Les Misérables (Part 2)
Me: Hey, everyone! Hope you guys had a great week!
Veronica: Yeah! Best wishes from us to you!
Anne Boleyn: The other queens and I hope to get down with y'all soon!
Hamilton: Meanwhile, PLEASE follow social distancing guidelines, even though places are going to start re-opening soon.
Usnavi: Okay, so we have found out that the In The Heights movie is now scheduled to come out on June 18, 2021.
Everyone: [Exclamations of "Oh no!" and "Whyyyyy?!"]
J.D.: We have to wait another f***in' year?!
Sonny: I KNOW, RIGHT?!
Nina: Yes, we, too, are sad that we have to wait another year, but like Abuela Claudia said "paciencia y fe"! We feel that the movie did NOT sit in development Hell for 10 years just to get rushed out as soon as quarantine is over and then seen in a half-empty movie theater, considering what's going on right now.
Carla: Yeah, I don't think people will be comfortable in movie theaters for quite some time even when quarantine is lifted, which, hopefully, will be soon.
Benny: So sit tight for another year, and then IT'LL BE THE BIGGEST PARTY OF SUMMER 2021!
The ITH characters: WHOOOO!
Daniela: I can assure you, the wait will be worth it. GET YOUR FLAGS READY THEN!
King George: Hopefully things will get better soon.
Me: Yeah.
Catherine Parr: Yeah, we have missed meeting with the Queendom, but it's for the best.
Angelica: Yep. Peggy, the Hamiltons, and I have been doing Zoom calls.
Philip: At least we get to say "hi" online!
Me: Okay, so we are going to pick up where we left off in Les Mis! Let's dive right into act two!
Everyone: Yay!
[During Building The Barricade/Upon These Stones]
Lafayette: Okay, looks like the Revolution's going on full force.
J.D.: Yep.
Heather D.: Whaaaat? Éponine's dressed as a boy?
Veronica.: And Marius STILL doesn't notice that she loves him!
Hamilton: A letter to Cosette from Marius?
[During On My Own]
Me: Ah yes! This is a pretty famous musical theater solo.
Heather M.: I heard Lea Salonga auditioned for "Miss Saigon" with this and that's how she landed the lead role as Kim!
Veronica: That's very cool!
Me: Yep!
Katherine Howard: The melody sounds like the one Fantine sang when she was dying.
Peggy: Okay, but I feel SO bad for Éponine! Why can't Marius just notice her?
[During At The Barricade]
Burr: Ooh! So the barricade's now complete!
Madison: And it looks like the students are being rallied for battle.
[During Little People]
J.D.: Ooh! Looks like Javert's cover's blown!
[During A Little Fall of Rain]
Jane Seymour: (Gasps when Éponine is shot) Oh no!
Philip: No! She's dead! (He's tearing up)
Eliza: (Also tearing up) That brings back some of our own memories...
[During Night of Anguish]
Anne Boleyn: Whyyyyyy! Why did she have to die!
Peggy: I KNOW, RIGHT?! THIS IS SO ANGSTY! ÉPONINE DESERVED BETTER!
Anne Boleyn: Wait, turn that into a hashtag and trend it on Twitter!
Peggy: On it! (Gets her phone out and starts tweeting)
[During The First Attack]
Anna of Cleves: BE LIKE VALJEAN, EVERYBODY!
Me: It's big of him to free his captor...
[During Drink With Me]
Anna of Cleves: Ooh! A drinking song!
Hamilton: Still doesn't beat "The Story of Tonight"!
Laurens: (Singing) I may not live to see our glory!
The Hamilsquad and Philip: I may not live to see our glory...
J.D.: Okay, can we move on, already?!
Veronica: Yeah!
[During Dawn of Anguish]
Lafayette: No! The masses are not joining them!
Heather C.: And without that, they're SURE to fail!
Catherine of Aragon: I feel so bad for them!
[During The Second Attack/Death of Gavroche]
Katherine Howard: Oh no! First that and now Gavroche dies?
King George: Why are so many people dying?!
Peggy: I KNOW, right?!
[During The Final Battle]
The Hamilsquad: WHOOOOOO!!! REVOLUTION!
Hamilton: THIS IS LIKE THE WAR ALL OVER AGAIN!
Angelica: Oy...
Catherine of Aragon: You said it.
Jane Seymour: Oof, so many people are dropping like flies!
Veronica: It's pretty sad.
[During Dog Eats Dog/The Sewers]
Veronica: Ugh! That Thénardier guy again!
Benny: I despise him more and more!
[During Javert's Suicide]
Nina: What's going on? Why is he committing suicide?
Me: He finds that Valjean's merciful acts toward him not reconcilable with his own perception of Valjean, which is "irredeemable criminal".
[During Turning]
Eliza: As the wife of a soldier, I understand the feeling these women feel, and I'm so sorry for all their losses...
Lafayette: Wow...a lot of casualties...
[During Empty Chairs at Empty Tables]
Anne Boleyn: Oh! A Marius solo!
Madison: But it's a sad one...
Burr: Yeah...looks like he has a bit of survivor's guilt.
[During Every Day]
Sonny: Well, I wanted him so bad to end up with Éponine...but she's dead...(tears up)
[During Valjean's Confession]
Jefferson: So Marius is asking Valjean to live with him and Cosette?
Me: Yeah, because of his thanks for, quote, "giving him Cosette".
Peggy: Ooh! But Valjean declines!
[During Wedding Chorale]
King George: Ooh! A wedding!
Me: Yep, between Marius and Cosette. Though I AM on team Éponine.
[During Beggars at the Feast]
Everyone: Ugh! The Thénardiers!
Me: The nerve of them to crash the wedding!
Mulligan: So they're saying that it's through their treacherous ways they come out on top?!
Jefferson: THAT'S SICK!
J.D.: Those b****rds!
Veronica: That reminds me of someone! (Coughs) Heather C. (Coughs)
[During Valjean's Death/Finale]
Anne Boleyn: And I oop...
Katherine Howard: Another death! Nooo! And it's Valjean this time!
Catherine of Aragon: well, that's a bittersweet ending!
[After the song ends]
Me: So, what did everyone think of Les Mis?
Catherine of Aragon: Well, it was a rollercoaster, that's for sure.
Anna of Cleves: You got that right.
Sonny: I liked the music!
J.D.: I think I'll watch the movie sometime soon...as if I have anything better to do.
Angelica: Yeah! I think I'll watch it live on West End once the quarantine is over.
Peggy: Count me in!
Me: I'm glad you guys all enjoyed it! Okay, that's all the time we have for today!
Mulligan: Feel free to comment, request, and vote!
Me: Until next time!
Everyone: Bye!
