Akira sat to Yui's left on the sofa in the vampire's house. On an armchair to their right sat the one called Ayato, with his foot up on the chair he sat staring at them. His eyes flickering from the too. Yui's hands were on her lap and she was looking forward, not daring to meet his eye. She was terrified, she had no clue what was happening and it made Akira feel sick. How could the Church allow this? To send girls into this house time and time again because they were a 'sacrificial bride.' At least Yui wasn't going through this alone, all those other girls would have had to. All this because the Church didn't want to get on Karl Heinz bad side, all this for the succession of the vampire throne. In Akira's opinion they should be trying to destroy the throne, not help it along.

"Now." Reiji's deep voice snapped Yui out of whatever trance she was in and they both turned to look at him. "For the sake of formality let's begin. Why don't you let us about yourselves and how you both came to enter this house."

"Right...well, I eh..." Yui was cut off by the sound of someone laughing.

"Well what do we have here? Could it be that not one but two cute human girls have decided to pay us a visit?" Yui and Akira looked up to see another vampire leaning on the railing. He almost the same hair colouring as Ayato, except his was lighter and covered by a hat but the two shared the same cold and calculating green eyes. Akira blinked for a second and her was gone. He appeared in between them and licked Yui on the cheek. Yui moved away from him holding her cheek. "My, you smell so sweet and your skin tastes delicious."

"Please let my have a lick too." Said another voice appearing behind her and licking her ear. A boy with purple hair and eyes, dark bags under his eyes and clutching a teddy to his chest. Yui put both her hands to her cheeks and shook her head. That was when the one with the hat turned his attention to Akira. "You're right, she does taste sweet."

"And you. Well you're simply the most beautiful girl to ever wonder into our halls." He said with a smirk. He took a piece of her red hair in his hand, he pressed it against his face and took a deep breath.

"Her hair is so pretty." Said the purple hair one as he seemed to move instantaneously to Akira's left side. He buried his head into her hair and began to nuzzle in.

"Stop that you two. It's highly inappropriate for you to behan so impolitely towards young women you have only just met."

"But why? It's only natural to want to taste things that look and smell so yummy. Kanato agrees with me." Replied the one with the hat.

"Yes, I do." The purple hair one said with a smile.

"Hey knock it off you guys. Have you forgotten that yours truly is the one that saw them both first. Consequently yours truly will be their first everything." Ayato replied.

"Oh come on now Ayato, you can have both of them." The one with the hate responded as he appeared sitting in between them. "Can't we at least have some fun with the red head?" He said taking Akira's face in between his for finger and thumb and bring his face so close to hers that their cheeks were touching. His lips her brushing her cheekc gentle as Akira fought her great urge to take one of her concealed knives and stab his now exposed neck.

"That pleasure belongs to your truly." Ayato replied.

"Lame." Sighed another voice from somewhere in the room. The one with the hat smirked at Akira but let go of her and move his face away. "I'm so sick of hearing you call yourself yours truly." Ayato jumped up out of his chair.

"What the hell? Dammit Subaru I know that was you. Come out and show yourself." He shouted.

"I'm right here." Said a voice. A boy with white hair and pink eyes appeared standing next to the wall opposite Ayato. Akira counted 5, there was still one more to come. "I thought I smelt two humans in here. Guess I was right. Who are these mortals that dare awaken me from my precious sleep?" He shouted angrily glaring both Akira and Yui down. Akira however was returning the glare unweaving only.

"How - how did you enter this room so quietly?" Yui asked timidly.

"You will answer my question first." He shouted back punching the wall to his right. Yui looked terrified while Akira was simple watching, learning. His weak spot was clearly his anger, Ayato's weakness was definitely his pride. She needed to work out the others, the more she knew the easily she could come up with a plan to kill them if she needed too. There was no way she could kill them by just fighting them, they were too strong and fast. She would need a plan. Reiji Fixed his glassed and huffed, drawing in everyone's attention.

"Do any of you know what's going on here? I must find out why these young women have come here to live with us." Ayato sat back down. After a moments silence Yui stood up.

"Well I think this is just some sort of misunderstanding." She bowed to Reiji and grabbed Akira by the hand. "So we'll be on our way now." She said heading for the door whilst pulling Akira along with her.

"Yui..." Akira was about to tell her that it was pointless, they were meant to be here and there was no escape for them but she stopped herself. Luckily Yui hadn't heard her friend's small cry of desperation.

"Wait just a minute." Reiji called causing Yui to stop walking. "I'm attempting to get to the bottom of the situation here. Don't you think it would be rather dicutious to leave right now?" This guy had a thing for manners, a perfectionist no doubt. That was his weakness, Akira thought.

"But...but we..." Yui trailed off.

"I wonder if they are the young women that he mentioned the other day." A 6th voice entered the room. Akira and Yui looked around to see a tall blonde hair boy lying down on a sofa at the far end of the room. He had earphones in and his eyes were closed.

"Shu, do you know something about these girls and why they are here?" Asked the purpled haired one.

"Maybe"

"Don't give us this maybe crap. I think we would all appreciate an explanation." The teddy hugging vampire replied.

"It was that guy. He contacted me a couple days ago. He told me that we would have two guests arriving from the church and that we should treat them with respect."

"What? Are you telling me that one of these are the prospective brides?"

"Huh?" Said Yui.

"Oh is this all this is?" The hatted one replied.

"But which one is it?" Asked the purpled haired one.

"It's the blonde one." The one called Shu replied. "He said that she would be coming with a red head, her sister."

