Movie Time!

Me: Hey, guys! Welcome to another episode of  "Ask Musical Characters"!

The queens: Hi, everyone!

Hamilton: Is it just me, or is it more relaxing because it's Saturday?

J.D. and Jefferson: It's just you.

King George: Let's get on with it already! What's today's question?

Me: Today's question is from SamBam260

Usnavi: Can I say "In The Heights" even though it's not gonna be out for a long time?

Hamilton: That's ridiculous.

Burr: (Facepalms because of Hamilton)

Usnavi: You're just salty that you don't have a movie yet!

Me: Cut it out, you two, or it's off to the timeout corner. And yes, 'Snavi, you can totally say "In The Heights"! I'm hyped about it, too.

Usnavi: THANK YOU! See, even the HOST agrees with me!

Hamilton: Whatever.

Daniela: Carla, Vanessa, and I love "West Side Story", although it's pretty tragic.

Me: Oh, it's getting a remake and a revival on Broadway, too.

Vanessa: Oh, really, when?

Me: Both are happening in 2020.

Daniela: I'm so excited!

Hamilton: Well, my friends and I like to watch "Heathers".

Veronica, J.D., and the Heathers: Wait, what?!

Me: Before the musical, back in 1988, "Heathers" came out and it's where it all started.

Hamilton: Yeah, it's our favorite movie.

Laurens: We talk about it all the time, right?

Eliza and Burr: All. The. Time.

Burr: They always quote the movie and stuff!

Eliza: And I constantly have to remind him to not play it in front of the kids.

Philip: My mom didn't let me see it until I was 18, like, come on!

Eliza: It's too raunchy!

Philip: But I was mature when I was 16 or 17! Why not then?

Eliza: It's. Rated. R. We talked about this, and I don't want to argue with you again.

Me: Who's your favorite Heather?

Heather D.: Obviously me!

Heather C.: Shut up, Heather! It's me!

Heather M.: Well, I'm the nice one, so...

Hamilton: Heather Chandler.

Laurens: Heather Duke.

Lafayette: Heather McNamara.

Mulligan: VERONICA!!!!!

Veronica: Oh, boy.....

Heather McNamara: My favorite movie is "The Princess Bride".

Me: I read the whole book for my English class and only saw clips of the movie, but the book was pretty nice.

Veronica: Yeah. Ever since prom night, when we watched it with Martha, we've bonded over it.

Angelica: My favorite movie is "Rent".

Me:  Oh, really? Is it because your actress was in a production of "Rent"?

Angelica: Not the reason, but seriously?

Me: There is a video of her singing "Out Tonight" as Mimi Marquez on YouTube. Let's react to it.

https://youtu.be/w48UFnGMwqo

(Timeskip to after the video.  )

Hamilton: Wow... just... wow!

Angelica: Hey! She may look like me, but EYES ON YOUR WIFE! I thought you learned that lesson!

Catherine of Aragon: Yeah! Eliza doesn't deserve any s--- from men!

Katherine Howard: Yeah!

Laurens: I love this song! (Belts from the top of his lungs) WHAT'S THE TIME?! WELL, IT'S GOTTA BE CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT!

Me: (Also belting from the top of my lungs) MY BODY'S TALKING TO ME, IT SAYS "TIME FOR DANGER"!

Veronica: The rock beat is cool!

Me: I'm, like, addicted to it, too.

Sonny: It's nice to see Latinx representation in a musical other than ours, but this actress is not Latina.

Me: The role of Mimi also can be played by African Americans, and the original actress for Mimi is, in fact, Latina, and she will be playing Daniela in the "In The Heights" movie!

Daniela and Carla: No me diga!

Me: Yep! Her name is Daphne Rubin-Vega. Anyone else have a favorite movie they want to share?

Sonny: Well, I watched Avengers: Endgame...

Me: Really? You think it was worth the hype?

Sonny: Yep.

Usnavi: He was crying loads, I had to ask him if he was okay too many times to count.

Philip: I watched it, too and it was really good. I was really excited for the movie to come out. And don't worry, Sonny, I cried, too.

Hamilton: His siblings told me that he cried during the opening credits.

Philip: Pops!

Me: (Chuckles)

Benny: Nina and I love the movie La La Land.

Nina: Yep. It's so sad that Sebastian and Mia didn't end up getting married...

Me: Yeah, I was so sad about that, too.

Heather C.: Whatever! Oh, boo-hoo!

Me: Heather, one more nasty word out of you and it's off to the timeout corner!

Eliza: I love the movie "Grease"!

Me: I haven't watched it, but I do love the song "Summer Nights".

Peggy: Me, too! (Singing) Tell me more, tell me more!

Anne Boleyn: Well, us six love a little "Pitch Perfect".

Catherine Parr: Yeah, it reminds us of our becoming a band.

Anna of Cleves: But seriously, Howard and Boleyn sing the cup song 24/7 and it's really getting on my nerves.

Katherine Howard: (Singing) I've got a ticket for the long way 'round...

Anna of Cleves: Stop!

King George: OKAY, I ADMIT IT! I HAVE A GUILTY PLEASURE IN WATCHING "THE SOUND OF MUSIC"!

Hamilsquad: Huh?

Me: Oh really? It's a really good movie if I do say so myself.

King George: I know, right, those von Trapps are precious!

Me: ...and you can't go wrong with Julie Andrews! Anyway, that's all the time we have for today! See you guys tomorrow!

Everyone: Bye!

[A/N: I have a new chapter of my one-shot book out, and I would really love it if you guys would check it out! Thanks!]
