Me: Okay, we are doing two things! So first we have a question from crackhead_theatre for the Heathers.

Heather M.: For keeping our social status... eh, it's not that hard.

Veronica: (Nods) Yeah, seems legit.

Heather D.: I mean, we ARE the most popular girls at school.

Heather C.: Right... and as for the LGBT community, I guess I'm neutral, I mean, I don't really have an opinion on them. I don't hate them though.

Me: I'm not really THAT familiar with the musical, so please stand by as I do a quick search... okay, so apparently it's about a guy named Charlie Price who inherits a shoe factory from his dad and he partners up with a drag queen, Lola, to produce a line of high heeled boots to save his family business.

Heather C.: I mean, who DOESN'T love high heeled boots?

(She and the other Heathers show their high heeled boots on camera)

Nina: I certainly do! Even though I prefer flats.

Me: All right! Let's get on with it!

Jefferson: The first ensemble part sounds like a jingle.

Madison: Yeah.

Daniela: Wow, Charlie's father must really love shoes.

Me: Apparently. Oh, so this starts out with a young Charlie, and I think most of the musical takes place when he's an adult.

Veronica: Who's this other boy?

Me: Simon, AKA Lola.

Heather M.: What kind of father calls his son "stupid"?!

Vanessa: A bad one, that's who.

Carla: And there's new woman!

Me: That's Nicola who is Charlie's fiancée.

Sonny: Oh, so now he's an adult.

Philip: Looks like he wants to do something else besides make shoes.

Me: So at this point, Charlie's father has passed away and Charlie wants to save the factory and his family legacy. He meets up with his friend Harry at a pub.

Usnavi: Wow... everything around them changed...

Benny: Yeah... I hope that doesn't happen to the Heights...

Sonny: And what he's saying about not fighting the inevitable is true in some sense.

Heather M.: So this is Lola...

J.D.: I wonder what would happen if she and Angel from "Rent" met?

Me: Hmmm... I dunno! That would be interesting.

Eliza: Ooh! And she has a group of backup singers to boot!

Me: She's in a drag queen troupe.

[During "Charlie's Soliloquy/Step One"]

Me: At this point, Charlie laid off a few people and one particular person, Lauren, exploded at him

Veronica: Ah, yes... "Do I belong here"... the question asked by many a high schooler.

J.D.: That's a huge mood!

(He and Veronica high five.)

Lafayette: So he's designing a woman's boot comfortable for a man?

Peggy: Seems it.

Jane Seymour: Yay! Now we see a more positive side of Charlie!

Hamilton: Yep! NO ONE shuts his family down!

Angelica: Um... the title?

Me: Yeah, we'll just... ignore that.

Peggy: Looks like Lola is disappointed in Charlie's first attempt.

Katherine Howard: I think the most important part of a boot is the material-slash-design but okay...

Heather C.: I agree with Katherine, too!

Catherine of Aragon: Looks like Lauren is falling for Charlie...

Katherine Howard: I... this is a song that I also can relate to...

Angelica: Awww... it's okay, Katherine...

Peggy: I'm sending you a virtual hug!

Katherine: Thanks.

J.D.: Huh, looks like Charlie and Lola have something they got in common.

Anna of Cleves: Yeah, both went against their fathers' wishes for their future.

Me: Yeah, Lola was trained to be a boxer, but after she showed up to a match in drag, she got disowned.

Heather M.: Yeah, Charlie and Lola are a lot alike in the not-wanting-to-be-like-their-father department.

Mulligan: Yeah! Be your own person, Charlie!

Heather D.: This song seems a little repetitive though.

[During "What A Woman Wants"]

Me: So this is Act 2. Apparently at this point some people are not happy about the change in the product line, especially Don who taunts Lola. Lola taunts him back!

Mulligan: Ooooh! Lola went IN!

J.D.: Yep!

[During "In This Corner"]

Me: So Lola challenges Don to a boxing match!

J.D.: Ooh! This is gonna get good! (Rubs hands together)

Anne Boleyn: Yeah! Can't wait!

Catherine Parr: And it looks like Lola's winning!

(At the end)

Catherine of Aragon: Wait, WHAT-

Me: Yes, Don won. But later, Lola reveals that she LET Don win...because she isn't so cruel to let Don get humiliated in front of his friends.

Mulligan: OOOOOOH!

Benny: Well, that's what's different about those two people...

[During "Charlie's Soliloquy (Reprise)"]

Me: Welp, things are at a low point, with Charlie lashing out at Lola...

Daniela: He done [bleep!]ed up...

Jane Seymour: At least he feels bad.

Heather M.: So the boot plan flopped...

Catherine Parr: And Charlie hit rock bottom...

Me: Yeah... he feels like he needs to live up to his dad's success.

[During "Hold Me In Your Heart"]

J.D.: So Lola's trying to make things right with her dying dad...

Me: Yeah...

Peggy: The lyrics are beautiful...

Philip: [Tearing up] I'm not crying... you are!

King George: [Also tearing up] Same here!

Me: So without any models, Charlie is threatened to have to walk the runway by himself but... Lola saves the day!

Anne Boleyn: Whoo! Everything's right again!

Veronica: "Beautiful"... ha! Reminds me of MY song...

Me: So what did everyone think of "Kinky Boots"?

Angelica: I think that the message of being your own person and accepting people for who they are is pretty important.

Catherine of Aragon: Yeah! I agree too!

Benny: Yeah, it seems like a good show!

Heather M.: I like the soundtrack!

Me: Great input! (Gets a text, gasps)

Nina: What is it?

Me: Well, we have reached 10K reads, 10.5K as we speak! So, I pulled some strings with Mark and Roger, and I had them talk to Benny, so as soon as this crazy virus stuff is over... WE ARE RELOCATING TO A WAY BETTER STUDIO IN NEW YORK CITY!

Everyone: WHOOOOOO!

Nina: This is great!

Sonny: I KNOW, RIGHT?!

Heather M.: I can't wait!

Anne Boleyn: Looks like we queens are going to stay in New York after all!
