Miku POV
It was the day where we had to show our music video and everyone was very nervous. Some of us decided to show it and some of us hid it. Sora, Natsuki and Mayu were very nervous and you could see it just by looking at them.

"So next are Mayu, Sora, Riku, Miku, Izumi and Natsuki.", Arisugawa-sensei called and I could see Mayu tensing up a bit.

Izumi stood up and projected the video and after it was over everyone was very silent. It was so silent you could hear a needle falling.

The next second everyone clapped and cheered and I felt very relieved seeing everyone sigh out in relief. "That was very good.", sensei praised us also clapping lightly. The next music videos were played before sensei decided the winner.

"The winner is... Group Izumi.", she said and it took a while for us to comprehend before we stood up and walked to the front. "Congratulations. The price this year is very great. For the winners this year, you can feel honored, their debut is secure.", she told us and we gasped at her in disbelief.

"Ehhhhhh?!", everyone shouted in shock. "We can have our debut?", Sora repeated in disbelief. "Yes. Although individually, you'll be allowed to debut in your fields.", she explained.

"Th-Thank you very much.", we all thanked her bowing to her. Sensei walked out and the others congratulated us. This was all so surreal that we would have a secure debut here.

It is not immediately but it is sure. Mayu hugged me in happiness. "This is so wonderful. You can become a famous pianist now.", she told me and I nodded smiling at her.

"And the world will know what kind of a great singer you are.", I told her. We were all happy until we suddenly heard a voice crying out in frustration. "Why did you win?! I deserved to win this!", a girl with long blonde hair walked up to us.

She had too much makeup on if you would ask me. "Excuse me... who are you?", Izumi asked her. "Aiko. Why did you win this?! I was way better than your vocalist!", she screeched pointing at Mayu. "Hey, knock that off!", Sora said starting to walk up to her but was held back by Riku.

"Hey, it's not you who gets to decide that. It's sensei. And she decided that Mayu was better than you.", I told her.

"How dare you say that?!", she said as she walked up to me and pushed me as I tripped and fell.

I don't know how it happened but when I opened my eyes I saw my hands were covered in blood hurting. I blankly started at them my face visibly paling. "Wh-why did you do that? She is a pianist, you know? You just injured her hands! Why did you have to be so aggressive?!", Mayu said.

"It's fine...", I muttered but she shook her head. "She injured your hands, Miku.", Mayu glared at Aiko who recovered from shock as she forced a grin. "It's her fault for tripping! She is an idiot. And I don't understand how your voice was good enough to get in here.", she insulted us.

"Hey! Like you can see Mayu has a better voice than you'll ever have considering that sensei chose her over you.", Sora defended her.

"You—", she slowly jumped towards Mayu attempting to grab her by her throat but a boy stopped her pulling her back. "That's enough, Aiko. You are going too far.", he said.

"You don't have anything to say to me!", she screeched. I slowly stood up seeing Riku walking towards me gently taking my hands to inspect them. "You are annoying. Shut up.", he muttered as he slightly glared at her. "Th-that goes too far, Aiko.", her friend said as she walked up to us.

"Shut up. Don't you dare to defy me.", Aiko glared at her. That is when sensei came back in looking at us. "What happened here? I heard a noise.", Sensei looked at us. "Care to explain?", Sensei asked as Izumi raised his hand and started to explain everything. "Is that right?", Sensei looked at Aiko who just stuttered our words.

"No! They are lying!", she said but everyone else agreed to us. Even her own teammates agreed. "Aiko, I will have to suspend you for a week. If I hear that something like that happens again I will have to the headmaster about this.", she warned her as Aiko glared at her.

"This is not fair!", she stomped outside shouting at her friend to follow her. Sensei sighed before walking outside muttering that she had to do something. I saw from the corner of my eyes that her teammates walked up to us.

"We are very sorry for her behavior. We don't know how to apologize to you for what she did to you.", a boy said looking at my hands.

"It's fine. They will heal eventually. I can still play the piano. It's not like my fingers are broken.", I assured them. "Once again, we are very sorry. If you do need some help at some time you can tell me. I am Tatsumi.", he told me.

"I am Miku.", I said. "Then see you again.", they said as they walked outside. "We will have to disinfect them. There are many cuts but they will heal.", Riku said after analyzing my hands. "...I hate blood so could we please clean them fast?", I asked him and he nodded.

We were about to walk to the infirmary when I noticed everyone following us. "Guys, you don't have to follow us. I am fine.", I said as Mayu looked at me doubtfully. "But—".

"Mayu, didn't you have to say something to Sora?", Riku interrupted her. "That is not relevant right now.", Mayu said. "Sora you wanted to tell her something as well, didn't you? Do it now? We are going to be fine. You worry too much.", I told them. "...You are not going to back down, are you?", Mayu smiled sighing.

