Wrong, they owe you everything.

This sentence infuriates me so much. Celebrities are on some kind of campaign to figure out how to talk to fans as little as possible, and their latest strategy is to convince their fans they nothing they do matters. And somehow this shit is working! 

No! You buy albums, and movie and concert tickets, you show up to see movies and concerts, you leave positive reviews, you spread word online, you buy merch, you vote online in polls and for awards, you watch the YouTube videos. You do everything to help them succeed.

What is a musical artist who's records don't sell, who has no fans, who's shirts don't sell, who's concerts are completely empty? They are a daytime Applebee's employee writing songs in their basement. And that person could be so incredibly talented, but they get nowhere because they have no fans supporting them.

Think hard about your favorite movie star, musician, whatever. Now think about what they'd be doing if no one saw their movies and concerts and bought their albums and supported them in any way. What would they be doing? If that person was not successful at all, no matter how talented they were, what would they be doing? Nothing! Nothing! They wouldn't have a career!

Yes they do owe you, yes they should acknowledge you, they don't have to bend over backwards, but it doesn't take that many muscles to wave or even at least look at somebody. 

Keep thinking they don't owe you anything while giving them your hard earned money and dedicating your life and your time to them, they'll keep laughing all the way to the bank.

And celebrities, how about you buy all the tickets for your own shows, buy all your own merch, watch your own videos on YouTube a million times, buy your songs a million times, and do all the shit your fans do for you, since you think you're the only reason your famous and nobody else.