"Well now I'm a little disappointed." Said the one with the hat as he smirked at Akira. She shot him a glare which didn't seem to bother him at all. He was a massive pervert, Akira thought, there's a weakness right there. She glanced at the purple haired one, she was sure that that teddy of his was a weakness. The way he clung to it like his life depended on it suggested it was important to him, she could use that...somehow. "I mean let's be honest the blonde one is more like a sacrifice than a bride really."

"Oh yeah, he explicitly said we're not supposed to kill her." The blonde haired vampire said, opening his eyes for the first time. There were a stunning blue colour that caught Akira off guard a little. She frowned at herself, he was a vampire. There was nothing good about him.

"Oh really? Well if that's the case then we're going to have very long relationships with these women." He said eye balling Akira. Reiji turned to look at them.

"It appears there is no misunderstanding after all. So allow us to introduce ourselves. That is the eldest son Shu." He was back to having his eyes closed, not caring about what was going on but Akira struggled to take her eyes of him. "My name is Reiji and I'm the second son. Next are the triplets, Ayato."

"I'll let neither of you get away from me next time." He said with a smirk.

"Kanato." Reiji said looking at the purpled haired one.

"I hope to taste you again very soon." He commented with a creepy smile towards Yui.

"And Laito." Reiji finished.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance little bitch." He said looking at Yui. "I hope you and I can have a little fun some time." He added with a wink towards Akira.

"The last son is Subaru."

"Tch, what a waste of time." He spat looking away from them in annoyance.

"I still think this has to be some sort of mistake. Nobody said anything about me being somebody's bride. Akira do you know anything about this?" She said looking at her friend for some sort of justification.

"I don't." She replied coldly, hating that she couldn't give her anything more than that.

"Well anyway, the 6 of you...your all kind of...weird." She added staring at them. She took a step back. "I think, we need to contact our Father." As she said that Ayato revealed her pink flip up phone and opened it. "That's my cell phone, you give that back to me now."

"Do you really think that I should?" He said sadistically as Yui ran towards him, she made a grab for the phone but Ayato was pulled it out of her reach like it was nothing. It wasn't for him.

"Give it back, come on please." She begged him while he simple laughed. Akira watched as Subaru appeared behind them. They all moved so quickly, she couldn't keep up with their movements. No wonder they said that pure bloods were so much harder to kill. He grabbed the phone from Ayato making the two stop play fighting and look up at him.

"What are you doing?" Yui asked him.

"This is what I'm doing." He replied as he crushed her phone in his hand like it was made of paper. He let the broken phone fall to the floor.

"How could you?" Yui gasped.

"Get lost." He said and walked away. Yui turned to look at Akira.

"What about yours?" She asked her sister running towards her. Akira inwardly sighed, of course now she was just going to get her phone broken too. Akira reached into her pocket and pulled out her cellphone. She held it towards Subaru.

"Do you want the honours?" She asked him plainly. She let the phone fall to the floor and in a flash Subaru was in front of her. He stabbed the phone with his heel of his foot. "Do you feel better now?" She asked him sarcastically. There was no point trying to run from them, they weren't going to escape. Even if by some miracle they did, they would only be sent back in by the Church. They had to be there, only if they returned they would now be in a house with 6 pissed off vampires. A worse position for them to be in now.

"Shut up mortal." He replied as he sulked off back to his broken wall.

"But why..." Yui began but didn't finish her sentence before Laito appeared behind her on her left with Kanato on her right. He placed a hand on her shoulder and moved his face so close to hers that he was talking directly into her ear.

"Aw, there there little bitch. It'll be okay, your sister just understands that there is no escape. Beside why would you want to? You're both about to become very good friends with us so you'll have no need for those silly old cell phones, right?"

"To tell you the truth I'm feeling a little bit peckish at the moment." Kanato commented. Akira gritted her teeth and moved her hand towards he wait were some of her knives were hidden. An action that hadn't gone un noticed by Reiji.

"Don't I know it." Laito said moving closer to her ear. "You smell so delicious it's intoxicating, little bitch." He opened his mouth and Akira moved into action. She grabbed Yui's hand as she saw the fangs and screamed. Akira pulled Yui so that she was behind her and Yui began to run, thinking that Akira who was glaring at Liato in the eyes would be following her but she tripped and fell face down towards the ground. Her cry of pain made Akira take her eyes off Laito and run towards her.

"Yui." She said as she bent down and placed a placed on Yui's should, helping her roll over onto her back. She sat up and winced both Akira and Yui looked down to see blood coming from a graze on her knee. "Crap." Said Akira without thinking as she whipped her head around to see 6 hungry vampires looking at her with red eyes. Akira stood up, making sure Yui was safely behind her, one arm out as a warning for them to stay away.

"They are all....vampires." Yui said with a shaky voice. Yui reached in her pocket and took out her rose cross, a gift from her Father. She stuck it out towards them with all her might. "Take that you monsters." That won't work, Akira thought but of course she wouldn't know that. The knives she had one her might through. Everything was still for a second, a second that felt like hours. The suspense in the room was high and Akira was at breaking point. There was a small laugh of amusement that came from Shu who was still laid causally on the sofa with his eyes closed.

"Honestly." Said Reiji as he sat down and Yui pulled her cross towards her chest. "You can't really believe there's any truth to that old fairy tale written by a mortal. The one that claims vampires are vulnerable to garlic, hold crosses and sunshine. Just goes to show how foolish and arrogant mortals can be and it infuriated me." Yui stood up, her breath was shaking. She was terrified, Akira however was not. She was just angry and it showed in her face. Her eyes darted from vampire to vampire, trying to assess if they were going to attack and which one would make the first move. Yui suddenly grabbed Akira extended hand, turned and ran towards the door. This was useless Akira thought, this was it for them. They couldn't escape and it was pointless to try but still, she had to let Yui figure that out by herself. If not, it would be apparent that she knew more than she was letting on....