"Nope!", I told her. "Then... see you later.", she hugged me but I didn't hug back because I didn't want to smear her with blood. Instead I leaned a bit towards her ear and whispered her a "Good Luck" before she let me go.

"Thanks.", he thanked me and so we managed to leave and go into the infirmary.

When we opened the door no one was there so Riku told me to wash my hands while he searched for the first aid kit. He soon came back but sighed as he saw that I didn't do much.

I hate seeing blood so I just let the water pour on my hand hissing. "You know that it is not going to help just leaving your hands under the water, right?", he asked me and I nodded and reluctantly looked at it washing my hands very, and I mean it, very slowly that Riku sighed again before taking my hands and washing them for me.

"...Thanks.", I thanked him and he muttered a small "It's fine.", before returning back to his work focusing on it. He then stopped the water and looked to see what happened.

"I know she pushed you but how did you even manage to get yourselves so many cuts and wood splitters in your hands? She even scratched the back of your hand.", he said in disbelief as he lead me to the hospital bed to sit down.

He kneeled down and started pulling the splitters out. "That hurts... I hate this... at least there is no blood anymore but still...", I whined. "Good to see that you're well enough to whine about it.", he said as he bandaged my hands.

"Thanks. Playing piano will be a pain for a while...", I sighed. "You'll get through it.", he patted my head but didn't let go of my hand. "Is something the matter?", I asked him.

"You know, today I learned something. I just noticed when you injured your hands but I felt that I didn't want you to be hurt.", he told me.

"Well of course. We are all friends after all.", I nodded in agreement. "No, I felt it in a different way. I wanted to protect you.", he said and I had a feeling what he wanted to tell me but I didn't want to jump to conclusions.

"I don't want to talk around it so I'll just say it directly: I love you. Wanna go out with me?", he asked me looking into my eyes. I was stunned for a moment before nodding.

"Sure. ...I love you too.", I told him after a while and he smiled nodding. "I know.", he said. "You know?", I asked him in disbelief.

"Yeah. Mayu and Sora always hinted it and told me I should confess. You were the only one who didn't notice.", he told me.

"Mayu and Sora encouraged me as well. Hey, did they also ask you for help?", I asked him and he rolled his eyes nodding. "Mayu was fine and all but Sora was really annoying.", he told me and I nodded in agreement.

"Right? I just hope that everything will go well.", I said. "It will be fine. The feeling is mutual after all.", he assured me. We stayed silent for a while before Riku started speaking again.

"Wanna do an anime marathon?", he asked me and I nodded following outside. I noticed him slowing his pace and taking my hand. Oh, right.

We were dating so that would be normal. This... is nice after all. I could get used to this.

Meanwhile at Mayu and Sora
Mayu and Sora were walking together keeping a light conversation. The gloomy atmosphere has been swept off a long time ago because both of them cheered each other up.

"So where are we going anyway?", Mayu asked Sora who just smiled in response winking at her. "It will be a surprise.", he said as they kept walking. After a while they stopped and Sora took a piece of cloth out tying it around Mayu's eyes.

"Eh? What are you doing?", she asked him. "I want to bring you somewhere but you can't see it until we are there.", he told her as he took her hand guiding her. They walked until Sora stopped causing Mayu to bump into him.

She felt the cloth sliding of her eyes and opened them to see the wide and bright night sky above her. It was so beautiful she looked at it for a long time. Sora motioned her to lie down next to him and they laid next to each other looking at the stars.

"The stars are so beautiful...", Mayu whispered knowing it was enough for Sora to hear her. "You are even prettier.", he complimented her making her blush. "Thanks.", they stayed quiet for a while before both decided to speak again.

"Sora..." "Mayu—". "Sorry, you can go first.", Mayu said. "No, it's fine. You can tell me first.", Sora insisted. After arguing back and forth for a while Mayu gave in and started to speak.

"S-sora, I think you are a great person. You shine really brightly and I admire you for that.", she started. "I think so too. Your voice gives me warmth and I mean it. ".

"Thanks. It means a lot to me. And I wanted to tell you... that... I... love you.", she whispered the last part very quietly but Sora still heard it. "Huh?", he looked at her in disbelief.

"I know that the feeling is not mutual but I think I should tell you to not regret it later... I", Mayu started sobbing but before she could apologize Sora hugged her. "You beat me to it...", he whispered. "What?", she said not understanding anything right now. "I was going to confess to you today as well but it seems like you were faster.", Sora said as he chuckled. He was so relieved that the feeling was mutual. Mayu was still trying to comprehend everything as she looked at him wide-eyed.

"Then... that means that...", she started but Sora still understood her. "Yes. I love you as well, Mayu.", he confessed smiling brightly and that's when Mayu broke into tears of relief hugging Sora tighter as he just chuckled tears in the corner of his eyes.

Both of them let go at some point looking into the sky of stars while holding hands. The stars shined as brightly as their love for each other.
