Though Cay's idea was good (actually, brilliant!!), I thought it was stupid because we all knew Cay was the best person for the job.

I knew they'd vote for her (the unbiased among them, that is). I knew whom I'd vote for.

Cay got 18 chits and passed them around.

When I got 2, I unhesitatingly wrote on the first, 'CAYANNE RS'. I then took the second, thought for a minute and then wrote, 'ANGELA VARNIER'. I gave them facedown to Cay, the way she instructed us.

I realized my folly and took back the chits and changed the script in the second chit to 'ANGELA VARNIER  Angela Varnier' and gave it back to Cay. She put them all in a box.

Just then, Cay's phone rang with that un-missable lively tune of 'Everything at Once'- her favourite rendition by Lenka.

'Twas her mom. She had called us down for lunch.

We went down and ate her mom's trademark dish. It was delicious and sumptuous. We went back upstairs.

And drove straight into the matter that was in the core of everyone's heart and took the bull by its horns.
