP.

Heather M.: He's not wrong! I have tons of Philidosia art saved on my Pinterest!

Me: Thank you, Philip. The next couple is Usnavi and Vanessa.

Usnavi: I'm here today to claim that Vanessa and I are the OTP ship. We have some great moments in the show and we genuinely love each other. Ever since we had that second date, we've been going pretty strong for quite some time now.

Me: Thank you, Usnavi. Next couple is Benny and Nina.

Benny: I'm here today to claim that Nina and I are the OTP ship. We've known each other for a long time and on that summer where we walked around the Heights together, we clicked. Our relationship is built on love, vulnerability, and empathy. And I think we get more of a developed arc as a couple in the show.

Me: Thank you Benny. The next couple will be JDRonica  [A/N: Oh boy, THIS one will be a bit hard to write...I'm SO sorry if I mess this up]

Carla: Ooh...

Heather D.: THIS should be fun...

J.D.: JDRonica is the best ship out of all the ships here. We LITERALLY have a song in our show called "Our Love Is God". And I would do anything to protect Veronica...

Heather C.:...even if it means going TOO far.

J.D.: (Pretending he didn't hear her)...because I love her and if that's not a good argument, I don't know what is. Also (cough) DeadGirlWalking (Cough)

Me: Oookaay... thank you J.D. the last ship will be Roger and Mimi.

Roger: I'm here today to claim that Mimi and I are OTP. I wrote a love song about her...

King George:...which was pretty underwhelming if I DO say so myself...

Roger: AHEM....and that song literally revived her from the brink of death. If that's not OTP material, I don't know WHAT is. We really DO love each other, and she and I balance each other out. And even though we did have some bumps and rough patches in our relationship, we always pull through.

Me: Okay. Now time for the rebuttal and final round! Eliza, would you start?

Eliza: As a representative for team Hamliza, I will do a rebuttal to team JDRonica's claim. J.D. literally almost blows up the whole school. And he bumped off THREE kids to prove his "love" for Veronica. And our closing statement is that since we have been married the longest, and we came out even stronger after a lot of trials, we are the OTP couple out of all of them.

Peggy: WHOOO! Get 'em, sis!

Me: Thank you, Eliza. Next couple is Philidosia.

Theo: As a representative for team Philidosia, I will do a rebuttal to team Roger and Mimi's claim. In Rent, they bicker quite a bit, and Roger even left Mimi for Santa Fe for some time. Our closing statement is that since we are the cutest Hamilton ship if we do say so, ourselves, and everyone loves a good teenage romance, we are the OTP couple out of all of them .

Me: Thank you Theo. Next is couple is Usnavi and Vanessa.

Vanessa: As a representative for team Usnavi and Vanessa, I will do a rebuttal to team Hamliza's claim. Hamilton had an affair...and then TOLD THE WHOLE WORLD ABOUT IT and cheated on Eliza. That was a really bad move of him to make, and he didn't consider how the Reynolds Pamphlet would affect Eliza at ALL when he published it. Our closing statement is that Usnavi and I are the OTP couple out of all of them because we are a cute couple and we have known each other for a long time before we started dating.

Daniela: WHOO! CARLA AND I MADE THEM HAPPEN!

Me: Thank you Vanessa. The next couple is Benny and Nina.

Nina: As a representative for team Benny and Nina, I will do a rebuttal to team Philidosia's claim. Philidosia is a noncanon ship in the Hamilton universe. There was NO mention of them dating or anything, it could very well be on par with noncanon ships such as Jamilton, Mullette, and Burliza. Our closing statement is that Benny and I are the OTP couple out of all of them because we bring out the best in each other and Benny helped my gain a lot of my confidence back the year I dropped out of Stanford.

Me: Thank you Nina. Next couple is JDRonica.

Veronica: As a representative for team JDRonica, I will do a rebuttal to team Usnavi and Vanessa's claim. Compared to Nina and Benny, they do not get much of a development as a couple in the show as I would like. Some could say that Nina and Benny are the alpha couple, or the couple that gets the most focus in the show. Our closing statement is that JDRonica is the OTP couple in the show because we get a lot of development in the show.

Me: Thank you, Veronica. Last but not least, Roger and Mimi.

Mimi: As a representative for team Roger and Mimi, I will do a rebuttal to team Philidosia's REBUTTAL...

Anna of Cleves: Can she do that?

Me: Yep.

Mimi: Roger and I bring out the best in each other. He has helped me with my drug addiction and I am on my way to recovering from it, and I helped him thaw and enjoy life for once. And even though we bickered a bit early on, we really truly love each other. Since we bring out the best in each other and I got revived from near death because of him, we should be the OTP.

Me: Okay! That's all for the debates! Judges, and everyone watching! Place your votes on the google form I shared with y'all!

Madison: I'm going for Hamliza...

Carla: Hmmm...Roger and Mimi!

Catherine Parr: The ship that has the most votes, and gets bragging rights for ultimate OTP is...

Catherine of Aragon: Maria, give us a drumroll!

(Maria (Catherine of Aragon's lady in waiting and the drummer in the Six band) does a drumroll)

Jane Seymour: Hamliza!

Hamilton: YES!

(Everyone claps)

J.D.: Congratulations. (Under his breath, to Veronica) But we're OTP to me...

Sonny: Good for you!

Carla: Wow!

Eliza: Thank you everyone! Thank you!
